Growing fears of looming gas shortage in SA

The Industrial Gas Users Association is appealing to Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe to act decisively to avert a gas shortage in South Africa. The plea comes after SASOL announced that it would stop supplying gas to SA in 2026. There are fears the decision will affect manufacturing the most, and could affect over 70 000 people employed in the sector.
