Can you book those tickets online? I am in Batam now and want to go back to Johor when my 30day visa expires.
I think so, but there’s plenty of ferries leaving every day and about four different ferry operators in one place. I just went down to a money exchange ( bottom floor of Grand Batam mall by the ATMs ) and bought a ferry ticket. It’s an open ticket, you can leave any day you want, has multiple operators, you just turn up the day you want to leave and head to a ferry operator and then exchange it for a ticket that day you just need to pay port tax though on top of that, but it’s not much. 🫡
@@HiddenHammock awesome! Thank you. I plan on leaving when my visa expires as Batam seems to be the place where old whores go to die. It’s like a retirement community for ex hookers. Kind of boring as well. I want to go back to Malaysia but not have to stop in Singapore. Thanks you the guidance. I think you meant “Mega mall Batam center”. The grand Batam mall is in the center of the city and not to be confused with grand one Batam mall.
@@jerrymylove1754 I was staying next to Grand Batam Mall (Baloi) that’s where I bought the ticket, but I’m sure you can go to any of those money exchange places. I’m currently in Kuala Lumpur now and that’s how I avoided Singapore. I went straight to Johor Bahru , happy travels and keep following along🫡

We do not charge transaction for atm. You must be joking right. What kind of atm card are you using?
No not joking, I use a Wise Visa Card, I will say that most of the machines I found in Malaysia do not charge me🙏
If u withdraw money from foreign bank govt charged you 4 ringgit, thats normal, i actually used HSBC local bank they still charged me 4 ringgit

I use wise card in thailand to withdraw cash and got charged for 220 Bhat.
