I just realized the room next to the kitchen is so small for your future maid. Maybe you can convert it to be a storage room for your foods, like a shelf for spices, high rack to put dry groceries or maybe put a chiller for vegetable storage & freezer inside too. You can do a lot of things since you have a big storage. Even you can have wet & dry kitchen too. Focus to have a wet kitchen smaller since you don't have headache to clean up in future. Advice from a housewife 😂😂😂
Thanks. This is so helpful. And your enthusiasm and encouragement is really gearing me up to make changes in my life. Feels like I’ve been divinely guided lately. May you and your family be happy and blessed in this new lifestyle.
When u mentioned "first" house, I kinda smile coz you are right..Malaysians usually have many houses. Not just houses, we like to buy many cars as well..an average family will usually have at least 4 cars.
congratulation Madam Saira, can't wait to see the renovation journey of your new house.. hopefully soon you make a content of the journey from zero to fully occupied by you and your family
MashAllah sister alhamdoulliah. The only downside are all those huge windows, there's probably double glazed. The issue is curtains, too much light, the maintenance of having them cleaned. Also the door handles if they get broken it's a hassle. InshAllah all the best for the future.
Ma sha Allah, amazing woman, Mubarak inshallah your new property and Blessed new beginning. I pray that my daughter can be strong and smart like you. Hoping that one day I can take the same step as you did from Australia. You gave me hope and encouragement to do so. Your brother and new subscriber.
Malaysia house usually has tap outside the house for gardening and cleaning purposes. The small room near the kitchen usually for house maid or you can turn it into a pantry.
It looks like a great lifestyle. More of an outdoor life. Good for so many reasons . Love watching your videos and seeing how people live in Malaysia 👍
yeah. will be become expensive for local and majority can afford house with the size garden shed in KL. with the goverment relaxing a ceiling price for foreigner to buy a house in malaysia, the housing price for local with this kind of house will overshoot in matter of time. majority local still staying in the pigeon box especially in KL. so annoying. that is why a lot of empty unit it this area. the house is overprice.
Thanks for all of the videos, Saira. They're so informative. Great! You've convinced me in 1 minute. I'm leaving London and coming to Malaysia. Thanks, Kamal
So worried about all the personal info you're sharing online sister 😣 Tens and thousands of ppl know where you live, can approximate your exact house location, know your car plate number... 😬 Be very careful even if your house area has lots of security. Scams are really high now in Malaysia and you hv an older family member whom statistically is more likely to be victims of scammers, your mom can easily get targetted... Please be vigilant ❤ Happy for you though!
Yup your video show good things but showing everything is not a good idea. M'sia is not utopia, there's problems here too. It's not for everyone to move to this country. Respect of the cultures is very important here and in east Asia.
Don’t worry about scams. We in the west are used to it and Malaysian are terrible at scamming. I see Malaysians fall for scams so fast that I have cried 😢. But westerners are not easy to scam.
Allahuma barik, gorgeous property. I want to leave the UK, but also love the UK and the things i'm familiar with. Looks like i'll have to stick to taking holidays.

