Love the video! I'm building a custom utb18 from all aftermarket parts and using this carbon fiber bettle frame. I'm not a fan of stock servos or brushed motors and I wanted rear steer. So building one from scratch will end up being cheaper than buying the rtr utb18 and replacing everything but the front axle housing. This is a great size to throw in the jeep while hitting off road trails and playing with it when we stop and get out.
Heck yeah! Definitely a great size to take along anywhere. I’m kinda thinking this will be my larger truck that I take on vacations etc with me from now on. Keep me updated on your build!
Nice review. I love the orange body on mine but might swap the chassis later. I just installed the Treal brass portal covers and overdrive portal gears on mine today. They went on easily but its raining here so I can't test it yet. Some heavier wheels really does help it crawl better.
Hey Matt like what you're doing with the Utb18. Could you do a video on where you like your settings in the furitek app? What are your thoughts, how do you like your throttle curve, punch, low speed and so on? Thanks!
Yeah it definitely looks like an oil spot lol. I had never seen it offered on the chassis’s until Furitek asked me what color I wanted on the fcx24 chassis and I asked them if they could do an anodized titanium. Now it seems like a lot of people are offering it. I may have to pick it up for a custom build at some point!
@2FM RC I saw multiple reviews on the Zooskay 35Kg PRO. So i figured it would be more than enough for this little rig. It's actually pretty darn good. I can run it crawling. But when I tested with the quick left right left it definitely didn't like it.
@@hyperc5249 yeah those are solid servos. Kinda surprised it’s causing issues also. Mine was the same way on the bench. It was fine while steering slow but if you flick the steering it would shut down. It got worse as I was crawling.
@@2fmrc Yeup, heard that too. I was also hearing that the NL3 compound the grippers now come in was just too soft. Trench kings are supposed to be similar to swamp kings so hopefully the performance is too. I also prefer the look of the trench kings. Waiting for your thoughts and review! Keep up the solid work!
Lol well to be fair I haven’t spent any money on this one yet. That’s why I wanted to make sure these upgrades made me like it enough to put some money into it. I really never drove it until the last wk or two. If I could get some companies to send over tires to test on it I’d be set 😆 The stock tires actually grip pretty good. They just need some foams!
There’s never really any comps in my area but I crawl with quite a few other people and usually pull any line that anyone else can pull with no probs. I’m not much on comps though honestly. Got burnt out on grown men crying when racing so I crawl to have fun & not listen to people cry about what class this truck should be in or if that tire should be allowed blah blah blah lol. I usually get performance and don’t worry about what comp class something should fit in because I really just don’t care. I just want it to run good!
Love the love of the Capra! That Bettle is awesome and nicely priced.

Ohhh I like the carbon fiber!
I feel the same way when I see the titanium lol
I am not sold on this yet. I am hoping that it has potential to become a monster truck rtr especially with this Furitek stuff.

@@2fmrc im definitely gonna pick one up, price to performance is good.
Its growin on me! Cheers matt nice job
Can you do some videos with your scx24 c10s
I need to pick up another c10. I’ve modded all of mine into other trucks now lol
Killer spot! Same issues with servo.
What servo are you running?

You order the new LGRP Trench Kings? Hoping the compound isnt like the Trail Kings lol.
Yeah I did. I also hear the grippers are a better compound than the ones I bought on release. I should’ve grabbed another set of those but didn’t.

Do you think the Bettle chassis on a capra platform will fit in a mini comp class ?
I had a thought, would a WPL body fit on the chassis you were formerly using?
$125 US for the titanium version here in Australia, dear as poison, but im still getting one !
That thing is very very cool
Good job buddy great video
I'm going to be doing another build and don't know what tire to go with in your opinion what your favorite tires and wheels of all time?
When do you suppose that body is going to be out for us peasants
All that money. N stock axial junk tires. gesus

Just curious ,do you go crawling competitions and apply all these upgrades and see if they work?

@@2fmrc lol I thinking getting scx10 pro chassis what do you think? Is it worth $500? Or go cheaper on Rock Pirate chassis..
