cars being tested in the cold the ice the heat shock absorbers ,in the winter for slippery roads they spray salt.in the short run it should t be a problem but wait for few years its gonna be a problem .was nice video shot to look at i went to the coins wash used high pressure mi self.
Perhaps the best video you've ever done. Great theme and story, perfect balance of action shots and voiceover explanation, kept the focus on process (not product) and the "why do this", and an excellent lesson for novices combined with solid reminders for the veterans. You really took it to the next level. Very well done.
Thank you for making this video. Just watched another "auto detailer" using strong acids. Your method was just as effective and safe for metal parts such as magnesium alloys and safe for the environment. Good job!
Something I did notice on your microfiber towels. If you look closely you can see the surface of the towel has begun to ball up rather than have that “plush” look as intended. That’s typically a sign that too much heat has been introduced to the towel and it’s fibers have melted together. For microfiber, you always want to wash on cold or warm and dry on low or tumble dry. This extends the life of the towel substantially and now it won’t lose any efficiency. Just a quick tip from a “microfiber guru” :)
That "POLESTAR BLUE" is the most beautiful color VOLVO has ever put on any of their vehicles! I love that color. If I ever do get a Volvo, it will definitely be a POLESTAR! Even if not a specific POLESTAR model, it will for sure have the POLESTAR BLUE color paint! Special ordered if need be. Another great video GURU! Thanks for all your insight, training, vast experience, and honest opinions and instructions about car detailing. It is much appreciated.
You have the best looking Volvo C30 in the whole world. I can’t imagine anyone making it look better than this. The color, rims, interior. Just perfect💯
That Polestar Blue color is absolutely STUNNING. It has to be one of the best colors Volvo has ever used on their cars. Reminiscent of the French Racing Blue. It just really works on that Volvo. Once again "The Guru" has presented a fine detailing video. Always look forward to something new from The Guru.
Nice to see you back. Since watching your videos I have changed my car washing processes in line with the processes you demonstrate and have seen a noticeable improvement in the condition of my car. One question, what mixture of foam do you use to ensure a concentrated coverage of foam, current I use Pro Kleen and this always seems to be very thin. Interested to hear your comments.
Thanks for another great video! & I really appreciate that your detailing videos are done outside on the street as a lot off us also need to do it that way :-) looking forward for another episode.
As a fellow Volvo C30,S40,V50 owner I can honestly say that you really don't have to worry about rust and corrosion on these cars, surely there are things to worry about , but rust is not one of them, even after being saturated in sea water, they are well protected, and zinc plated 👍
So good!! Great video. Loved the techniques used to clean. Also, for every step, the explanation was provided which serves well for beginners. Thank you!!
FSE is superb. It deals with water spots really well but leaves a lovely finish which is often overlooked. The Gurumobil is looking good. Like the calliper decals👍
My first inclination was that I liked it as well but I also felt like it read a little like GURUF. That last wing reads a little "F-ish". Recommend breaking the top "feather" away like the lower "feathers" from the G and the final U.
Great video as always! Was the car not protected?! Also, have you ever thought of doing a tyre shine video to achieve the different types of finishes? Would love to see as it seems like you put a lot of time into it.
this was amazing I had been watching your videos and wondering how to deal with sea water on a car and here you've made a video already about just that
@@CarCleaningGuru oh dear .. can"t be as bad as Birkenhead!! Since watching your channel my car has never been washed, and waxed so much!! Keep the videos coming really enjoy watching the progress of cleaning and the final results. Very informative too, learnt a lot from you, the UK version of AMMO NYC..
Yet another Awesome vid! Thanks man. One thing. What model are those yokohama tires? They look Awesome. I am looking to get my self a new set for this season, are you happy about yours?
why you advise using a detail spray when drying? i’ve always done it but didn’t know if it was a bit pointless after seeing you not use it? love the videos!
Answer to your Kranzle question, Change oil after the first 50 hours of using the machine. Then after the first oil change you can change it every 1000hrs or once a year. Make sure to replace seals when doing so. 15w40 oil for the K7 series
i havent experienced low water pressure. Even before i changed my oil, the colour turned slightly milky/greyish like you say. its just moister in the housing. It is nothing to be alarmed about. My lives outside in a shed so its likely condensation will take place. The oil in a kranzle doesn't lubricate moving parts, it is used as a cooling system for the motor. Do not be alarmed.
I have only experienced low water pressure when i changed all my fittings to quick release and this was due to them not being tight enough. Check you have no leaks first.
Another satisfying video guru. Serious question though - how often are you washing your car at the moment? I go out, hit a damp patch, get a lorry chuck it’s mother load over the bonnet and it looks like a McFlurrys been sprayed over the thing!
You have probably been asked this loads of times but when I wash my car by the time I get all the way around (about 5-10 mins) the other side has dried to the car and becomes streaky. So I need to wash it again. Sorry of it sounds stupid.

