I grew up in church but never really understood faith and grace. Devote some serious time to John MacArthur sermons. You'll be amazed at what God has done for you. He his easily the best Bible teacher out there. He has studied and taught every verse of the New Testament covenant over 50 years in the same church.
John 5:38-40 K J V 38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Yes, there are professing Christians that believe one is not saved unless they are baptized, because they don’t understand the symbolism of faith and faith in Jesus’s sacrifice and resurrection. One is saved by grace in faith in Jesus.
Here's why there are professing Christians that believe that baptism is essential. Great Commission Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” The first recorded Gospel Sermon: Acts 2:37-38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Samaritans conversion. Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Individual conversions Simons Conversion Acts 8:13 Simon himself believed, and after being baptized he continued with Philip. And seeing signs and great miracles performed, he was amazed. The conversion of the Eunich Acts 8:36, 38-39 And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing. Paul's Conversion Acts 9:18 And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized; Recount of his conversion Acts 22:16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’ Cornelius Converted Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days. Lydia Converted Acts 16:15 And after she was baptized, and her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she prevailed upon us. Other Churches The Corinthians Acts 18:8 Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized. At Ephesus Acts 19:5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Paul recounts this conversion. Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on his name. Acts 22:16 ASV Baptism explained in Epistles: Puts us in Christ Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Burried with Him. God the Father gave me a waking vision of in the clouds in a glorified body. It was beautiful and I've never felt better BUT it wasn't that big. Looked big enough for hundreds maybe thousands. That means wolves in sheep's clothing are leading the lukewarm to the lake of fire. Dad I know you see this. I'm sorry so many of your kids have gone astray. Matthew 7:14 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Few! I pray you aren't trying to hide things from DAD. The lukewarm will be the worst when their false hope is gone. All have had many chances with a relationship with Father and Brother. Many! There will be no excuses and NO WHERE to hide.

I don't think I would use circumcision as a parallel to show that baptism isn't essential. To be an Israelite it was absolutely required to become one of the children of Israel. Without circumcision you couldn't offer sacrifices, participate in the feasts, worship in the Temple..... Likewise in the first century and beyond you also had to be baptized to be a Christian. There are seven conversions in the Book of Acts, All were baptized. Voddie knows this too but it doesn't fit his Doctrine. Now, you're free to dismiss the teachings of the scriptures if you choose but I wouldn't be presumptuous to dictate my position when it's in contrast to Matthew, Mark, Luke, Paul and the Son of God. You have to decide if you want to follow the doctrine of Voddie & others or these folks: On baptism First What Jesus said: 1. Jesus said. Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Commanded by Christ 2. Baptism is an expression of obedience and faith, not a means of salvation. Scripture is clear time and again that salvation comes only through faith in Christ by God's grace. I'll just acknowledge 1 Peter 3:21 because you wrote a lot, buddy. Peter, taking the verse as a whole, he seems to be saying that the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead saves us. It is this resurrection which Christians publicly express their faith in when being baptized. This is supported by Peter's inclusion of the phrase "which corresponds to this," suggesting a parallel, rather than an identical purpose. When reading scripture, you have to disect it further than face value and ask who, what, where, when, why. I think I know what religious group you're with based on your belief that faith plus works secures your salvation, but thru faith, not works, we are saved. Nothing about my salvation is legalistic. It was instantaneous.

I'm currently dealing with an African Christian on Twitter who says because he is born again he is a sinless individual... And his works are getting him to heaven This is a very difficult back and forth with an African brother that doesn't have a good grasp with English.. But you know trying to armour myself up here so I can help the chap Faith alone Christ alone
The demons believed Jesus was who He said He was but were not obedient to the Word of God. Faith in vain. Jesus says if you love Him you will be obedient. We are saved by faith for obedience. 🙏✝️
I have never heard Voddie preach or teach ANYTHING that even remotely contradicts scripture. The Apostles would have accepted him as being one of their own.