Have watched a few of your videos so far and Malaysia is growing on me so much so that I’ve added it to my shortlist of countries to checkout for when I do finally move abroad.
Hello Saira, your an inspiration and EVERYTHING YOU say about the culture and working conditions in the UK are spot on! Many congratulations on your new home. There is no such ideal place anywhere is this world ...however, may your time in your house be filled with memories and peace! Wishing you and your family all the best .... it is clearly obvious that you being in another country has done you the world of good ...
No wonder you are excited so would I be it's like Paradise, quiet, safe with pool and gym and golf course, and the price is amazing compared to the UK, that house alone in the UK would be probably 1 million pounds if not more in London....good luck with everything really enjoying seeing what life is like in other countries
May Allah swt grant you many happy years inshallah plus you have the best gift with you your mum your intention is good Allah will put barakah inshallah
A couple of observations about the differences between the houses in the UK and those I've seen in these videos. The front door opens straight into the lounge. There isn't a porch and hallway that leads into the lounge and staircase. The porch is where your outside shoes are kept and where you'd hang jackets and coats. Not sure where Malaysians keep their shoes and outer wear. I know in one video she has said that the Malaysians keep their shoes outside. That'll take some getting used to for UK people. There isn't much of a garden. In England we like to sit in our gardens especially during the long summer days. These houses will have a yard but there doesn't appear to be any outside space to hang out in. There is no garage just a 'car port'. We usually store things in our garages rather than use them to keep our cars. So if you have bicycles, golf clubs, empty suitcases etc. they'll be kept in the garage. Not sure where you'd keep these things given the design of these houses. There is no utility room that I can see. We'd keep the washing machine and dryer in the utility and in many cases additional groceries and household supplies. I am assuming the washing machine and dryer are in the kitchen. But there isn't a lot of storage space for groceries and household stuff such as washing up powder, bleach etc. Is there a cap on the extent to which the monthly charges for the gated community can be increased? I'd have a concern that a private enterprise can decide on the monthly charge. What if they decide to increase the charges significantly to increase their profits? This could become a potential issue in the future for the homeowners. Probably a question for Saira via the WhatsApp number but can someone in the UK invest in a property without actually living in Malaysia? It appears to be a stable country and might be suitable for investment. You can then either rent out or visit regularly. If booked in advance flights can be reasonable in price for economy tickets.
1. this is bare unit, usually owner will renovate it 2. malaysia house dont hv garage, just porch to park the car 3. increase in monthly payment will go thru agm, meaning owner will hv to vote the resolution to increase or decrease 4. the residence will hv a joint management committee or jmb who are the owners voted among themselves to make decision. jmb hv some power by law. and usually jmb will appoint property management company for day to day management. there is no private enterprise. agm will be held every year, the account will be audited and tabled to everyone
Houses are not an investment in Malaysia and their poor construction makes them a liability. Even if they were you may not be able to remove money from the country is you choose any investment there. Unlike most countries in the region you can own property and you can even buy if you're not a resident. Until the governments clamped down there was huge Chinese investment in Malaysian property. Malaysia is a deeply racist country with 43% of it's citizens unable to buy certain properties and those restrictions apply to all foreigners. Shoes go outside the front door under the car port. Malaysia is hot and humid so outerwear is limited and a large umbrella is probably all you need most of the time. Did you not see the large storage area under the stairs? Few Malaysians are interested in gardens. Anything green attracts insects that invariably bite or sting and trees are hated because they drop leaves all year round. Plots of land are generally built up to the maximum possible and this causes problems with flooding when the rain is heavy. This and all other houses around will have multiple ACU units that will be running so sitting in the garden will be noisy and as you see there will be no breeze due to being so built up. This is life in Malaysia, even if you can afford this which of course most locals can't. This house is a bare shell and this is how houses are sold there. You divide it as your see fit but there is enough room for two kitchens which is quite normal and in fact the area outside the back door would be suitable for messy prep and frying. In an open plan house, frying is the last thing you'd do inside. I don't see any storage issues as the ceilings are tall and allow more than enough space for suitcases in fitted wardrobes. The house may appear to be cheap but there could easily be another £100k to get it to a good standard and none of that will add to the value of the property. In terms of charges, as someone else has said, it's managed by residents but that creates a lot of problems and on properties of this value most will only want to spend the bare minimum. The result of this is invariably everything deteriorates. I would say for certain that in ten years, this development will look totally different and not in terms of improvement. Malaysia is not a stable country and has deep racial issues that affect pretty much everything. It also has a weak, unelected government and as a coalition has allowed religious nutcases into power. Make no mistake, Malaysia is sinking into the dark depths of ultra conservative Islam. These problems are getting progressively worse and something will kick off,in fact, such an event is overdue. Malaysia is suffering a massive brain drain for these reasons and no longer has the cash reserves it once had. It's also taken on significant Chinese debt. The last time Malaysia's finances were under threat the government introduced strict currency controls that effectively froze all foreign investments for an extended period. You mention renting and that's a problem because non resident landlords only want profit. You may vet everyone carefully but others will seek to maximise income and many properties become HMOs with all the problems that entails. This woman is clearly very naive and has a lot of learning to do.

