    I remember saying back in 2009 his defensive mvp year he was the goat and alot of ppl tried to argue. He wins the super bowl next season 2010 where he broke his collarbone on an amazing effort when he dove to break up a sure TD. He didn't get the love I thought he deserved until he announced he was retiring. He was the best because of his talent, his longevity, toughness, he could rush the passer better than any DB I've seen. SHUTDOWN corner. Played CB, FS, SS on an All-Pro level. 1st ballot Hall of Famer. LEGENDARY Heisman winner, National Champ, all-time great college and pro football player. Raiders love him, but he helped the Packers win a Super Bowl, so the Packers will remember him forever.

      Firestarya he was a great player in the beginning and the raiders thought he was done. It's fine bro this is not a Packers-Raiders Charles Woodson pissing contest. Who cares what he wanted at that time. Jim Kelly didn't want to play in Buffalo. Michael Jordan wanted to sign with Adidas, but money talks, bullshit walks.

    • @aaronseidl5941
      @aaronseidl5941 6 лет назад

      @@firestarya he didn't want to at first, but he really loved it in GB in large part because of the fans. He's obviously going into the Hall as a Raider and will get his number retired with them, at least he should. The most with the Packers he'll get is their Hall of Fame.

    Man I loved going to the big house as a kid. Winding through the surrounding neighborhood making the way to the stadium. Always had to park super far away because the streets were lined with cars. Catching footballs thrown by random people tailgating in their yards, smelling all the grills going, hearing the radios with either the pregame show or people blaring the fight song and maize and blue flags draped all over houses in between all the maple trees showing those pretty fall colors.
    Finally getting up to south Main Street and getting the first glimpse of that colossus of a stadium. Had to go walk by the big statue of the eagle no matter what. Getting down into our seats divided by the isle way from the student section (having massive marshmallow fights). Hearing the band get going, waiting to see if the leader was going to touch his head to the ground backwards. Always did, and without his hat on.
    Biakabutuka, Woodson , Toomer , Griese, Perry, Hart, Edwards, Henne, Long and all the rest of them. Watching games there was a really great part of my childhood. Go Blue!

    Charles Woodson was my hero and role model! He was the reason why I played football and became a Cornerback! I did everything to try to emulate him because I never seen anyone play the game like him. He was the first player ever to win the Heisman Trophy as a Defensive Back! Because of his influence, I won a Conference Championship my senior year in high school in 2001!!! Charles Woodson is the greatest of all times!!!🏆

    If he was a true defensive player he wouldnt have won it. True defensive players never win it no matter how great they are. So him playing on offense really helped his case on becoming the heisman trophy winner.

    • @randomnoob661
      @randomnoob661 7 лет назад +15

      Adam Christmas what are you talking about he is a true defensive player he played wide receivers sometime but the two best things he did was number one Play cornerback and number two return kicks so don't be disrespectful to the greatest defensive player in college football history the Only defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy in college football history Charles Woodson the best to do it at the college level argubly the best to do it at the pro level 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐

    • @adamwayne101
      @adamwayne101 6 лет назад +2

      Random Noob That wasn’t what my statement was about lol. True Defensive players aka players that only play defense don’t win. They don’t really have a shot because it’s harder to make as much of an impact strictly on D as QBs and WRs do. I feel like Defensive players should have an even chance to win but it’s mainly a QB award sadly.