FastPuma You can usually address that by drying the body with a damp microfiber towel, and try not to wash in direct sunlight if you can help it! I take it you live in a hard water area too, it's a PITA!
There's a new product from Karcher that is a kind of spray trolley on wheels at you connect to your pump and roll under the car. I think that would be a fantastic tool in your arsenal.
I know that you are a perfectionist but Is it necessary to clean the rims completely like you did for this kind of job? The sealant/wax on the rims seems to do a pretty decent job...
Another nice vid! Your 'Guru Mobile' inspired me recently when looking for a new car. Now the proud owner of a 61 plate C30 R Design D2 in 'Hello Yellow" :)
Have you used auto finesse aqua coat? I got some the other week. Just wandered what your experience is with spray and rinse sealants? Glad to see your vids again and the guru wagon is looking mint!
One thing that's nice about where you live is that you can take your time and do this type of wash very thoroughly. Where I live in my part of the world on average it's a 100F or warmer most of the months except for maybe three or four and you have such little time to work with, the car dries so fast it makes doing this type of wash very difficult or the use of a deionized water system which cost even more money any suggestions for doing this type of decontamination work in warmer climates?
Great Video, Is that New Brighton? I haven't needed to go to the seaside for my car to be covered in salt due to the road salt from the M53 motorway while we were enduring the beast from the East so I will be following your wash technique this weekend
Glad you're back Guru. When doing your wheels, I noticed you using the bigger barrel brush near the end whereas I use it at the start of washing the wheels. Is there a reason you did it in this order? Thanks and keep the videos coming. Cannot get enough. Regards
It's probably just habit from cleaning really dirty wheels where I do the fronts first to give the rears time to soak in cleaner. People will say doing them last will just pull the dirt out over the freshly cleaned fronts but they're being rinsed off anyway so no biggie.
I keep meaning to ask, what soap dilution ratio do you use in the foam cannon? My Honda 2400PSI doesn't quite get that foamy but I'm doing about 4 ounces
Please help. My bmw 120d steering wheel is constantly greasy looking. My previous cars have never been this bad. I've tried everything now.. Magic sponge is good but it becomes greasy again after a couple days. My hands are always clean when driving. Tried magic sponge plus conditioner and other leather cleaners
Use Autoglym Interior Shampoo, or similar, to wipe down your wheel. The Guru uses Auto Finesse in this video. AG is safe on leather and fabrics. Less is more. Don't use a dressing product- only use a cleaner.
bigkahunaburger cheers ill try that as I have some AG interior cleaner. However meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner works but it goes back pretty fast
Ordered dodo juice supernatural leather cleaner it came today. Supposedly one of the best leather cleaners. And my wheel is stil not completely mat. It's a very uneven finish and my wheel is patchy. I'm beginning to think it's permanently damaged. The cars only 2012 with 60k. Strange
funny how we try to keep our motors in tip top shape but then will go and put them through something like a salt bath lol, but is the real reason for this so we have an excuse to give them another wash? quite possibly i say! good video and keep them coming mate.
I didn't like the gloss black painted finish when I got the car so had them painted factory satin silver which I now also don't like so am now looking to replace them with carbon items.
Insert a memory card...

