On my first game found a very communicative and tight squad, every teammate on my team was chatting whether that be call outs or just chatting. Instantly made me fall in love with the game. Unfortunately in the following matches nobody talked and there were no call outs, it’s seems pretty rare to find servers like that now.
I call stuff out and sometimes my squadmates start following me around. Just yesterday was running away from combat and they followed without me saying a thing one asked I said the gary is about to go down it is lit up get there and save the gary and follow the trail of enemies to their op. They were amazed.
hmm, could do another 5 mistakes imo... 1. Recon units not working as saboteurs behind enemy lines and just using it as an excuse to play with a sniper 2. Not knowing when it's time to fall back, too many times people stick around for the recapture and you wind up losing 2 successive points very quickly. 3. Officers not marking targets for other squads and the artillery. 4. Building nodes far back in your own territory at the start of the game (which takes up a node that was going to be built deeper on the battlefield). 5. Too many small squads instead of 6/6 capped squads, limiting the effectiveness of your group. Especially annoying when they're locked and refusing to play with others. Two big changes HLL need to make is to make the friendly markers set to 250/500m by default and also give the ability for officers to vote to remove a commander from the role. Had too many incompetent commanders that barely communicate, sometimes don't even have a mic and are just generally rude and angry. You didn't get promoted to that role by the military, we aren't your subordinates, you clicked a button and selected commander, have some perspective and communicate. The vote would not to be to kick them from the server, just their role as commander because at the moment there are a few people playing that role who are a little too abrasive to have people tolerate them and the possibility that they could be ousted might make them treat others with more decency.
Damn, Im getting very frustrated at this game, eventhough it sounds as if it's the serious WWII buff / reality enthusiast game. I know very little about all that officer stuff, I'm trying to play as a simple rifleman, try to talk and no one talks, try to follow orders but there are none, see all my squad mates completely scattered... complicated!
another important point he didn't mention: at least every second squad should have a medic, ideally every squad. reviving a teammate means you save 10 seconds of kill timer and up to 40 seconds on garrison spawn, plus 15 seconds up to whole minutes of running back to the point.
I think medics are a complete waste of time. Maybe 1 out of 10 times that I wait for a medic I get revived a few seconds after going down. 4/10 the medic also gets shot and the rest of the times I waiting for longer than it would take me to respawn at the OP and get to where I was. Medics aren't used at all in competitive matches, which should give you an idea of their worth. If you have a good squad leader, you don't need a medic. Also, the better the enemy is, the more useless the medic becomes because he can't revive people from headshots.
Doesn’t it take resources to build garrisons? I played squad lead once and I didn’t have enough stuff to build garrison with. I had no support player on squad maybe that matter?
Not building garrisons is the biggest mistake. Especially fall back garrisons. I never see people building garrison in the second grid/strongpoint. It ends up with people spawing at HQ eventually if we are on the loosing end. Build one at the begining of the game when everyon moves up. Also border garrsisons. Build garrisons on the border in case you lose the point so that you still have a garrison. If you dont you will will likely fall back 3 even 4 grids backs from the lost strongpoint. UTILISE ALL 10 GARRISONS AT ALL TIME. Commander can remove garrsions so i will say it again utilize all 10 garriosn all the timedoesnt matter if they are close to each other just use them. You should make a garrison only video.
Here's 2 more. 1. People starting to flank instead of going head on and then entire team decided to flank, so that they are basically just going head on at a different angle. 2. People not leaving clearing the prior strongpoint, because its "locked". Allowing enemies to destroy the garrison, so that when your next point falls, you have no spawns on the point you must defend, and lose it instantly.
Honestly some of the best matches I've had is being the squad leader who keeps his squad on the previous point, scouting for garrisons, requesting engineers, and keeping an eye out for Recon teams. The best times in HLL is when you feel useful even if you aren't doing much
If I had to pick one of these I'm most guilty of, its attacking head on over and over. I guess it's just the stubborness in me that drives me to do that. The thing is, whenever I play that way, I find myself not having much fun. It's good to get the reminder here to NOT do this. Thanks!
I kinda enjoy it weirdly, sometimes there's just those great set ups where you feel like two army's clashing. Imho it feels more fun than just seeking around a cheesing the spawn system.
no comms? i think a lot of it is simply shyness - and may i say, i think i'm improving! had a good game last night mainly because i was in an emotionally mature squad talking all the time - we still lost but i learned how important it is to speak. silence is deadly.