Here's why there are professing Christians that believe that baptism is essential. Great Commission Matt 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Why is it that the most profound messages gets the least view if we all simply read our Bible intently and no just picking at random scripture the we will become disciple and not just believers because even the devil believes and trembles
AMEN...It takes me 3-4 hrs to read daily cuz I look up every word that has a number and an a,b or c next to it. For those words , most always, mean setting different in Hebrew or Greek then what it means in English. Alos why I only read KJV because most other versions, translated, mean something not intended by God.!
The question I have is. I was baptized when I was a young child. I did it because it was expected of me. Please, don't get me wrong, I have always believed in my Lord, Jesus Christ, and through him, I pray to see our God. But never have I felt I was worthy of Jesus' death. And I can not say I never sin. Every day I have to ask God for forgiveness. Now for the question. Since I was so young, should I be baptized again? Sorry, I know I took the long way to my question. Thank you so much for the amazing sermon.
You have to be baptized in order to be saved, but it’s the baptism by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ and this happens when you believe in the gospel. I also would like to poke your brain, should you really ask Christ for forgiveness? Because my question I would ask back to you is how would he forgive you now that you’ve asked? The answer is he already forgave you, what you need to do is believe it, to continue to ask for forgiveness is to ask Christ to die over and over and over, but he died once for sin so just believe it. I agree you should say your sorry and confess etc etc, but not ask for forgiveness
@@BrockJamesStory I do understand what you are saying, but my question is, since I was baptized at such a young age, (and had no idea what it meant) should I be baptized again? Thank you so much for being patient with me.
@@MegaProudtobe no problem, read Roman’s 6, but first read this 1 COR 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Notice how the s is S for Holy Spirit and every translation does it that way. So knowing this you have to be in the body of Christ to be a saved person, and the way you are put into the body of Christ is by the Spirit and this happens when you believe the gospel not when you are water baptized because if it was when you were water baptized then that would imply that water baptism is required for salvation. I’m not gonna try to convince you to not water baptize, what I will say is please do not think it profits you to do so, it doesn’t clean you it doesn’t help you turn from sin, only Christ can do those things.
Sarah was his sister and his wife... What people once got by with was excused, but Acts 17:30 says...what the Law couldn't do...God accepted their Will for Deeds...now, we get the Will and the Deeds because of what Christ did... asendened so the Holy Spirit could come to enable us to live a life that represent Christ. I listen to this pastor and enjoy him for speaking up for TRUES... I agree with how he explained baptism, but I believe we can live free from sin in this present World. The Devil will bring bad thoughts, but we must resist. He gives examples of a lot of OT people, the NT required better. We have more than the OT people 🙏🏽
That's another thing that differs between long time ago and now. we don't make the time, more time, to listen to the letter from Paul or more about Jesus, how to become Christian, how to get to heaven, how to rebuke Satan and we need to make more time.
I finally found this guy! Very few pastors actually know what they are talking about, especially online. Unfortunately where I live, so called Christians do not follow the word of God. It's sad.

I have to correct Dr. Voddie Baucham and I am just 8 minutes into the sermon. "The Law" (The Ten Commandments) was given long AFTER Abraham's death and the two errors noted herein are a result of his ignoring Abraham and the timeline of "The Law". Here are the two errors: (1) Sarah WAS Abraham's half-sister therefore Abraham did not lie about Sarah. He just did not disclose that she was also his wife. (2) Let us remember that it was SARAH who told him to go to Hagar. Sarah, in her attempt to "help" God in the fulfillment of His promise and being past child-bearing age, told Abraham to have the child with Hagar.
True about Sarah yet, Abraham listened to her, (as Adam did Eve) & not God so both sinned. God created women to be man's helper not to tell them what or how to do it. They can have & give an opinion in a marriage yet the man, of the house, has the last word.
Well that's quite a bit confusing help me to understand how is it they won't push a button on the elevator but yet they pick up utensil to eat or merely pick up the food with their hands to eat, the movement of doing that is same movement they'd have to push a button
Please understand we must be baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ in order to be saved. Many don’t realize this and you can still be saved and not know this!

Greetings, brothers and sisters in Christ. I’m so thankful for Brother Bauchum’s ministry and teaching. But it must be said that there is no biblical basis for his teaching that baptism is a symbolic act. This language was invented by Zwingli and propagated over the ages but finds no basis in scripture. Scripturally, baptism is a real act, with real promised outcomes for those who believe. Nowhere does the New Testament refer to the symbolic nature of baptism and everywhere does the New Testament refer to the real nature and act of baptism in the life of every one who repents and believes in Christ. May we all grow in the knowledge of and faithfulness to God’s word. God bless you all.

