That is the most complete team I’ve ever seen Michigan put out on the field. Reminds me a lot of this year’s team.
Yea couldn't agree more. 2003 and 2016 deserve to be in the conversation with the 97 team and this years team. We got robbed in 2016 with the best D (in terms of nfl talent) we've had for 20 years.
@@gnar7003 one thing i miss is the pro style qb Carr used the Brady henne Navarre griese and then you always that dominant wr Edwards Walker manneigham seems like harbaugh scouts for different talent
@@sharifs649 Yep very true, I just wish it worked against USC in those rosebowls
We back babyyyyy!!!
How about 2023’s team?
Totally missed this as I was completely focused on the bulls with michael Jordan. 1997 was a great year for the state of Michigan in terms of sports. Michigan football wins the National Title, Michigan hockey won the National Title, and the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup.
holey schmoley I did not know that
Go Blue Forever
People try to act like today’s game is so much better, but these guys look fast and strong right here. Could definitely play in other eras
The 97 team would have kept up with todays game
What a rare game. Bob Griese watching his son Brian win a National Championship while broadcasting the game.
This is the best game that I was seeing Michigan play I was so happy that they went undefeated and won the Rose bowl
I love you Keith Jackson. What a moment for Brian and poppa. Signed a Buckeye fanatic. Hate ya Blue!, but respect!
The legendary Keith Jackson making the call with Brian Griese's Dad , Bob Griese.
I was at this game. Ryan Leaf was by FAR the best player on the field that day. He almost singlehandedly beat Michigan. I know all about the sad details but I, still am surprised to this day that he didn't make it in the NFL. Also, it wasn't the best game we played that year. It might have had something to do with it. I thought the team peaked against Penn State.
"You wanna cry, go ahead. I'll hold you."
Why isnt the 1st touchdown in the highlights?
One of those games where I wish both teams could have won, both were deserving
I’m here after Michigan won the national championship !
I was at this game! Awesome!
2:46 Iconic
Ohio state football fans eat your heart out!; national college football championship 1997
Were so fucking back.
Michigan all day
Whose here after we just did it again〽️
You know it!
I KNEW that Brian Griese would pan out!!
I went to high school with Tai Streets he was a monster
They had to steal the last few seconds just to win it !
If you recall, WSU got away with a mugging pass interference to put them that far down the field. Otherwise those seconds are ticking by with WSU way down on the one yard line in Michigan territory. No issue with what turned out. The better team won.
I miss Keith Jackson man
Streets!
good player
Go Michigan wolverines forever Amen
7:00 friends dad waving michigan flag in crowd
Them shoulder pads look so ugly now lol, dudes on the line falling everywhere lol
Peeps forget how good Woodson was at M
Nobody forgets…he’s the only defensive player to win the Heisman. I’m pretty sure everyone knows he’s one of, if not the greatest Wolverine of all-time.
This statement isn't true.
Go blue
Talk about biased they don't even show WSUs scores f Michigan
Well no shit moron, if you read the the title, it says “Michigan highlights”
Michigan needed a poll jump, and a squeaker to get the AP to fawn em not a champion
James B well they were champions of this game....
@@DarthSmittious14 Barely. And, then, the sports announcers and writers voted Griese's kid to win the national championship. The sportscasters and writers were -- and still are -- Big 10 fanboys. Look at Corso and Herbstreit. Shit, all of ESPN for that matter and just about every writer on the east coast loves Meyer.
Tell me who was more deserving of the Title
@@2200Z Michigan would trash Nebraska
@@2200Z "barely" is irrelevant. A person who graduates college is still a college graduate regardless of where they finish.