Next step is renovating and furnishing the house. Just some tips on looking for contractors. You can look around the neighbourhood and ask houseowners who’ve done renovations on the contractors they’d recommend. Another way is to engage an interior design firm that has a panel of contractors. There’re pros and cons and obviously the latter can be more expensive. In any case get a few quotations.
As a malaysian residence in London thats what im always mentioning about that an average house isLondon costs more than 500K, with that money in Malaysia you can get two semi and link them together with carpark and and garden too. Ridiculous Underrated Real Estate and thats Malaysia,
The value of houses in the UK increases so is an investment. The opposite is true in Malaysia where construction standards are poor and consumer protection near to non existent. For a foreigner to put money into Malaysia is madness because of the control and previous actions of the government.

Nice house. Good price. Wet kitchen. Dry kitchen. Maid's room. Maid's toilet. Guest toilet. Big landing is mini seating or study or tv are etc. You need to figure out where you are going to put your ourdoor a/c compressor (noisy). I do not recommend doing a lap pool or any kind of swimming pool on your own property. You may have utilities pipe running there any the maintainance is not worth it. But doing a reflective pool may be nice.

Allahumma barik Wishing you to be happy with your loved ones in this house. May Allah bless you all ameen I'm also European and I live in MY for 5 years now. We are leaving the condo now. Kinda fed up of gated community as it's like living in a bubble. Malaysia is already a country with low crime rate. I can walk around in a sleepless night without being afraid and even my husband has no problem as the area is safe. We are moving now to a small Muslim neighborhood where kids can also play literally on the street and people know each other. We want a normal life and not something privileged and kinda isolated from real life
@koubadz4253 I don't know where you live or plan to live in Malaysia. I'm in Penang. We are currently moving from a condo to a normal local neighborhood with excately what you're describing. Found it on FB marketplace after searching for weeks on several platforms like also Mudah. You can search on your own on this platforms or let a real estate agent search for you, even if you plan to rent. If you're already in Malaysia it's easier as you can so drive around. Some houses that are available have a sign with number. You could also then speak to some locals (from the masjid for example) who can recommend you an area. I'm not really an expert. We just kept searching. But living in a Chinese neighborhood was also not bad. We just wanted to get out of a condo with the gate etc Its so safe here that we don't need that bubble. Not sure if this was really helpful. In sha we you will find a good place here for you and your family
@koubadz4253 the mayority here are Chinese in Penang. There are also states with more Muslims. I personally like Penang. I'll ask my husband in the morning which areas he would recommend in sha Allah. He knows the Island so much better than me. My experience is that usually there's a masjid nearby, or at least public prayer room. We are moving from Air Itam on the Island closer to the airport. But mainland is also not bad and even cheaper.

Malaysia is best country to invest good decision
Sister congratulations for buying your first house.
Thank you so much 😊
When u mentioned "first" house, I kinda smile coz you are right..Malaysians usually have many houses.

