@@S_GARR I've had commercial units prior to YT when I was cleaning full time and 99% of them are in extremely noisy locations, in desperate need of renovation and far too expensive. I only clean a couple a month on the front here but the road is an overcrowded unkept dump and the neighbours all create their own dysfunctional noises and smells so can't really complain. At least I'm making things look nicer 🤷♂
I love these "disaster detail" style videos. They're my favourite. So yes definitely worth it. Really enjoy a neglected car being brought back to life - cosmetically at least.
Always worth it, CCG - I prefer to see the more "compromised" details as I think they represent more what us mere mortals are more likely to be doing with our own vehicles. What always limits me is time and seeing the tips and tricks for saving a bit of time and which corners can be safely cut are the real pearls of wisdom I get from these videos. Keep it up - top work!
One of the best turnarounds I've seen for some time, the interior looks as cared for as the exterior was. I think you missed your calling, you'd have been great on the radio.
I can imagine that xD "Dear listeners, now please adjust your bass to the fullest while I play deepest notes available" and dust proceeds to just lift off the dash.
Great transformation. At the risk of being considered insufferably dull, I liked the way the house-mounted camera angle gave us an almost perfect rear view in the reflection of the reflection of the left door mirror.
Nice to see someone else in the detailing space still using Meg's Wash+. Underrated stuff that's sadly been discontinued here in the states, so have to import from the UK for a pretty hard-to-swallow markup.
Great restoration! It's a shame about the two wheel cleaners! A dedicated bleeding cleaner would have likely done a much better job. It's good that you try out a lot of other products though! The halford ceramic coating was pretty good by the look of it. It'd be interesting to see what kind of lifespan it has on the paint.
The ceramic coating foam really does help and they're a great product. I now use Autobrite Direct Ceramic Magiseal religiously after watching CCG do a review on it in one of his previous videos.
Great job, for the wheels I use diluted SWAZ (not sure it’s available in the UK), will shift brake dust like there’s no tomorrow, and without damaging the wheels.
What an awesome detail. Definitely brought the BMW back to life. Paint looks excellent when considering its neglectful owners and age of the vehicle. I liked how you consider using and testing the cheaper detailing products too. There is plenty of people out there that enjoy keeping there car looking nice but don't have large budget's to spend on fancy brand name products all the time. Earned a sub and will be watching all your future video's. 😃
I loved this one as the viewer I got to see a transformation with different products. Brand reviews are good but sometimes seeing them actually doing the job to the extreme is more valuable in my opinion. Top marks for the effort you put into this one 👏👏👏
Nice end results. The real question would be if the X3 would stay looking nice if parked back again by the owner under the trees. I reckon you can go at it again in a few months time 😂
Can’t help it, but I love saving these unloved, neglected and disgusting cars - I know it’s very hard and demanding work, doesn’t pay much (or nothing at all), much harder work than giving a quick clean every week for a well maintained, slightly dusty Ferrari or Lamborghini, but it’s extremely satisfying to see the transformation of a massive t*rd into a shiny, sparkling clean motor… It just makes me happy, simple as that. 🤩 Even after 10+ years, you still are making the best car cleaning videos Joe - King of Kar Kleenin’ 💪🏻👑🤙🏻
It pains me to see nice vehicles like this become unloved. There's still beauty there that's been neglected and then buried. Nice job Guru! I've also had good luck with after wash polymer/ceramic rinse sealants.
As soon as I saw the original shots of the car I said no way he's doing that in one day! Oh and bearing in mind the neglected condition of the exterior was pleasantly surprised to spot good quality rubber on the wheels, I was fully expecting some Taiwanese Ditch Finders instead of Contis.
I would also towel dry vs blow dry. It's neglected paint and a thorough buff will lift off any ingrained dirt leftover from the wash. Love these NPC car carwash videos.
Great cleaning video of a severely neglected car and the owner is indeed a lucky person. It is sad to think that within a few months it will look just like it did when you started. Perhaps this cleaning will change the owner's perspective on what car ownership involves. It. must be getting cold in Northern UK so lucky to have this video available.
Another great video;thanks. On wheel cleaners, none , in my opinion live up to their claims. My car is washed weekly, and still the wheel cleaners don't work without agitation with a brush. I now wash them down first with a truck wash type product and firm brushing. I finish off with the car cleaning product. For their price the wheel cleaners are not up to standard. Cheers.
13:13 is an excellent tongue in cheek comment about the ridiculous insanity of these environmental regulations, let's produce and consume more low quality products instead of having effective products in the first place is the new environmentally friendly future!
Love your videos! Feels like with the time and gear I have, this is the type of clean I can do! Great to see. I do also love the perfectly pristine paint papering too.
The Halfords ceramic snow foam is great. Use is on all my cars altough doesn’t last long, however I’ve topped it up with a ceramic quick detailer after drying the car from the Halfords ceramic foam it gives a much longer protection
Great vid also nice to see you support the local businesses and try their products even though they’re made for the everyday person. Will you be doing the interior?
Wash Plus was a great product. It's a shame Mequiars decided to discontinue it here in the USA. For a really dirty vehicle, it was excellent in a bucket wash, and has a little more "bite" to help power through really heavy dirt, although it does have the ability to leave marring on soft paint if not used properly.
Top job there mate. Love doing disaster details like this myself. Rewards you with so much job satisfaction & a good excuse to use up older products or new untested ones 👌 Results speak for themselves 🚗⭐
I used Halfords Ceramic Sealant spray 4 days ago, I wasn’t too impressed. I rinsed my car with my short trigger rather than my pressure lance, it didn’t really bead the rinse water residue off, which left my towel soaking wet rather than a bit damp. The X3 looked soaking wet too. I usually use Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax ( the blue bottle ) which is a different beast altogether. I wanted to love the Halfords version, I wanted to be able to use my foam lance to apply it ( 3 young children = zero time ) but for the first time I was disappointed. I will try it again, have you any tips I may have possibly have missed……………..? Thanks
Nice work! I need to do my old beast soon:( Idk what you charge for a job like this, but I think if the car was for sale it would be worth about a grand more now:) 👍
As a wheel cleaner maybe u can try some Alu Teufel from germany ..works pretty good for around 10 euro a bottle.. that you can do at least like 4 or more cars with. P.s nice video like always 👍🏼
I would suspect the colour change wonder wheels had gone off due to the fact it sprayed on purple to begin with. I’ve had wheel cleaning products go off in a similar manner.
Great video, that wonder wheels iv tried twice and both times found it absolutely rubbish, only used it when iv run out of Bilt hamber Korrosol, that turns red soon as it hits the wheels and really cleans, regarding the wonder wheels I made a complaint about how poor it is but never got a reply.
Buy yourself some Bilt-Hamber wheel cleaner and never look back. Never met a wheel it couldn't clean to my satisfaction and never bothered buying anything else afterwards. Like most of their products, it's the bee's knees. Fantastic job on the X3, I know what cars that bad are like to try and revive. You must've been sore the following day...
Hi just a quick one as a weekend warrior was wondering when washing car with either wash and wax or a ceramic coating product is it best to use hot or cold water 🤔 thanks.

