I was 14 attending this game. Dad scored season tickets for a good deal by getting on the list right away when they opened up 2 new rows in the endzone This game was the epitome of my childhood Michigan football memories. After the game, everyone was watching everyone else waiting for the students to rush the field so we could follow suit. I pleaded with my dad to let me join in and after security gave up, we all got down there and celebrated. I forgot who it was but one of the Wolverines gave me a rose. Haven't had a moment this special until this year's game. However we do in playoffs, the season's already been won IMO. What a great time for Michigan football and the memories it brings back!
I remember watching this game live as a 10 year old. I was into college football even at that time. I was rooting for Ohio State and wanted to see them pull off the upset. Charles Woodson simply wouldn't let it happen. He made crucial plays on defense, offense AND special teams. To this day, one of the most dominant and memorable performances that I've ever seen, college or pro.
If you pause it @ 3:26, you can see David Boston in the background watching C.W. run by on his way to victory. What a nice sight to see. I'm a USC fan, but I have always enjoyed watching Michigan play through the years.
I remember being so mad when Boston caught that TD. He had been so thoroughly dominated that game by Woodson until that play. Would have been nice to shut him out. Of course, Boston showed his true colors running his mouth after that catch too...down 20-7 and all and after getting his lunch handed to him all game. Who had a better NFL career too?
Boston made the cover of Sports Illustrated after this game... When he got destroyed by Marcus Ray in the 4th quarter. I still remember his body flailing mid-air.
Woodson slipped, Boston got lucky. It's not like Boston beat Woodson on that bomb, the field was in pretty bad shape in this game. Boston was a chump dropping passes, he didn't back up his talk at all and he was probably on roids at OSU. He certainly was in the pros he failed multiple drug tests and looked like a body builder in pads.
Mc Rem He was maybe the greatest college player ever, watching him carry Michigan to the national title playing on all three units, offense, defense, and special teams was amazing. I'm not a Michigan fan but watching him play in college was special, he definatly deserved the Heisman over Manning when he won it. Peppers last year was Woodson light. Loved it when my Raiders drafted him, not just great but tough too. Had the same injury Carr had this year second to last game of the season and came back to play with a metal rod in his leg in the AFC title game and Super Bowl.
Are you serious? Those guys probably barely knew or cared who Brady was at that time. They won mainly because of the guy wearing #2 who went on to win the heisman.
JJ B I'm a lifelong Michigan fan, please don't ever compare Jabrill Peppers to Woodson. I wanted Peppers to be great but he never did anything great in a Michigan uniform. Good athlete but 1 career interception? C'mon.
woodson is one of the greatest defensive players of all time, he won NFL defensive player of the year and a heisman trophy both being a defensive back. People say deion sanders or can name any other corner but woodson is the greatest.

Watching this after the blowout gotta relive the glory days
We are back 💪
No need to "re-live" no more.
We are so back
15-0 wise guy. An we beat Alabama an won the national championship by 21 points. The greatest football team in big ten conference history
Woodson another Michigan great, Tom Brady, Robinson, and the list goes on...

Charles had a bigger impacts as wideout more than the wideout lol go blue
lol David Boston had like one good season. The clown is not even worthy enough to shine Woodson's shoes lmfao

@@fluffynoses lmao😂
Watching this in 2024. Man was FRYING them up my goodness
Charles woodson is the greatest
Woodson also had two picks his freshman year against buckeyes. Last one sealed the victory.
Pound for pound, the greatest college football player EVER.
whos back after the 2021 Michigan domination at home. First win in 10 years - Go Blue
They cheated
Woodson at Michigan was a phenomenon
6:30 That is just INSANE! He was so good. Jeebus
I always get a kick out of all the praise lavished on a punter…then Woodson clinched the Heisman.
Woodson and Boston had some great battles in the league also
I wish I was born 10 years earlier to see if play
My first ever college football season. Was amazing
Why the f did Stanley Jackson throw to Woodson's guy in the endzone LOL? It wasn't even a disguised coverage or anything.
No idea this nigga did EVERYTHING in college😂💯...

Mc Rem and still the only Defensive player to win a Heisman.. Don't know how long we gonna wait to see that change...
He was a running back in high school but wanted to preserve his body for the pros. Not many like Woodson.
The good ole days. When they wore maize pants. ONLY!!!!
The goat Charles Woodson. Go Blue.
Take a good look you will never see another player like Charles Woodson
Pause the video at 3:14 and tell me that is not the most beautiful and iconic uniform in all of college football....
What happened to the Marcus Ray hit on Boston
Too bad the NYG didn't get him. Woodson plays like an old school NYG player.
He played like Lawrence Taylor as a db!!! Very accurate on your part
3:37 - Brady Hoke cameo
2:02
This game alone shows you Woodson was much better than Travis Hunter. Travis Hunter doesn't have any legacy games that compares to this game
I kind of wish michigan would bring back natural grass
The closest thing to Deon Sanders we will ever see...
Deion was a better cover guy. Woodson was a better overall player. CW could do it all, cover tackle, play offense and defense.
Damn right!!!
He was better than Woodson....alot better
Michigan won because tom Brady was on the roster . It doesn't matter he didn't play . Brady is the ultimate winner
jaeda m oh fuck you
jaeda m iksjsjdjdjdjewmjsnne
You stupid or what?
Are you serious? Those guys probably barely knew or cared who Brady was at that time. They won mainly because of the guy wearing #2 who went on to win the heisman.
the jabrill peppers before jabrill perppers
JJ B Charles is 5x the player as jabrill
I GOTTA BURNER I'm just saying they play all the same positions and dominate. there both freaks but Charles has the edge by far
JJ B I'm a lifelong Michigan fan, please don't ever compare Jabrill Peppers to Woodson. I wanted Peppers to be great but he never did anything great in a Michigan uniform. Good athlete but 1 career interception? C'mon.

Don't ever Compared Peppers to Greatness. Ever