My authority (my husband) is saying he's not ready but I see your message. How do I appeal to the authority of my husband when I believe God is saying no matter the age baptize that believer!

You disagree with Jesus and Peter. Jesus said. Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. I understand you have the right to your opinion but Christians usually set a priority on what Christ said and what the Apostle Peter said. The Old Law was done away with at the time of the Great Commission and at the time of Peter's sermon on Pentecost. I would be careful dismissing the scriptures so easily. His words will judge us in the last day.
This issue is very miss understood, and had be stumped for many many years. James 2, john 15, and other passages must not be left out in the doctrine of justification. Paul was speaking into a high context arena, his letters today are read and understood in a low context arena. James 2 fills in the gaps, the stuff Paul did not have to address since his audience would have already been aware. Abraham was justified THROUGH faith not BY faith. That is to say Abraham's works came from a place of obedience not self. If Abraham attempted to earn his keep this would have failed, however Abraham obeyed through faith, and his works justified him. There are two works gentlemen in the new testament, the works of the old covenant law, and the Works of Christ. When the scriptures calls the law written on stone as passing away, do not conflate this with Christ's law and our obligation to be absolutely obedient to it. The letter of the law kills, the Spirit of the law produces fruit unto eternal life. Paul says that " to the gentile" he "became as one without THE LAW" but then adds, "not being without law of God however, being under the LAW of Christ." So we see there are two laws at play, therefore two works. One which is dead, the other which is life. Through faith not self effort alone, we love God and neighbor. As 1 John 3 says, sin is lawlessness, and nobody with the Spirit is lawless, paul says in Romans 6 we put to death sin, as we have died to it. In John 15:10 we read that we abide in Christ through keeping His commandments. Christ commands us to be perfect in Matthew, in the present tense sense of the term, from this point forward. For we have been born again, we are new creations, the old man has died, live therefore in the newness of life. He who sews to the flesh will reap destruction, God is not mocked.
@@bfinn6160 the most important doctrine right now in the western church, leading to easy believism or hyper grace garbage, resulting in many losing their salvation and awaiting, "depart from me you doers of iniquity." If we continue in disobedience we will not inherit the kingdom. Belief is inseparable from obedience in the new testament. Belief encompasses faith, works done unto obedience to Christ's commandments, and evangelism. The modern western church has attempted to rid works and evangelism from belief to maintain an intellectual belief alone. James condemns this, Jesus condemns this, Paul condemns this. But people have been trained by reformed theologians to believe obedience is earning ones salvation, as opposed to remaining loyal to Christ.
Awesome brother, very well said. I'm also a minister of the gospel, and If I may also add...we Christians have to "reckon" (consider or regard) ourselves dead "literally," not just by words, but also by "action" for the Lord, we have to present our bodies a living sacrifice 24/7/365, this is a command, not a suggestion otherwise we will automatically fall under the Old Covenant ceremonial laws...Romans 7:1. This process of reckoning ourselves dead doesn't happen overnight, that is why we must be diligent and "workout our salvation with fear and trembling." "...narrow is the way to LIFE, NOT HEAVEN, but to life, and there be FEW who find it..." "...many are called, but few are chosen." So much for once saved always saved. They always bring up the thief at the cross for an excuse, but not knowing that Christianity is NOT a democracy, God picks and chooses who will rule with him, and who doesn't, that doesn't mean that the Lord is going to put everyone else in Hell! Of course not, there is the "ruling" class with glorified bodies beyond belief, and the ruled class that will not have glorified bodies. The thief at the cross and others who are on their deathbeds, given a chance, have their sins forgiven, but do not have the same calling as someone who is well and mobile. Becoming a new creation/borne again takes a lifetime. What we have is a deposit of Christ in us, but that divine seed (deposit) must be nurtured and cultivated by righteousness, holiness, and obedience to the Lord, so with the Lord's help we can overcome "deliberate" sin. Thus the phrase... "...workout your salvation with fear and trembling..." God is killing Adam, so that Christ can totally take over and live....Romand 8:29, the "elect/bride" with due diligence and absolute obedience to the Lord must become just like the "image" of Christ, they MUST have Christ "formed" in them...Galatians 4:19. Thus, that is why in II Peter:1:10 makes it very clear to strive to make our calling and election sure/certain. We are not all in the same boat, Christianity is NOT a democracy, God picks and chooses who will rule with Him and who will not. Remember the mount of transfiguration? The Lord only took 3 out of the 12 apostles with Him. Remember Gideons army? Out of 30K+ people, only 300 were chosen; this typifies the exact picture of the elect bride. Blessings.
@@JoshuaHults Where on earth did you get the idea that reformed theology teaches obedience earns on salvation? The reformers (both past and present) clearly teach that if you try to justify yourself by the works of the law and fall short of even one, then you are guilty of all (clearly spelled out in Galatians 5:4). Works are the outpouring of a grateful, redeemed heart and are present in all believers in Christ to some extent. This is why James wrote that faith without works is dead. Perhaps you did not intend to write that the way you did? God's peace.
That's the exact situation I use to explain that baptism is an outward move merely to show you believe. Which we are not to brag of good doings so.. faith in Christ alone gets you to heaven. It's Spiritual baptism.! Yet, a true baptism is complete emersion of, not a sprinkling of, water! Babies have no need to be baptised. Any child of God not accountable yet, is going to heaven already. God knows this age per child so a church appointing an age is not of God either.

