I saw the video of the Dad presenting the dress to his daughter. I tell you that was the sweetest thing I had seen., the look on her face, the surprise was so well worth it. I know, Dad was proud that he could do that for his daughter. I know how I feel when I can do things for my children. It's a great feeling. It makes the child happy and it makes you happy to see your child happy. One thing that Steve said that hit home with me, is that there are a lot of good people in jail, they just made a mistake.
He's a good dad because he cares about his kids' happiness. She is too cute, and it looks like she had fun at her dance.

Awwwww! I'm so glad to see the follow up to that video after seeing it some years ago! The thing that brought me to tears, was when the dad brought t the dress, the young lady immediately hugged her dad and could not let him go BEFORE she took the dress. That showed her greatfulness and appreciation to her father. God Bless all of you. ❤

His daughter is amazing. She is a very humble and caring young lady. Most children these days want you to spend 1 to 2 thousand dollars for a dress. Which I think is ridiculous for school events. Her dress was in reason. Now Steve is giving a dress for up to 1000 dollars. That is why these children nowadays want dresses that they will only wear one time for all these money which causes some financial difficulties because they cannot afford it but because of what we have done to our children we must buy these expensive dresses for prom or any school dance. It is just crazy. In this case this was a reasonable amount and she was so happy and looked beautiful. ❤❤
Straight truth. I also am not spending thousands of dollars on a dress for a high school function. Later in life, I learned about parents who spent thousands on prom experiences, but they did not have a dime to spend when it was time for their child to attend college or some other post high school training. Ask yourself what is important in life. Teach the same to your children when they are growing up. Moreover, keep in mind that most young people admit the prom is the occasion for your children to have their first sexual experiences, particularly the girls. After learning this, I decided thst I would never send anyone to the prom. The only exception would be unless arrangements were made with very strict parameters.
This is a very old episode. More than 10 yrs ago. Still, point valid. She looks stunning, was so appreciative, understands the sacrifice. Very humble.

Congratulations to the father for working hard to do good things for your family. And young lady, you can get several really nice dresses with that thousand dollars and still have enough to buy other things you need and save some of it. Spend it wisely.
The meaningful events is graduation, prom, wedding, parenthood for a parent to do something special for their child. If a father can afford it, well that is wonderful...but not every school event in addition to those said needs that much stuff....schools just do these extra stuff to tack on to parents' spending: junior prom, sophomore and freshman banquet, etc. Its crazy, not every family has a income level of equality.

Great Story! I love my wife and two daughters more than anything in the world. I gave plasma for about a year or so, 2 and 3 times per week to save up for her anniversary wedding band. I did it so I could hide the money, bc we share the bank accounts. It was a complete surprise when I gave her the ring and I could say I love you so much I am willing to bleed for you, literally ❤😂.

It's not an mistake it is just being black and that is all they just want to see the hold sistem is just not true justice because they should look into your history and at least look at your family how it would be with out you because putting someone in prison is really not the answer but putting them in a correction center is the best place ware they can get to see their family and always getting to do better things to really help them become a better person but they don't have to do anything to be come a victim by just being black that is all
