I’m sorry John, I’m a personal trainer. Im 32 now and I’ve seen it all. This guy was not natural. Admittedly he was never doing lots of roids, but he was definitely doing it on occasions. Remember, the competitions he entered weren’t drug tested. I know it’s hard information to take in because he’s an idol of yours. I have amongst the best natural genetics of the people I’ve met and I could never look like Frank. I really do feel sorry for people because we are constantly deceived by others. Remember Frank had a reputation to uphold, perhaps he once told his wife etc that he’s natural and now has to keep to that story. Take care

Why did they call him that ?
@@smart1sf he had a bachelors degree in chemistry and also in mathematics. + Major in psychology
@@smart1sf, because his education and training taught him to write everything down, taking meticulous notes. He recorded what worked for him, & what didn't.
Your answers are valid in the lala land. In the real world his nickname reflected his impeccable knowledge of steroids and how to use the exactly right amount.
@@wildanS Which he could do because of his background.
THE BEST THEN AND NOW!!! FRANK ZANE!!! All my friends used to ask "If we could be any one in bodybuilding...who would you be?' FRANK ZANE was always the answer! So great to see you still looking and sounding and BEING.....FRANK ZANE!!! I Love Ya SIFU!!!
Frank it was you who inspired me to stay steroid free, you had such a great attitude, I read one of your books about how you trained and lived, it was what I wanted to do. I just wanted to be a better me, and I lost that mind set after raising 3 children sent them through school. Now I'm back on track, eating right and working out. Good Luck in this part of your life and journey with your search to find that you were created by a much higher power after him, who loves you. Life is always better when you are healthy and happy.
where/when has he admitted to never using steroids ?
Take care
“Go where you’re appreciated.”
Mr. Zane, that was really neat how you said we need to create a vacuum in our mind as opposed to doing the vacuum pose with our body. I get it. Thank you again.
The fitness blues, that's awesome!
"There's no such thing
as being there is only becoming."
And there is, ladies and gentleman, man with the VISION.
And with this attitude, I think, there is no such thing as failure.
A gentle man a bodybuilding legend and a deep thinker...what I would do to see people like that in the gym people now adays have no class hats off to you Frank
Good interview, giving me a first real look of Frank Zane. I remember reading of him as a teenager, a body builder alongside the likes of Arnold S, but separated from the other body builders by his reputation as a competitor who didn't rely on steroids...good to see he is still taking good care of himself and others.
Don't kid yourself, they all used steroids.
You gotta love Frank, classy and nice guy, keeping it simple.
Frank is the Michelangelo of bodybuilding. Thanks for the advise and encouragement Frank.
Thank you! I learned so much by the halfway mark... There is no Present... The way this man lays down the Wisdom is as unique as he is. He speaks volumes and creates epiphanies like ripples in a pond. God Bless both of you!
gracias por la entrevista con el señor Zane
I grew up during that golden era of bodybuilding and of all the great physiques from that era Frank Zanes would be the one I'd want.
I love Frank. Thank you, Teacher.
I’ve watched this 2 times through now. So many nuggets of wisdom in here preserved on video for all of us!
King of aesthetics
Frank has figured it out...continues to change and be an utmost source for fitness, health, and happiness...RIGHT ON FRANK
Love Frank Zane. Knowledgeable, Kind, Motivated. The best.
saved this in my "life and philosophy" folder instead of "fitness".. thanks DY
Absolutely 👍
classic.....aesthetic best.....when I see these pumped up guys of today I shake my head.... that hands over head pose frank performed has never been bettered !.....he always looked so big,yet barely passed 14 stone🤔....legend!
What's 14 stone?
Frank Zane, The Chemist: Even if he utters a word, I need to take notes ! One of the great legends of the sport. This is one of the best interviews with Zane I've seen, he reveals everything.
Thank you for your kind words. Have you seen/heard any of the other Escape Your Limits podcast episodes? itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/escape-your-limits/id1321349827?mt=2
Yeah sure..thanks ! To give you an honest feedback, your interviewing skills look professional & you give time & space for the person to express himself, pls continue the same in the future.
Can you try to meet up with other legends like Lou ferrigno, Dickerson, Bannout & even others in a similar field..
We'd love to! Thank you for your feedback, it's much appreciated and makes all the hard work that goes into these interviews worth it.
Wow! I've watched the entire interview and i didn't feel that one hour has passed... A lot of wisdom! ❤🙌
One of the only few bodybuilders who are still healthy in Age. 75 years old and looks like mid 50's. Look at Ronnie coleman or arnold, they got more and more Injurys and become ill.. respect for zane, the best example for a healthy Life.
He's done so well. Our episode with Lee Haney also covers how to train without getting injured. You can find it here... ruclips.net/video/p3wPtgxjs7A/видео.html&lc=UgyfKz4xrKuvMZwgyip4AaABAg
Respect to Steve Reeves and Frank Zane. Top two in my books.
to be fair, ronnie was a lot bigger and trained much heavier which was probably the reason he declined so fast
@@ee-ec9vq Yes you are right, however ronnie's form was terrible. He also injured himself many many times.
Isn't Ronnie in a wheelchair? His body is broken beyond belief now.
Great interview.
Thanks! He's a great guy. Have you heard any other episodes of the Escape Your Limits podcast? www.escapefitness.com/listen-now
There are a few athletes in history who's name is almost bigger than sport they participate in, Nicklaus, Palmer, Jordan, Ali, Federer, Senna, Dimagio. Nobody is bigger than the sport or so we are told, all we know is some get closer than other's, Frank is in that elite group.
Frank Zane, did you notice the Time Stamp of your video 1:01:11, We are all vibrations searching to match each others base line frequintsys, thank you for being you and spreding your vibration and state of consiousness to this wourld.
Am I the only one who thought that intervier was Lance Armstrong with a bald head and British accent?
Same, he does resemble or looks a lot like Lance Armstrong, could be his fill in double!
I also thought it was Armstrong
Peter Banjoo No, he’s English.
I thought it was Christian von Konesseg
I thought that dude from Die Hard
Great video. The only interview I know of of Zane. Much respect for Zane. I didn't know he was this smart. Chemist. Damn. Smarter than me.
When I first saw one of Frank Zane’s photograph the first thing that came to my mind was a perfectly sculpted Greek statue. I kept thinking ‘is this possible’ that day. True legend!
Amazing interview. Mr. Zane is extremely intelligent and philosophical. A great approach to bodybuilding that can also be used in everyday life. Thanks,