Save by faith alone???, ======= In Apocalypse 20 this is written: [12] And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead wereJUDGED by those things which were written in the books, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. [13] And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and hell gave up their dead that were in them; and THEY WERE JUDGED EVERYONE ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS.
So do jews still do sacrifices? I always wondered that. You never hear about it. And it seems like they don't do sacrifices as they did in the OT if they only do it once a year.
Sarah was actually indeed Abraham’s half sister, therefore he didn’t lie. Even if he did, he was not a habitual liar, therefore its not good to call him a liar. It’s a person who once played baseball is not considered a baseball player. He was not perfect, he sinned, but he was righteous in the eyes of God compare to gentiles. It’s true that faith alone saves people, but faith is not just symbolic, it produces a visible result. E.g. if u claim that u have faith that God can heal u, yet the result is ur still sick then ur faith is dead. When Jesus says that u need to be baptized to enter the kingdom of God, then u suppose to be a new creation, not symbolic. A thief who is born again does NOT remain a thief that everyone can witness, not just symbolic. Thats why Jesus demonstrated miracles with evidence so we can see the result of the faith, again not in a symbolic way.
Jesus was exposing the hypocrisy of the Pharisees when talking about hating or lusting in heart because they always went after sinners. To stop their legalistic ways, He told them that what THEY conceived in their hearts (lust, hatred) was equally damnable if sinners committed the actual act. This should never engage any preacher in a “pre-crime” against anyone for their sins. The apostle Paul said to not take any advantage of those who sin as such. The wisdom of Christ was to destroy the SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS of the Pharisees against sinners.
Jesus gives specific commands to followers... I want to follow Jesus but listening to you talk about society norms versus.. direct commands.. I am starting to question why people chose or why I would choose to preach the word... In a way that's comfortable to me versus what Jesus directly commands us to do? Help anyone thankyou
I am not quite sure about your specific question. I know that no one can come to God at all unless God draws us first, then Jesus will raise us up in the last days John 6:44. After salvation, we are become a new man. Our lives are to be a life of goods works because of the Holy Ghost within us. This is not good works to be saved, but rather good works because we are saved. A person does have a pattern of good works because a true believer is grafted into the Vine (Jesus). He is life and therefore we have life.

