Hats off to you man. That literally made buying this truck worth every cent..
OMG, I’m sitting in a waiting room pulling up videos to learn from. The word “humor” was cut off on my phone when I opened it-thought it was serious. Until…
It was so hard not to burst out laughing at this! Love it! Great job!
I can't wait for your next April 1st post!
2 out of a few...is pretty accurate🎉 😆😆😆
I have a fairly fool proof test.
Step 1: Is there a 6.0 under the hood? Yes.
Step 2: Is it stock and over 100k miles? Yes.
Result: Bad Head gasket.
Just about... I have seen a few make it to 200k all stock but it’s rare.
157000 and fingers crossed
136k head gasket still good and I tow with it
250k stock still.. just saying
Cool!
Awaiting the follow-on vid on how to drill through the hood!
Great Job indeed!
Humor attempt successful!
I modified a cap for a line and gauge. But when I saw your modified cap I seriously laughed out loud. No doubt it works. Funny as heck though. Then the oil cap! You should of saved this for April Fools Day.
😂I thought about saving it for April fools but I wanted to catch people off guard. I’m also the type that needs to execute a plan as soon as I think of it or it’s gone.
Lol. I have an 06 6.0 with 168k.
Studded, new head gaskets, sealed, BPD behind bumper oil redirect, BPD egr cooler, BPD radiator, now looking at a 7.3 clutch conversion and BPD water pump. FX4, not lifted. I don't need to compensate for a lift. I'm 5'6. Truck is heavy. I use my 4x4 only when needed, not looking to use the 4x4 for fun......well....sometimes lol
I'm going to ride around with kazoo whistles in my glove compartment or console from now on and I'm also down to cut an oil filter hole 🕳 I'll put it right by a huge hood stack for my exhaust even if it's not a pull or race truck. Also, need to make a wiring video on how to install duplicate sets of cab lights and a cb radio once I get my mud flaps installed! 😆😆 Excellent channel man. Keep up the good work & thanks for sharing with us that still love one of the wrongfully hated best trucks ever.
🤣 I'm dying, fantastic trick bro! 🤘
I hit the LIKE button, but would advise sticking to what you do best, diesel mechanic! Keep the videos coming!
Wait a minute . I backed out of a deal on 03 f250 because there was pressure on that cap you were talking about. Man also told he clean up that little tank earlier because it had some junk on it. I know nothing about diesels. You serious about cap deal .
A bad cap or incorrect level can cause coolant to vent. It’s normal to have some pressure in the bottle. The only way to know if the gaskets are bad is to replace the cap and see if it still vents or put a pressure gauge on the cooling system.
@@InTheShop Thanks for reply. This truck I was talking about is clean inside and out. Guy told me previous owner ran it hot. Owner replaced radiator that had crack in end tank. Says ok now . I’m too afraid to buy it.
Pure genius 👏
Hahahahaha 🤣 flipping awesome man. I think you’re my new favorite beating out diesel tech Ron RIP is a tough thing to do good looking out man.
Damn I can’t stop laughing man! Wonderful
That was GREAT !! I thought you were serious !! ;-)
Nice reprieve from all of the stuff coming from the news. Great work!
lol..... when u look at those boat anchors everyday you have to add humor... and you did well
Great Solutions 🎉
Like the intro
Oh yeah Its party time!!! Whooohoo
I wish I could have heard you over my turbo🤣
Nice
Now I can’t wait to be the first kid on my block with a filter sticking outta my hood.🤣 Great vid, keep ‘me coming.👍
This guy is the real MVP 😂
I’m having a lot of trouble with my 6.0 took to a mechanic and he fucked me bout to take him to small claims but can’t seem to find the issue thinking of doing it my self
I use that as my car alarm 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But Good Idea 💪
Hahahahaha Literally Laughed Out Loud !!! Thanks 🙏🏻 #777Slots
I have no coolant bottle issues but i have coolant in my oil
does the liquid solution head-gasket test kits that you put on the de-gas bottle for gas cars, you know the one where the fluid turns from blue to yellow if exhaust gasses are in the coolant, do these not work on diesels?
Thank you..
Unfortunately it doesn’t really work on these trucks. The only accurate way to test these is a pressure test under a load.
Most people blow their headgaskets by suping their trucks out and riding at high speeds/rpms.
Change the oil, regular maintenance, don’t overpower a fat engine and no issue.
I got an o3, first generation 6.0. Ive got oil coming out of the head gasket between the head and block. Also getting oil in my coolant. I have installed a new oil cooler already. Still getting oil in the coolant.... no coolant in oil. As I understand it, there is no hpop oil in the heads on this engine? Only lpop oil to lubricate the rocker arms? Trucks runs perfect other than the oil leak and oil in the coolant. Is this a head gasket issue?
very funny - loved it
wasn't expecting dat😂
If the head gasket is bad, is the truck would die when it gets hot or high rpm?
Because mine is die while I am driving and it's starting again when it cools down.
Love the humor 😂👍
Patent Pending!!! Licensed full range model available soon.
Haha 😂
Whatever happened to the dt466? Did you get it done? If so what's the fuel economy like?
I just posted a video about it two days ago. Finally started working on it again
Got a question about the 6.4 getting a little excessive pressure in degas bottle...head gasket? I’m pretty sure but anything I can do to test? Besides that awesome cap lol
Can you make an upgraded head gasket tester for my exhaust!
how much does it cost to get headgaskets replaced if its already been studded?
if the head gaskets are bad do you put them in time out ?
Yup 1 minute for each year old they are.
OMG! 🤦🏻♂️🤣🥃
I should have done this on my truck. Before i did my headgaskets there was more exhaust coming out of the coolant bottle than the exhaust pipe. It literally blew out water before you could even pour it in
Can I ask about how much did you pay for this work?

Damn that made my day
Haha 😂
Dude every coolant cap will have pressure
First this video is a joke as you can see by the title. Second you are right every coolant cap will have pressure under it when an engine is at operating temp. The issue is when you have excessive pressure. The cap vents at 16 PSI
That’s hilarious! 😂
you should patent that cap.. lol
😂😂
Whats the SnapOn part number for that tester cap?
What are the part numbers PLEASE?
Too funny! Better get a patent.
Haha patent pending
What happens if you go past that fill mark?
The coolant has no room for expansion and pushes out the cap appearing like a bad headgasket.
🤣🤣 ive seen it all now
Holy shit she struggled to start!
I thought mine was bad at maybe. 5 to 1 sec but yours is way worse. 😂
Cracked heads can cause the same conditions.
Cracked heads, bad headgaskets, bad EGR cooler and even the occasional cracked block between cylinder wall and coolant jacket can cause it. The video was meant to be humor
FL-4032 😂😂
Lawls
Egr cooling
Oh the failure on this truck was 100% the EGR cooler. This video was just for fun.
Where’s the lfmao button at? 🤣💀
Haha!
Comon!🎉
Haha sun of a …. Haha
Haha I’m still laughing at the cap you fabricated haha
