I actually really like my pdmovie LiDAR. It's a compact and fully wireless follow focus system. There's nothing wrong only center auto focus because that issue is easily resolved by manually focusing with the focus knob. Aside from auto focus, it's an excellent wireless follow focus. Personally, it has opened so many new options for my filmaking.
Great video my friend! I think i saw it had a manual focus to autofocus knob/button. Is the switch responsive? Like for example, turning it on to get the focus then turning it off seamlessy to get back to manual focus? Sorry for the long question, im thinking of getting this for my RED
The switch is good but is glitchy. Sometimes if you turn it off, it suddenly turns back on or vice versa. At one point during a shoot, I just removed it and went manual focus. Maybe DJI lidar would be a better option
first you set the distance the min of your lens focus point which ever lens it is then the other two must fit in 3m. So the first hard stop move back until in focus the store the move to the second distance....all lens have different min focal points.

I tell you i got this when they came out months ago> The setup instructions was bad but some videos started to come online ...after that its a quick set up i like but i wan the DJI
I've had my PDMovie Live Air Smart 3 focus controller for about 8 months and it worked well when I was focused on one close-up individual. However recently it lost the calibration data for my camera lens and I've been unable to do a recalibation. For some reason I can't re-enter the calibration mode.
@@VictorLaforteza I was going to contact support but then I saw the DJI Focus Pro Combo and decided to wait for it to become available. I got my $400 worth of value from the PDMOVIE Live Air Smart 3 but now I figure it's time to move on to something that's more capable and user friendly.
The DJI focus is better mainly because you can put it on top of Matt boxes and other piece of your camera. Where is with this piece? You can only have it on that area. That’s the only grape I have. I think this is great if you’re doing indoor stuff, mostly solo but if you have something where you need my boxes, you need other things to go on the camera. It’s not gonna be a good time.
Well put! Yeah this one limits you as to where you place it. Just on top of the lens and you can’t move it. It’s a good start but dji really made a jump in this tech.
Push down on the battery towards the rod and it will slide out... I just figured this out... It's probably in the instructions but yeah, I didn't read them... :/

its a good entry level lidar but limited control and only center focus is the nail in the coffin

You can for a second with the follow focus but the lidar will kick in again after a second. It’s quite troublesome.

Yeah we figured it out after a bit. It’s quite easy once you figure out the actual steps! Ya.. DJI would be good
