"Recruit our top engineers, I want a prototype right away."
Even without the arc reactor, these engineers did fine works, all things considered.
That is how so many of Tony Stark enemy gain the tech to build their own armor. Many of Obidiah top engineer turn out stealing the blue print and selling it to the dark market in the comic.
He should have locked them in a cave.
WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!
@@TheCheezusCrust That's the arc reactor, not the suit itself.
Or they end up working for Mysterio
This is the dark MCU that we are currently missing, no comedy all serious. Bring it back.
there was still comedy in this movie, but it felt natural coming from Tony.
@@epicnyes but serious during the serious moments, not here’s a quick forced joke in a dark scene
It would be too successful; they need to main a certain balance of power within the media networks. Competition breeds growth and interest, kind of like the real reason why XBox and PlayStation will never merge.
Good news, Marvel's spotlight is gonna go full MA rating. Daredevil Born again got the netflix punisher director and Echo is also TV-MA featuring fisk and daredevil as well!
This is pre-MCU. MCU officially started with Iron Man 2.
This feels like it's a totally different universe/franchise to what we have currently
Tell me about it! It's just downright embarassing to witness what the MCU has become!
They replaced stoic, dangerous, intelligent men with sTrOnG iNdEpEnDeNt women. After that cringe scene with only female heroes assembling in Endgame, I knew it was all downhill from here.
@@kaj7135 Holy strawmans, batman.
@@PerfectAzrael Clearly not a strawman argument. Go like your own comment somewhere else.
@@kaj7135 When did they replace the men?
Where and when did this happen?
Let me guess. Another clown that screeches "woke" and "M She U" all day long told you to think this way.
And stop crying over the fact that someone agrees with me. Grow up.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how good Stane's guards had to be in order to capture the entire camp without making a sound that was heard inside the tent?
What
Sounds like some hydra agents would pull off to get their hands on a weapon
that's what the movie is missing: unnecessary sound to mar the tone
should make them lie down in pain would be more realistic
And without (apparently) hurting them, at least before the mass shooting...
Such a great villain. Almost felt like the mcu’s Lex Luthor.
Only not as intelligent!
The actor probably could pull off an older Lex Luthor
@@ajward9112he looks similar to the one in superman and lois tv show
Why? Because he's Bald? What a silly comment
@@Jay-Jones Because of his stage presence, the voice. Lex Luthor in DC's live action was briefly full haired, so baldness isn't everything.
"how did the soldiers disarm and overwhelm the guards??" = they all had the same mind-lock tech as Obidiah, activatable in a descreet way and they of course had the same ear protection. The 10 rings were all stunned, disarmed and dragged into position and when they woke up were on the ground unarmed dazed and surrounded, and surrendered as ordered.
Well they weren't unconscious just paralyzed.
Doesn’t make sense though, those guards were clearly not paralyzed. They were just kneeling with their hands behind their heads. The paralyze lasts for 15 minutes so there’s no way it wore off that fast
@@jetfighterAPEX
All we know is the one he used in the tent lasted for 15 minutes. It would make sense that the soldiers equipment would have the same time frame if they used it too but we have no way of knowing. It could easily be that he got the strong version with a personal handheld while they got something to knock out en-mass.
The real question is....if they used it on the guards how did it not also effect the general in the tent?
I thought you were gonna reference to ShangChi when you mentioned 10 rings 😂
Rewatching the first iron man really shows how much influence Disney has over current mcu films. The older movies were much more darker and grounded. I miss it.
Dark? Relatively perhaps.
@@trueblue6201Yea they were never that dark.
No you don't, this isn't dark, this is edgy, and its fucking cringe, Disney didn't have to do anything, Marvel just tries and FAILS to be DC ever since back in the day, maybe you groomers needa put down the marvel comics and real some real dark content.

Really miss Marvel villains being competent. Makes them pop out from a mass of "villain of the week" archetypes.
Thanos is competent.
Obadiah, indirectly, saved half of the universe.
😂😂
You can say that about anything
@@cosmicape4829I was about to say, idk what OP is talking about, that doesn't mean much. Technically had Stane killed Tony half the universe wouldn't have been extinguished anyway. Tony is the one that created Ultron which leveled Sokovia, which led to Zemo getting revenge, which led to Tony breaking up the Avengers, which then led to Thanos being able to actually get the stones because the Avengers weren't united to fight him together at full force.

This was such a great film - that period of time actually was pretty great for cinema - 2007 Transformers, 2008 Iron Man. The CGI in these films felt next level - tbh, to the extent that I felt we hadn’t seen since the LOTR Trilogy.

There's something funny about this scene. When Stane and the leader entered the tent, the terrorists and Stane's guards standing toe to toe. But, when Stane gets out, all of the Stane's guards got things under control.

It's really weird watching old movies back and thinking of what all the other characters were doing back then.
Tbf, Raza's goals seemed to be small-change compared to all all those groups. He'd probably use the suits to topple other terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and shape the region to his own liking. Probably cripple a government or two. Now w/ Shang Chi out, we can probably add "Give the tech to Wenwu" to that list.
Those groups would frankly not give a shit if Raza was messing about in the Middle East unless he began getting too big for his britches
Yeah. Even the bad guy from ant-man had what's essentially an upgraded Iron Man suit capable of flight and shooting lasers... But he got mad because it didn't shrink down...
Missed this era of the MCU...
Also I wonder how that paralyze tech got lost to time after this movie, it would have been really useful in most MCU movies after Iron Man 1.
If you pay attention this sonic technology in the Incredible Hulk and civil war. My head canon says it was developed from the paralyzer whatever.
*Me too.*
*I also missed this era* of the *Marvel Cinematic Universe!*
Obadiah later on mentions that the paralyzing tech wasn't approved for production by the government, so he might very well be using the only surviving version, maybe even the prototype. And even if other copies existed, Tony probably had them destroyed, after having the tech used on him.
The ten rings on the tent. I never noticed them before.

I’ve watched ~17-18 marvel movies I think? And this is by far the best one I’ve ever seen. The writers/execs really let themselves go by trying to make every single character a comedian. I always thought Tony was the only one that pulled off the humor well because he’s supposed to be a narcissist and have a huge ego. Like his failures he encountered with testing his second suit design in this movie, it makes sense he was putting himself in more danger than he needed to because he’s so smart that he thinks he knows he doesn’t have to be overly cautious. It’s okay in the first avengers movie too, but it’s played up way too much by the other characters even, before getting worse and worse over time
