I tell people about Dr. Baucham and how his teachings hold nothing back. They often become offended but I told them God never cared about your feelings, Paul never cared about your feelings. When God tells us to do something or live a certain way it's not based on how u feel!! It jus has to be done!!

That doesnt mean that God doesn't care about our feelings. That means that we can't use our feelings as an excuse or reason to not do what God commands us to do.
We can say, "it doesn't matter what our feelings are" and that not mean that God doesn't care about our feelings. Because He very much does care about every single thing about us.

This is probably one of the most difficult concepts to communicate. Let those who have the ears to hear, hear. Praise God for placing dr Baucham in my path and making clear the word of God and how to properly exegete. Reading through the optics of the providence and sovereignty of God is the only way to maintain intellectual integrity. Amen, somebody

Read also James 1:13-15. “When one is tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.; but each one is tempted, when, by his own evil desire, he is DRAGGED AWAY and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is Eternal Life.”

I disagree with notion that we are not responsible in our reception, rejection and consideration of the gospel. We must believe, repent, deny ourselves and follow CHRIST. To believe is not a work. I can't work, be good enough or righteous enough to earn something that has been already done and accomplished on my behalf! I believe in the message that is preached. GODS goodness draws me, drags me and I have the divine right of choice to accept, reject or hear more. Love demands a choice. Salvation isn't force on anyone of us. The faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of GOD! I can remember when GOD began to draw me back to HIMSELF and I made a decision to place my trust in the gospel for HIS salvation!

@@ctucker7002 Totally agree with you! Belief is not meritorial work. That's where Calvinist missed it at. They believe to believe in CHRIST is a work that merits salvation and it's not. Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of GOD! To believe is to place confidence and trust in what is heard or to whom it was spoken by! The HOLY SPIRIT is convicting us of sin so we can truly see our need for GOD! In order to make decision to obey the gospel. GOD is sovereign even in our power to choose because HE sets the parameters. There are 3 reactions to the gospel. Acceptation, rejection and consideration and all 3 are found in the book of Acts.

So, if we believe we saved ourselves through a decision for Christ, then we will believe we sanctify ourselves through a decision to live for Christ.
If our justification was a work, then our sanctification will also be a work.
For the rest of our lives we'll "white-knuckle" Christianity, and live defeated, exhausted, and empty.
And, one day, maybe 20 or 30 years later, we'll dump the hard grind which is this "Christianity", and say "it doesn't work".
The product of the "free will gospel" are atheists waiting to happen.

How do I say the following so I am clearly understood? Pastor Voddie, your teachings are wonderful. Your insight into and understanding of scripture is beautiful. Your teachings have answered Many questions, and validated ALOT that has come into my own mind. (And I deduce that from what words I am able to make out.) I HAVE to pause it (or the vast majority of them) at least every 5 minutes or so because I am LITERALLY exhausted from Listening. My head is buzzing. I feel like I ran a 167 mile marathon in 5 minutes JUST listening! You talk so fast I can't keep up with the words. I am out of breath just LISTENING. I feel like I need some kind of tranquilizer or something. My heart is pounding and I'm literally weak! What IS that??? I don't know if it's your anxiety to get the information to us or what but it cannot be from the Holy Spirit - the too fast talking coupled with yelling. Mostly it's too fast talking. And then for all of the yelling and too fast talking, you become so quiet, to a whisper that I can barely make out what you're saying during those sentences. What IS that? It cannot be from the Holy Spirit. Do you ever listen to the audios? I mean, Truly. If you don't, you really should as a person hearing you for the first time. Or the umpteenth time. Is it me? Am I missing something? I really want to know. I am Trying to listen and excuse the above and suffer through listening. Then I become frustrated and almost angry because I Want to listen but I can't. SOMEthing jus' ain't right.