ALLDAYANTHONY I want to call you a sad git, but I found your comment somewhat informative, therefore I have restrained from stating said criticism.

ilovenitnat thank you! I work in the microfiber industry specifically so I try o spread knowledge when I can

The best car cleaner on RUclips no music and in-depth cleaning
The sound of wheel brush and ambient of the city is relaxing. Seriously.
Hey Guru, nice videos! Would you do a video about how you learned your profession and a little bit about your person?
Maybe for the 100th upload special.
Are you there yet?
Nice to see you back. Since watching your videos I have changed my car washing processes in line with the processes you demonstrate and have seen a noticeable improvement in the condition of my car. Love the blue paint, love the car and BIG love to car cleaning guru.
I am from Austria and I love that voice/accent...sounds great!
The cleanest "dirty" rims I've ever seen keep it up
You have a way with words and a voice like melted butter

My old granny lived on Liscard, i remember traveling many many times along that prom from the ferry dock.....
Thank you for not adding music to this. Very nice work.
Thanks for doing that to your car just to adress the saltwater topic. Great video and great explanation as always. 👍
I don'n know what i like the most, your videos or your voice, i think both.
FSE is superb. It deals with water spots really well but leaves a lovely finish which is often overlooked. The Gurumobil is looking good. Like the calliper decals👍
New "Guru" logo looks great

Yes that's a good idea actually, a different product on each tyre.
Boy oh boy is she looking sharp. As per usual, wonderful work.
you clean like a perfectly programmed robot. you sound like an angel
Brilliant upload! As a sea kayaker, I'm often left with the seawater drips all over the car.
this was amazing I had been watching your videos and wondering how to deal with sea water on a car and here you've made a video already about just that
New Brighton ... changed so much these last few years. A lot nicer than back in the day

A big THANK YOU from all the West Indies Island subscribers!!
Wow, the lengths that you will go to in order to detail a car. Well done!
I drop whatever I'm doing to watch your videos with the c30, even at work. Can't get enough of that car and your videos. You need 1mil subs.
Views > subs imo but yeah, that would be nice!
Don’t keep us waiting this long for the next video 🙏🏻
Tiz a flipping nice motor and great colour!
You sir are a brave man if that was my car I would do that 3x over before I could sleep at night! Keep the videos coming!
Yet another Awesome vid! Thanks man.
One thing. What model are those yokohama tires? They look Awesome. I am looking to get my self a new set for this season, are you happy about yours?
Great video as usual.
Quick question, would you recommend a ceramic coating????
If you never want to wax or polish your car again, yes !
Not true ceramic coating won’t last for ever and they have their own top up coatings
At what pressure do you set the Kranzle? Mine is at 150 bar. Would you recommend a lower pressure or doesn't it really matter?
why you advise using a detail spray when drying? i’ve always done it but didn’t know if it was a bit pointless after seeing you not use it?
love the videos!
Even the detail guardZ are in polestar blue👍
How do you maintain yr Kränzle ?
Volvo is like an U Boat iT Will never rust!!!😋
Answer to your Kranzle question, Change oil after the first 50 hours of using the machine. Then after the first oil change you can change it every 1000hrs or once a year. Make sure to replace seals when doing so. 15w40 oil for the K7 series
Jack Chapman thx, did that still low water pressure and the oil instantly turned greyish..😟
i havent experienced low water pressure.

Just going outside to wash the Alfa, needed some motivation to get the winter road salt off her. Thanks Guru!

