    The best OTD price I could find for my 2016 fully loaded Trailhawk was $32,400. I had to drive several hundred miles to pick it up, but it has proved well worth it. And yes, they do come with heated leather seats, not just cloth as stated in this review. These are a serious off-road capable vehicle because of the short wheelbase and sharp turning capabilities. The only thing I can compare it to is the older Suzuki Samurais. The only problem I have really had is that small rocks/pebbles occasionally get stuck in my brake rotor shield, but I can usually get these out in less than one minute with my fingers. These are awesome. You get what you pay for.

    I got mine for 21k used with 9k miles on it with a 7 year/100k mile warranty.... super sweet daily and very capable off road! I've taken mine through some really nasty mud and have climbed some pretty steep hills, it's actually pretty surprising for being completely bone stock.. as it will stay that way. Good vehicle for the wife as well 👍👍

    The 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk SUV has a recurring power seat problem that prevents the use of the 8-way and lumbar functions. The problem causes the driver seat to freeze and lock into a position on the seat floor tracks. This could create a serious problem in the event of an emergency. The dealer service department is clueless on fixing the problem.

    In the end Jeep has understood with the Renegade and the new Compass that there is a market for the brand amongst low profile buyers.

    What is the difference between this and the Renegade latitude?

    • @dennisr7452
      @dennisr7452 5 лет назад +1

      Latitude does not have skid plates, tow hooks, rock mode or low range. It appears low range just stays in first gear, but the gearing on the Trailhawk is different than the Latitude. The Trailhawk is a little higher than the Latitude because of stronger springs. The Trailhawk has a much better front bumper for clearance.

      @kevindavis7198 7 лет назад +3

      thorandmoljnir it's a very similar awd system Subarus r very plain looking and the quality is no better than the jeep

    • @ArnetPhotography
      @ArnetPhotography 7 лет назад +1

      I believe he's talking about customer service, but my subaru lasted for a good 9 years with very little maintenance eventually, gasket issues, timing belt ect cropped up and the car got to expensive to repair, that being said I've heard of Jeeps being great for car people who know how to fix their own vehicle and mod it up but bad for everyone else, don't get me wrong I totally respect Jeep culture for that, but for me I want an AWD vehicle that just works and Subaru generally fills that Niche plus they have more space and are generally better for a short dude like myself. My Civic is in the shop(probably totaled) though from someone rear-ending it and I will say that the Renegade is becoming a very appealing 4x4 alternative vehicle for me. Living in New Mexico dirt roads, and even tough mountain passes in the Northern part of the state are pretty common and we do get snow. My Civic hated dirt roads esp after rains and snow became dangerous to drive on points, so AWD is a requirement period this time around.

    Comparing with a wrangler really ??? if your comparing vehicles they need to be in the same size category so renegade is in compact crossover class it's like comparing a compact car with large family saloon like a BMW I have a renegade it's a great little jeep if you want a wrangler buy a wrangler don't buy a renegade then mone about it's not a wrangler these are 2 totally different vehicles for different types of people renegade is for the person who wants to use it everyday in comfort then head off in to the woods or down to the beach at a weekends but if you want to go rock crawling up mountains every weekend the wranglers for you.

    The renegade is not a Jeep. It looks like a Kia Soul. They canned the Jeep look to keep up with modernization. Jeep should have stayed with the 80's-90's grand Cherokee look for their SUV's & just kept the wrangler. Jeeps are way too expensive now in accordance to their price.

  • @skunkypuppy3445
    @skunkypuppy3445 6 лет назад

    i bought a jeep renegade and kind of regret it. pros are its great in snow and i like how it looks, and gas mileage is about 32 mpg . cons are interior is poorly designed and small. the glove compartment is so tiny it cannot hold the owners manual. i kid you not. within a month of purchase a tire blew. and surprise it does not come with a spare tire, nor a jack, nor a lug nut wrench. nothing but a can of fix a flat. the blown tire was clearly defective but the company has refused to reimburse me for the new tire, despite the fact that VIP sent them the tire so they could see for themselves that it was a defective tire. also the wipers sit in this deep crevice below the hood. so any snow or freezing rain must be dug and chipped out of the crevive since warming the windshield will not affect this area at all. the headlights, even on bright are extremely dim, to the point that i dont feel safe driving it at night. and visability via side and back windows is totally nonexistant. if i had it to do over, i would not have bought this vehicle. the jeep "family" is dead. they now produce shit vehicles with no customer care.

    • @pilgrim7779
      @pilgrim7779 6 лет назад

      That's too bad. I think over time you'll appreciate that Tigershark engine which has proved to be tough as nails on mine. You can adjust your headlights and the wipers on mine are heated because I got the cold weather package (recommended for cold/snowy climates). I had a defective tire on mine as well, but they replaced ASAP free of charge because it was covered under warranty. Your 32 mpg is a little better than mine, but I usually drive around 75 mph.

      You get a full size (not a donut) tire on the trailhawk version like the one they tested.
      Probably about half the cars sold now have fix a flat crap now and not even space for a donut so this is actually somehow a improvement.