You stated "Baptism is an expression of obedience and faith, not a means of salvation. Scripture is clear time and again that salvation comes only through faith in Christ by God's grace." You did a fabulous job wording what you believe without using a single scripture to validate your position. I'll help you a little. Ephesians 2:8-9 [8] For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, [9] not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Most come to an abrupt stop here!) Vs 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. On baptism Jesus still said in Mark 16:16 "[16] Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. " 1. Peter told the people how to be forgiven in and what to do to become a Christian in Acts 2:38 [38] And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 2. Paul tells us how we are in Christ in Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 3. Paul definitely points out that it is symbolic with identifying with Christ's death. Romans 6:3-4 [3] Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? [4] We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. 5. The only scripture you addressed. 1 Peter 3:21 [21] Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Still says it saves us because Jesus commanded it in the Great Commission! *Matthew 28:18-20 ESV [18] And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Notice how I post scriptures and you relate your own dialog? I'm sure you do know what I am, a Christian! You seem to have two fundamental challenges. First, you seem to think that one scripture can make another null and void or has a higher level of importance. Secondly, you place a higher value on what you've heard and learned rather than on the actual words of the inspired writers and the Son of God. Always remember it's best to favor those of inspiration 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. His word leads us to our faith. Romans 10:17 [17] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
Satan tried to get the Galatians Christians to submit to circumcision as seen in Galatians Chapter 1. Paul said NO! Satan tries to get Christians to submit to the Old Testament water baptism of the Jews. Paul is not here. Who will say NO? Who will add Old Testament water baptism to their gospel? All denominations add water baptism top the gospel of I Corinthians 15:1-4.
Tell me plz why there is no teaching on how to reach the kingdom souls are at stake. I mean literally like you literally entered this world. This ain't no game y'all.satan is very tricky
@23:40 I am a big fan of Dr. Baucham but . . . but . . . the thief on the cross could not, and did not, go to paradise when he died. Nobody "goes" anywhere when they die except into a casket. ✴ _31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory…. [...] 46 …the righteous [shall go away] into life eternal._ (Matthew 25: 31 & 46; KJV)
We believe in a thing called soul! The soul of those who believe in Christ goes to paradise. We also believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ that when he comes back, there will be a bodily resurrection of all flesh and the final judgement for all flesh will be announced. Paradise will come down to earth for the new eden, the Messianic Kingdom for eternity!
@@lepsena8089 *"We believe in a thing called soul!"* I believe in a thing called a soul, too. It consists of two things 1.) a body and 2.) the breath of life. (See Gen. 2: 7.) a body + the breath of life = a living soul a body -- the breath of life = a dead soul
@@IsaacNussbaum A body minus the breath of life is a dead body, not a dead soul. The breath of life creates the soul, so therefore, just as the breath of life is eternal, as it comes from God, and so is the soul. The soul in us is immortal. It cannot be killed when we die. Only God can kill the soul. And this is why Jesus said "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
@@lepsena8089 I used to believe as you do. That was what I was taught. But it is not what the Bible teaches. Humans do not have some extra part which is conscious following death. A body plus breath IS a soul, i.e. a life. I encourage you to re-read Genesis 2: 7. ✴ _And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (being)._ (Genesis 2: 7, KJV)
@@IsaacNussbaum I have read it. It's your understanding of the text which is causing you this confusion. Lets look at the Hebrew text. וַיִּ֩יצֶר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֗ם עָפָר֙ מִן־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה וַיִּפַּ֥ח בְּאַפָּ֖יו נִשְׁמַ֣ת חַיִּ֑ים וַיְהִ֥י הָֽאָדָ֖ם לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּֽה׃ "And formed YHWH God man (from) the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and became the man a being living." Genesis 2:7 (Targum Onkelos) "And the Lord God created man, dirt from the ground, and He blew into his nostrils a living soul, and it was for a speaking spirit in man." As can be seen from the hebrew text and the aramaic targum, it is understood by the ancient israelites that the "breath of life" is the soul itself. The soul comes from God and makes the clay model a living being. The clay and the breath of life combined is not the soul. The soul exist in a seperate form from God before it enters the nostrils of the clay model. This is further substantiated by other verses in the bible like Deut 6:5 where the soul and the heart is differentiated. The heart is not the Soul and the soul is not the heart. The Psalm in many verses also tells us that their is life beyond mortal death. Assuming that you are a Christian and a follower of Christ, we must agree that there is clear distinction of the body and soul in the new testament. Apart from Mat 10:28, we can see this theme from the story of the richman and Lazarus, the soul of the richman was tormented in Sheol whereas the soul of Lazarus was with Abraham. We can also see the same theme in the mount of tranfiguration where Moses and Elijah spoke with Jesus. The writings of St. Paul also cements the existence of the soul indepedent of the body. Human beings cannot kill the soul for It is the breath of God. Nothing can kill it except God. Don't be like the sadducees who taught this false doctrine that there is no life after death. When Jesus comes back, our soul that is in paradise will be given new flesh, from the dust of the earth, and we will be a new creation. "Behold, I make all things new."
This is the first time I've heard the doctrine of salvation by Faith in 30 years. Christ Jesus be lifted Up.

EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD BE “SCHOOLED” IN THIS CHAPTER 6 OF ROMANS, THOROUGHLY AND COMPLETELY.

@@johncolquitt3086 baptism, like circumcision, is symbolic. Neither are required for salvation.

I Peter 3:21
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
It's your choice!

Hi. What decision have you taken?
@@ronijoelnathi4154 I still am unsure.
@@MegaProudtobe no problem, read Roman’s 6, but first read this
1 COR 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
AMEN
It's sad.

Abraham could not keep the law because there was no law. That is why it is said "by Faith".

Yes, husband should treat her as equal yet again, he gets last word. If he's abusive..well it's in bible, enjoy reading it.😁👍❤️✝️🙏

Recount of Paul's conversion.
Notice it says it washes away your sins.
Acts 22:16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

Saves us
I Peter 3:21
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Finally, he says baptism is " an Outward sign of an inward change" which is NOWHERE in the scriptures.
If he's a great teacher, then why does he address so little of the verses related to the topic?
You disagree with Jesus and Peter.
Jesus said.
Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Great Commission
Matt 28:18-20
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The first recorded Gospel Sermon:
Acts 2:37-38
Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 5:9 9 And being made aperfect, he became the bauthor of eternal csalvation unto all them that obey him;
You hit the mark.

Lust is still a sin. It gets at the heart of the believer.
@@adddaniel2479 Jesus gives specific commands on how to follow him.. how to follow.. how to preach... 1 John 3:4 what is SIN
You stated "Baptism is an expression of obedience and faith, not a means of salvation. Scripture is clear time and again that salvation comes only through faith in Christ by God's grace."
You did a fabulous job wording what you believe without using a single scripture to validate your position.
I'll help you a little.
Ephesians 2:8-9
[8] For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, [9] not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
(Most come to an abrupt stop here!)
Vs 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
On baptism Jesus still said in
Mark 16:16
"[16] Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. "
1. Peter told the people how to be forgiven in and what to do to become a Christian in
Acts 2:38
[38] And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2. Paul tells us how we are in Christ in Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
3. Paul definitely points out that it is symbolic with identifying with Christ's death. Romans 6:3-4
[3] Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? [4] We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
5. The only scripture you addressed.
1 Peter 3:21
[21] Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Still says it saves us because Jesus commanded it in the Great Commission!
*Matthew 28:18-20 ESV

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Notice how I post scriptures and you relate your own dialog?
I'm sure you do know what I am, a Christian!
You seem to have two fundamental challenges. First, you seem to think that one scripture can make another null and void or has a higher level of importance. Secondly, you place a higher value on what you've heard and learned rather than on the actual words of the inspired writers and the Son of God.
Always remember it's best to favor those of inspiration
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
His word leads us to our faith.
Romans 10:17
[17] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

(See Gen. 2: 7.)
a body + the breath of life = a living soul
a body -- the breath of life = a dead soul
@@IsaacNussbaum A body minus the breath of life is a dead body, not a dead soul. The breath of life creates the soul, so therefore, just as the breath of life is eternal, as it comes from God, and so is the soul. The soul in us is immortal. It cannot be killed when we die. Only God can kill the soul. And this is why Jesus said
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
"And formed YHWH God man (from) the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and became the man a being living."
Genesis 2:7 (Targum Onkelos)
"And the Lord God created man, dirt from the ground, and He blew into his nostrils a living soul, and it was for a speaking spirit in man."
As can be seen from the hebrew text and the aramaic targum, it is understood by the ancient israelites that the "breath of life" is the soul itself.