Thank you for sharing the links to purchase all the tools used in the video :D
Never tire of watching your informative, beautifully video'd work. Bit shocked to see the car getting doused at the start though. Thanks
Hi Guru, how do you like your gyeon washing mitt, you think is better than The Cyclone from the rag company?
You have probably been asked this loads of times but when I wash my car by the time I get all the way around (about 5-10 mins) the other side has dried to the car and becomes streaky. So I need to wash it again. Sorry of it sounds stupid.
FastPuma
You can usually address that by drying the body with a damp microfiber towel, and try not to wash in direct sunlight if you can help it! I take it you live in a hard water area too, it's a PITA!
Very cool. Could have use a water vinegar acidic mix to break down the salt. Then a throughout wash top to bottom?
I have several microfiber towels and have been clothed due to the drying of the car's structure. How do I clean the microfiber towels?
There's a new product from Karcher that is a kind of spray trolley on wheels at you connect to your pump and roll under the car. I think that would be a fantastic tool in your arsenal.
I want to attach a gopro to one for a video.
I would love to see a vid where someone let's you use your skills on some properly classic metal!
Also... do you have a video on how you wash your cleaning supplies like your microfibers, and tire dressing applicators, etc.?
Simple and effective as usual.
Great vlog guru, thanks for the great content and a quick question if I may, have you ever used the auto finesse duo towels? Cheers nigel.
It looks nice now CCG,it was in a state with the salt on it,how long did it take you to do the car?,great video
please do a video of this car being detailed this summer, and show what products your using every step.
This is going to be my next car. Love your vids. I’ve used some of your ways of cleaning my first car
Good luck finding one!
Car Cleaning Guru I know. Already on the hunt 😂
I know that you are a perfectionist but Is it necessary to clean the rims completely like you did for this kind of job? The sealant/wax on the rims seems to do a pretty decent job...
that has to be the sparkliest example in all of Volvodom. well done
Guru, you're mad but we love you for it! Please don't subject your pride and joy to anything like that again.
I wish you posted more often!!!
So do I but full time RUclips isn't realistic for me at the moment I'm afraid!
Car Cleaning Guru well, I still love and watch every video you post so as long as you keep doing it I’m gonna keep watching. ❤️
A bit of both but the shots looked great , this car looks really nice viewed from an angle.

Is that a different shade to "Mellow Yellow"?
The Guru is back!!! Great vid, brotha! 🌧🚙
Which snowfoam did you use, its soo thick! Im using autofinesse avalanche, and autoglym polar blast, and i can get as thick a layer as that!
Have you used auto finesse aqua coat? I got some the other week. Just wandered what your experience is with spray and rinse sealants? Glad to see your vids again and the guru wagon is looking mint!
Hello, could you please tell me what tire size you use and what tire model you use.
I love your Volvo, I hope in a few months to have one.
Greetings.
They're Yoko Advan AD08R 245/35/19. Good luck with the car!
Alright buddy epic vids what cameras and mics you using much appreciated 😊
I always learn something from you thank you for what you do! Cheers from the colonies!
Can't find one of these Polestar C30 T5s for sale anywhere, how many were made?
why is your voice so soothing

It depends on the wheels, the products being used and the conditions really.
Love the perfectionism 😍
Great work as usual! Your videos are amazing and so relaxing to watch!👍🏻🙌🏻
Really enjoyed the video, was hard watching the Gurumobile getting a salt water shower! oh and btw "Insert a memory card" hahaha
Still upset about the Nissan Figaro!
It's been repaired, albeit "on the cheap".
Wonderful
What snow foam was that you used mate? Thanks. Love the videos 👌🏻👍🏻
How ‘bout cleaning underneath the car to remove the salt?
@11:00
all new cars are protected from below
Haha, what?
CarPassion no they aint
David Richards yes they are
No offense meant here: is it safe to have nice alloys without locking wheel nuts in Liverpool these days?
No offence taken; I'm not from Liverpool ;)
I keep meaning to ask, what soap dilution ratio do you use in the foam cannon? My Honda 2400PSI doesn't quite get that foamy but I'm doing about 4 ounces
Great to see New Brighton!
Man love that Volvo. Such a good color too!
Your car looks great! Love the colour.. It's just different isn't it? Does it drive well?
Great video again 👍
As well as an un-resonated, de-catted car "slammed" on 19-inch wheels realistically can, I suppose!
This is probably the cleanest car in existence.
Love the videos but i just cant get enough of those wheels and try as I might I cant find them anywhere!! what are they??
They're just BBS SR's.
thank you!!
Wash your hands before each drive or wear gloves.

Didn't know V7 could be used for tires...I will try that in the future
funny how we try to keep our motors in tip top shape but then will go and put them through something like a salt bath lol, but is the real reason for this so we have an excuse to give them another wash? quite possibly i say! good video and keep them coming mate.
Mr guru why are the wing mirror's silver did you damage them or did someone knock it off?🤔
I didn't like the gloss black painted finish when I got the car so had them painted factory satin silver which I now also don't like so am now looking to replace them with carbon items.