This comment is for every commander out there, I found the best use of the strafing run, if a garrison is completely locked out, chances are it’s being destroyed or about too, a strafing run will instantly clear it as the enemy will be close enough that it’s basically guaranteed to hit them and comes in without warning, can save you a garrison easily
I have 11 hours in this game, I've played officer like 3 times, and I've always been the one to drop garrys when the commander asks for it, and I usually get my squad to hold tight on a point and defend, then we kind of walk around the surrounding area and hunt down anyone trying to hit our point
monoespacial nice, when I see hell let loose videos and people doing stuff crazy wrong, I put you terradactyl names out there. I hope to see you keep growing. Can’t wait for the new guide.
All 5 of these points are spot on. Great video mono! I'm happy to report that I don't do any of these 5 things and very proud of it! But far to many players do. :(
Here's a critical one: Building garrisons inside of the strong point. As soon as the enemy is nearby, it gets locked, forcing the whole team to spawn far from the point (bc of already mentioned mistake #1) which translates into losing it
Thank you for this video, help me understanding things in game. I'm playing hll Just 2 weeks and get so much more enjoy and effect when using comms. It realy makes a difference.
How I use the Strafing run: If I observe a garrison turn red and spawning denied, I’ll quickly order a strafing run to kill the enemy that may be attempting to dismantle. It works about 75% of the time to clear the spawn point. I sometimes place the strafing run preemptively over a strategically important spawn point in the event it becomes red & contested. It can also be used to clear out trench lines but be aware that often the pull-up map doesn’t reflect the real terrain very accurately.
@@monoespacial As commander, I'm usually on the point defending or assisting with capping, because the CO offers significant capturing/defending power. I think 1 CO is worth 6 infantry (?)
I think the game is missing a tutorial or a small campagne, because it’s really hard to learn the tactics and roles in the game. And you can’t get any experience playing artillery or commander, because if you make mistakes or don’t know how to use ur position right, you get killed or screamed at. 🤷🏻♂️
It annoys me when no one builds garrisons or no one taking out outposts and garrisons around. Sometimes I let a group go by so I can figure out where their garrisons or outpost are. Taking outa single player is not as important as taking out their spawn point
I also find squad building garrisons right in the spawn point and when defending, not wanting to leave the strong point, which in my mind, if you're not out looking where the enemy is spawning and destroying their spawn points, it makes it way easier to attack you
They need to make mics mandatory somehow.. it’s crazy in how many servers/ squads that not a single person talks. It’s literally killed my mood for this game.
So far I am very happy with German speaking community in this regard! Every one talks. Joined a UK public server couple of days ago and left after 20 mins. It was just frustrating, the squad leader was fist AFK and later silent, the hole squad scattered across the map with no goals. No garrisons, no resource nodes. A mess.
the squad chat also works well if it is used. But yeah, mics gives another feeling, but is a player is willing to communicate, he will also do fine with the squad text chat
The whole point of using the supply drops for garrisons is to draw enemies away from where squad leads are setting up other ones. But if your SL's don't put up garrisons then nothing will work
The classic in these type of games, is either the lack of medics or the medic not going to wounded.. Have experienced so many times, that a medic is within 20 m but then just abandons their duty
Not building OPs is also a big problem , sometimes you will see SL's running until next point , 2 squares into ennemy territory , without a single OP . Then they die and have to do it all over again...
I always throw smoke directly onto the enemy so that it blinds them from seeing . never throw smoke far away except under circumstance where you are being lit up by Mg and need to get to cover.
I hope HLL fixes the support role. They need to make it possible to deploy more than one supplies per life. Because the gameplay loop of placing supplies and having your teammate shoot you in the head is very unrewarding. Maybe they should have garrisons regenerate supplies after a certain amount of time or spawns. So when you place your supplies down, and a garrison is built, that garrison can generate either generate 1 supplies every two minutes or 10-20 supplies per spawn. These supplies can then only be deployed for use by support players that pick them up from the garrison.
Yeah, I don't know what changes could fix the issue. Maybe supply players regenerate supplies over time and can choose to deply 50 or 100 at a time. That way if you build 2 garrisons with 2 drops of 50, you just need to wait until you can do that again. Whatever the case, there needs to be more encouragement on garrison building at every level.
I don't like the idea of depending on one squad member for supplies. It's not realistic. What soldier carries a huge box of supplies into battle? I think Garrisons should just take a minute or so to build and cost nothing. And outposts should delete after the squad lead dies. That avoids the super repetitive gunfights where soldiers just keep (unrealistically) spawning endlessly. After their death they have to go back to garry and start over.
