Or maybe Stane was the villain the whole time but when the Mandarin betrays him it sets up the second film or what not. He get subdued into passiveness at the end of the film, once again standing in Tony's shadow, and then starts plotting for IM2.

@@ninjakerrin3477 yes, but any actor can do that. when you look at RDJ playing iron man, you dont say "oh RDJ was good as iron man" you say "RDJ IS IRON MAN" do you say that about terrance howard? almost every other marvel hero with the exception of hulk, because litterally anyone can play that role,and they litterally changed it from ed norton to mark ruffalo fits their character. terrance howard is a bit too soft spoken to be War Machine. he is good at playing street tough in movies, but he doesnt come off as a military person to me. hes too soft spoken, too lax. he just looks like a random actor in that role. you can tell when someone embodies a role, and someone is just palying the part. i dont even think don cheedle is good in that role but hes better than terance. and i love don cheedle. hotel rowanda was amazing.