Hello Joe. You are the only car cleaning RUclipsr that I have remained with, for several years. Love your dialogue. Keep it up. Paul
Brilliant transformation, hope the BMW owner is grateful and gets you to do a paid regular detail
Nice to see someone else in the detailing space still using Meg's Wash+. Underrated stuff that's sadly been discontinued here in the states, so have to import from the UK for a pretty hard-to-swallow markup.
Must admit it gives me hope for my car when I see these rescues..

The first one is supposed to be a dedicated active cleaner! The ceramic foam id say 2 months in good conditions 1 month for harsh.
The ceramic coating foam really does help and they're a great product. I now use Autobrite Direct Ceramic Magiseal religiously after watching CCG do a review on it in one of his previous videos.

The scuff "repair" made such a difference. A very fun video 😁
Great vid. You’re lucky to have understanding neighbours that don’t mind you putting water spots on their cars.
The interior looks as equally neglected as the exterior.
Great Job bringing the exterior back.
Nice work! love how you balance the products for the car context and get the most of it!
I can never understand why people let their car get in this state. Another superb job fella.👌🏻

6:31 - Sausage finger type has so much truth. Think Richard Hill detailing a car, that’s what I feel like.
Great job and temporary restoration, Joe. Thanks for the entertainment.

idk why but I could listen to this guy for hours
Do the interior next! The outside caame up great
The Stan Boardman of detailing. Great fun
As much as I like the info you give us about detailing, seeing a disaster car turned into a concourse is much more interesting

That Honda looks pretty good in the background.

Definitely worth it mate, just treat myself to a kranzle setup in the garage. It’s in a different class. Thanks for the vids, so satisfying 👍
My detailing brother, what you did there is called magic! Awesome job!
Every car every solution ✌️ Tanks four u video ! 😎🇺🇸✌️
Lovely job there Joe, good to see another video off you.

I would suspect the colour change wonder wheels had gone off due to the fact it sprayed on purple to begin with. I’ve had wheel cleaning products go off in a similar manner.
Let’s hope so, wouldn’t like to think they’re colouring it to trick people into thinking it’s more potent than it is.
Perfect transformation!
What are your thoughts on clay bar use ? Worth it ? Too much trouble?
They should probably sell their X3 ASAP, cause it will never look this good again 😂

Does it ever cause issues with your neighbours, as your out there all the time with the pressure washer?
Nah I’m not out there all the time, maybe twice a month plus there’s more than enough commotion coming from elsewhere.
Cracking job, love to see these type of videos
6:39 Godzilla screaming in the background
Wowzer result here. Can I ask... given more time what product/technique would you use to get that ground in muck off the wheels?
Top work and video.👍👍👍 These kind of videos are definitely my favourite.👍👍👍

what about using clay towel instead of microfiber mitt to have a bit more bite ?
Great results as always, but those tyres look very aged and dry rotted!
All I could think was that's bidston halfords.
LoL, that was a candidate for some Lorry Wash TFR........
Great job Guru 👏🏻👏🏻
Hi just a quick one as a weekend warrior was wondering when washing car with either wash and wax or a ceramic coating product is it best to use hot or cold water 🤔 thanks.
Hot will clean a bit more effectively but isn't essential as most shampoos are formulated to work well enough with cold water.
Fantastic clean , if you would have used better chemicals them wheels would have cleaned up better, overall fantastic job.
Nice work, as always. Those scratches repaired was nicelu done.