The worst part of the game right now IMO is when an enemy squad puts up an outpost in some remote place way behind your lines and they just keep spawn camping your friendly players. That is so unrealistic and annoying. The one and done rule would totally fix that.
@@kingsleyzissou5881 I agree with squad leader dying the Outpost should disappear. Yeah, support and engineer need to be reworked. Especially axis. The kar is vastly inferior to the US garand and carbine. SURE it's a little bit better at range...for one shot.. and that's it. The kar is the worst weapon in the game for dealing with multiple targets. A good squad that runs garands and carbines can absolutely demolish the axis rifles.
The problem of no comms can be narrowed down pretty easy in my opinion. Especially at the start of a match there is almost every time a lack of open/joinable infantry squads, as most people don't want to play SL. While more experienced players wait for a couple of minutes till someone opens new squads (or they do it themselves in the end) - new players seem to instantly create new squads without hesitation the moment they can't join an existing squad. They often don't know that there is some sort of responsibility once you created a squad. I can't count the amount of times I joined a squad and seconds later the lvl10 SL left the squad and joined back as a machine gunner/assault or whatever.
Excellent video! Both informative and entertaining. Keep up the great work man! You are such a great part of the community and it is an honor to game with you. ~+Cronus+ [DIXX]
#5 is so crucial. I've been able to talk with more people in the past week since I picked up the game than I have in years. And that's despite what I thought was crippling social anxiety.
my voip is bugged :( wish i could speak with the rest of the unit, but pressing c or v wont work. I have an interface and mic connected, they are recognized by windows. got the drivers installed. did the setting thing to allow apps to use my mic, and all. it just wont work.
my whole team was killed or at least 30 of them i remember this because it was one of my first matches and everyone was yelling that we were going to die, it was so cool.
JUst started playing HLL. Absolutely loving it. Last match we had almot no garrisons, so I proposed to build more garrisons (like 5 or 6 times). Nothing happened. We lost. Bummer
Only time I use a strafing run is to protect a garrison if no one is around to keep it from being dismantled. I've had about 65 to 70% success with it. Usually works best if near hedge rows and not in the city. Other than that the strafing run is super useless
I mean while you got a good point with number 5...its kind of hard to communicate when the entire mic system refuses to work for me ever since I installed the game. Not kidding for some reason the whole mic chat just won't work in game and idk why.
I’m new to the game and I have only come across comma twice. Played about 6 rounds so far. I know I’m still acquainting myself with the chat mechanics and all, but found I rarely get any comms at all. Frustrating.
My issues... - Poor commanders, flat out ignoring or not doing what the role requires. - Lack of garrisons, offensive or defensive. - Lousy squad leaders and low comm players, not being consistent with new outposts, or not being elaborate on anything he should be doing. - People going into the artillery and just shelling away all our resources way before we hit mid-game. - Lack of smoke as stated in the video, what pisses me off soo much are people throwing smokes IN FRONT of our team and virtually blinding us. Or people throw them on a single downed player just to revive them.
SQUAD LEADERS: If you need intel from another squad lead such as if their mark is still accurate and they dont respond to you in the command channel, ask other squad leaders direcetly who are near to the mark if its still accurate. This works 95% of the time.
4:23 I don't blame the player for that, I think this is a serious problem of design because nobody wants to play a game where you spend five minutes after you respawn to travel to a point where you can just instantly die, again
I have just started playing last week, hoping to get into the communication team play you see on the content channels. Apparently that's a thing of the past now and people are playing it like it's PUB G. Almost zero communication.
I had a game today where almost no one spoke or building garrisons. I tried to tell people and put it in the chat, but nothing. But also we had a commandor and then again he was gone. So ofcourse that didn't help. But it was so annoying so I left the server. After that I had a game with guys placing lot of garrisons and placing an OP if I requested etc. It was so much better. I was once an officer but no one could give me supplies for that so that was also a bummer. Placed a lot of OPs though and marked as many tanks and infantry as possible.
They just released this on xbox. And the in game voice chat actually bleeds into your party chats and you voice bleeds into the game even when in a party which in my opinion clues people into voice chat easier bc they can't get away from it etc.
Couldn't agree more on the no communication, as a new player (PS5) it seems rare to get a. anyone that talks and b. a squad leader that does take the lead. Does anyone know of console (PS5) forums where I could find people to regularly team up with?
One of the reasons I used to play Battlefield now I dropped it for HLL… Hopefully I can find people that wore the uniform and can relate to the game now that is coming to Xbox!!