Congrats Sister. I'm getting more and more interested, as I watch your videos. I think I need to stop 😲
Myself 😂😂 it's lovely just started yesterday and hooked.
Mashallah looks amazing I am loving your whole journey may Allah fill it with blessings and success all the way ameen 💙
Thank you! You too!
Malaysia house usually has tap outside the house for gardening and cleaning purposes. The small room near the kitchen usually for house maid or you can turn it into a pantry.
Mashallah tabarakallah sister amazing well done
Amazing content keep it up
Thank you so much 😊
It looks like a great lifestyle. More of an outdoor life. Good for so many reasons . Love watching your videos and seeing how people live in Malaysia 👍
Houses in Malacca are generally cheaper than in KL, Penang and JB but comparing it with UK with that kind of price you can only get a garden shed😮
Selangor semi - detached at least 1.9m ringgit now
yeah. will be become expensive for local and majority can afford house with the size garden shed in KL. with the goverment relaxing a ceiling price for foreigner to buy a house in malaysia, the housing price for local with this kind of house will overshoot in matter of time. majority local still staying in the pigeon box especially in KL. so annoying. that is why a lot of empty unit it this area. the house is overprice.
Banks prefer financing developer properties than the secondary market
So expensive lah... 😂
I love this viewing... a little glimpse of what a Muslim life could be in Malaysia. Insya Allah one day we can make a journey there too.
Thanks for all of the videos, Saira. They're so informative. Great! You've convinced me in 1 minute. I'm leaving London and coming to Malaysia.
Thanks,
Kamal
this area is not too far and not too near to the city center either, a good choice of location 👍
A thoughtful gesture
Fear is for the weak lol keep it to yourself kids 😂
So many scammers here in Malaysia and they're so active be alert 24/7.
MashAllah Allahumabarik. May Allah swt bless it for you and all your family.
Awwww congratulations Saira! What a beautiful new home! Please remember to walk us through it again once it’s all done up. I’m sure it’ll be even more beautiful 😍
Really enjoying these vlogs of your move to Malaysia 🇲🇾. I wish I was your family . A dream to leave UK 🇬🇧 would just be amazing. It’s nice to live this fantasy through you and your family. Masha Allah your Mother is so sweet. May Allah always bless you all , keep you safe , keep you happy so you can all live your best life . Ameen 🤲🏼 I’m so excited for you all sister Saira . Stay blessed during this Ramadan and look forward to keep seeing how you are all living , and adjusting and seeing your new home come together. Thankyou for all you’re sharing 🙏🏼 Pool & gym & praying area wow 🤩❤
Jazakallah for your beautiful words
18:40 Alhamdulillah, that was The Best feel!!
Have watched a few of your videos so far and Malaysia is growing on me so much so that I’ve added it to my shortlist of countries to checkout for when I do finally move abroad.
Congratulations very nice and bright house. in London you need couple millions fr a house like this. Take care
Definitely more. That's what makes me sick.
1. this is bare unit, usually owner will renovate it
2. malaysia house dont hv garage, just porch to park the car
3. increase in monthly payment will go thru agm, meaning owner will hv to vote the resolution to increase or decrease
4. the residence will hv a joint management committee or jmb who are the owners voted among themselves to make decision. jmb hv some power by law. and usually jmb will appoint property management company for day to day management. there is no private enterprise. agm will be held every year, the account will be audited and tabled to everyone

Your "Alhamdulillah" (x5) put a smile on my face 😊😊. Very informative sister, thank you.
Brilliant your Mom doesnt have to step over anything to enter the shower. Well done!
As a malaysian residence in London thats what im always mentioning about that an average house isLondon costs more than 500K, with that money in Malaysia you can get two semi and link them together with carpark and and garden too. Ridiculous Underrated Real Estate and thats Malaysia,
Salaries are much higher in London and btw London is cheap compared to Singapore
The value of houses in the UK increases so is an investment. The opposite is true in Malaysia where construction standards are poor and consumer protection near to non existent. For a foreigner to put money into Malaysia is madness because of the control and previous actions of the government.
@@byteme9718 bro you aint real estate investor, dont act like you know it, UK property increasing dont mean it actually value, it value because of its land not the residential property itself, now people are talking about getting a place to live, of course buying a house in KL is way worth than London, mate whether TRX or PNB 118 resident apartment have a higher growth than any in London, so stop those funny statements. Listen £500K in UK you only can get a second hand crap, in KL you can get one in city centre, dont talk about properties or real estate investment with me when you dont have any research… UK house are bunch of wood and empty wall, and malaysia built with concrete and you are here telling me malaysia construction is shit ? Helllo bro UK house bunch of rat hole.

Congrats on your new house. Malaysia is a beautiful place with the nicest people.
Saira have watched several of your Y tube blogs they are so informative and have been impressed with your own impulsive nature of the move . I moved to Cape Town in the early 80s with no Internet etc . I think Malaysia offers a fulfilling lifestyle for many and look forward to see how you progress good luck to you and your family

I do not recommend doing a lap pool or any kind of swimming pool on your own property. You may have utilities pipe running there any the maintainance is not worth it. But doing a reflective pool may be nice.
I'm not laughing at Saira. I'm just laughing because I imagined her saying this to someone in the UK and looking at her facial expression and the potential buyers in the UK thinking they getting a fully fitted kitchen! Lol 😆 3:24

I'm also European and I live in MY for 5 years now.
We just wanted to get out of a condo with the gate etc
Its so safe here that we don't need that bubble.
But mainland is also not bad and even cheaper.
bapak best..167k pound pun da rm 1juta ringgit..kan best kalau rm160k pun dapat rumah mcmtu..

Im seriously considering now to come too. If i want a nice decent place in the same area but just a one or two bedroom is enough. How much would that be monthly? Rent and sale.
