Coordinating for a family photo is fine. People do that all the time. Matching on just a regular day is doing way too much, esp when everyone is an adult.

God bless this mama. All ma's are unique, special and weird. In everything they do. Showing love included. I'm just happy to see that ALL her kids appreciate her. A rarity in today's day and age IMHO.

i actually love the mother's idea. it is fun and their pictures look great because of her idea. I wouldnt change it until they all live on their own but again for family pictures they cooridnate. It is orginal, it is different and it is really beautiful. why people always want to fit in with others do.. your mom has a great idea. I love it

I don't see anything wrong with this family, or any family, dressing alike for photo sessions. We did it at work for special national celebrations (I used to teach), we do it when we have the annual celebration photos of Valentine's Day, we even do it when we go to the red-dress hiking trip. Also, celebrities and royalty dress alike for photo sessions.
There's nothing wrong with uniting the outfit for certain occasions or photo sessions.
Dressing alike is a typical West African thing especially Nigerians. Very typical and it is very lovely to see, honestly.

I mean my family wears the same color scheme for things like church or family events. My husband likes black. So typically he wears something black and then I keep my kids and I in similar colors like blue and red or blue and green. Or neutrals. Plus it honestly makes it easier to remember what we are wearing in case one person got separated and we needed to find them. This isn’t an all the time thing. Just when I can.