I have been finding myself deploying in one squad as support, dropping supplies, leaving the squad and creating another, just to build garrisons, on console. Then rejoining the squad I was in just to get my ass chewed, lol. I quit 3 games last night just because of this.
Muy buen video! I'm looking for tutorials as I've just downloaded the game but I don't wanna be a total complete noob, as I come from a long time playing CS and CoD, I realized I've got to change my mind set for this game, and it's so exciting! Are there any latin american servers?
One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is fov. What fov setting is best do you think?. It seems you used to change the ini file too but have they taken that away with update 9
Not working together as squad with all lone wolves is annoying. Also people shooting like crazy when stealth makes more sense. People not waiting with the truck at the start for others to get on it. People alone in a tank. Etc
Another mistake: No one stepping up to play leadership roles. If you’re new to the game you should probably learn the game first, but once you have an idea where to go and who to shoot at, you need to learn the squad leader role so you can at the very least place an outpost for your squad. Once you have some time as a squad leader, try commander. The worse you can do is lose. I’ve seen entire matches go by with no commander. We’re not going to win that way.
You can't place garrisons with the 50 supplies, that the supply class can place. And they will despawn before the timer for another supply crate is available
Haven't played it on pc for a good while, so can't remember it.. But on console I tried exactly that. 100 for a garrison. Supply class can only place 50
And what a kind reply, for a otherwise helpful outlet in guidance to a better experience in HLL... Feels almost like conversing with the Post Scriptum community
It's just that this is so completely wrong I didn't even know what to say. It's 100 supplies for a garrison IN THE RED ENEMY ZONE. 50 for one in your blue area. Supplies don't de-spawn before the timer is up. They de-spawn if you drop them again after that because you can only have 50 supplies down at any given moment as support player. Whatever you tried is entirely wrong and I'm sorry, but I just find it a bit unbelievable that someone would comment on a video "correcting" something while being wrong. But even then, if you've played the game in any capacity you should know it's 50 for a garrison. It... just is. To me this is like going onto a video about Mario games and saying Mario can't actually collect coins.
I always go deep in enemy territory as SL, and place garrisons north or south of the point, along the line to the next point. Don't think I ever placed a garrison in the friendly zone. Well I guess I was right then.. sort of. Edit*- Definitely not "completely wrong"
I played my first game of Hell Let Loose last night and over two games I got 6 kills and get killed like 13 times. But in my defense, I couldn't even remember what half the controls did, and the server I jump on while I got in a pretty good team, the good players played in closed squads and left us blueberries to create/join the open squad so I didn't really have anyone to teach. My biggest problem was seeing anything. I watch videos of gameplay and there are all these guys running around in the open that the content creator is shooting, and my gameplay was nothing like that. I hardly ever saw any enemies. If I pushed up, I'd get shot by something I couldn't see. If I didn't push up, no one ever blundered in front of me. My second game I never saw a single enemy the whole game. I fire just 15 shots and ended the game thinking I'd be pretty useless at doing anything but cap weight, only to discover at the end of the game I had two kills. I never saw them. I just figured that if someone popped smoked there was a good chance, they were behind it. But I didn't see anything. I figure now that I'm starting to get some control over the movement I'll start trying to work on communication, but I have no idea how anyone sees anything, or how anyone knows what the front line is given how much infiltration is going on. A lot of my deaths were within seconds of spawning from a garrison because of some enemy camping the garrison but apparently not wanting to destroy it (which didn't seem like a very helpful thing to do). I'd get shot in the back before I could even go prone. My secondary problem was the gun covering my vision while I was trying to aim it. Getting sights on the target is harder than in more arcade like systems. Is there like simulated weight of the weapon?
I absolutely hate the people that don't ping the enemies at all, like if you won't talk that's cool but ping them so I don't get cut down from my right or left
Played a gruelling 2 hour game earlier and had to step up to commander after only playing the game for 2 days. In my opinion you need to throw yourself into these roles to learn the game faster. It’s really frustrating when people don’t listen to you and just rush the objective and die. Over and over. Build garrisons and support each other. Talk. It’s not hard
1. You bought the game. 2. You thought you could move around the map with out getting head shot from nowhere. 3. You chose to re-spawn instead of uninstalling the game. 4. You once again thought you could move around the map.
Nope. Hopefully they change that, it would be interesting! Actually given the German team doesn't have people speaking actual german it would be very confusing.
Unless you are considered one of their friends. Good luck getting them to talk. Most games when I try I'm pretty much ignored unless they want something. 8 out of 10 games here in Australia suck. We are stuck with only 2 servers because of ping. As far as smoke goes all people are doing now is smoking up and race is on. Good luck finding the 3 or so enemy in mile after mile of smoke. Good thing we have so many John Waynes charging in.. Lol
@@monoespacial So let's say I was on discord with some friends. I could still use v for chat with other squad mates? I'm a noob sorry lol thanks for the help
Yes, all in game coms are independent of discord. I have my discord push to talk button bound near the other coms shortcut key's. However too much communication, or frivolous communication can be worse than no communication at all.
@@ThatFatGuy You confuse evidence with proof. There is a LOT of evidence that he said it. Obviously it is possible and maybe even probable that he didn't. But it's either he said it or some random journalist said it and I choose to attribute it to Einstein.
I have absolutely no idea. That's really inconsequential in this game. First of all, eliminating enemy spawn points is a hundred times more important than killing the enemy. Killing enemies is just a means to an end, that end being securing a position, establishing a garrison, taking a house, etc. I've had matches where I absolutely stomp the enemy team and get 12 kills and others where I got 70 and lost. It's completely irrelevant.
@@monoespacial yeah i know that i really like to lock down enemy flanking routes where they build garrisons and so on. its just satifying to fight a squad and destroy their garrisons and ops haha. but often i do play in the objectives. i feel like that the bullet hitscans are terribly off sometimes but however i average on like 60-70 kills per game i was just wondering how other players feel with gun mechanics the bullet drop on so on for me it feels natural
Knowing that you have to HOLD the c key while speaking for your mates to hear you should have been mentioned. I bought another headset and was really having a hard time figuring it out. Then I just read the instructions🤦♂️
I'm sorry, that's the way voice chat works in pretty much any game on PC: you have to hold the key. It's in the keybinding menu and given its standard practice for many games, I thought it was pretty obvious.
@@monoespacial oh I suppose that's what happens when your new to pc gaming. This is my first purchased game on pc. I have a ps4 but there's no ptt on that mic is always hot. Looking forward to Friday stream.
Communications should be more like NR1 or at least NR2 😋 If evryone that complains about no garrisons being build, would just build them. then we would not have this problem. As a commander i find myself constantly asking SL to build more garrisons. See those gray squares on the map with tools pictured on them? Use em!
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - not Albert Einstein Different versions of this quote appear everywhere (doing the same thing twice, expecting the same result, etc.), and we owe none of them to Einstein. After Michael Becker, an editor at the Bozeman Daily Chronicle (a local paper in Montana), let the wrong version slide into an editorial, he did some research on his personal blog. Becker traced the original back to Rita Mae Brown, the mystery novelist. In her 1983 book "Sudden Death," she attributes the quote to a fictional "Jane Fulton," writing, "Unfortunately, Susan didn’t remember what Jane Fulton once said. 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.'"
6:55 that is the most effective tip for this game, the rest is important but for the expereince of squad play just talk. People start to talk back and that helps massively
No 5 is so annoying, i started playing last week for the teamwork and tactical aspects instead i (almost) end up in a squad scattered over half the map making communication and teamwork within your squad virtually impossible. Seriously, why would you play a game with a tactical depth and focus on teamwork such as HLL if all you do is to rush into some firefight somewhere on the map without coordinating with anybody. This is so frustrating. Guess i have to look for a clan, because at this point public play is just getting annoying. I hope there will be a change in mentality among the player base. But please: If you don't want the responsibility of a squad leader don't play as a fucking squad leader, you're ruining it for everyone else. These couple of times in a well coordinated and actually communicating squad have been amazing and have been atop my most intense gaming experiences since i got my first PC to play Half Life 2 and CS Source and i'd like to have more of these experiences. Rant over.
PSA for anyone playing tanker: Dont be the one dickhead who joins an open tank squad with no mic, gets in the tank without communicating and just does their own thing. You are essentially removing that entire tank from being effective.
16 arty shells for a staffing run!? Bruh when arty is used properly you can decimate a team, which I know because I was the team who got decimated defending a point Edit: I am a front liner, but the thing is, I think like I’m a distraction while some other squad does a flank

I found a lot of talkative people
& if my squad don’t talk I change squads 😅
hmm, could do another 5 mistakes imo...
1. Recon units not working as saboteurs behind enemy lines and just using it as an excuse to play with a sniper
2. Not knowing when it's time to fall back, too many times people stick around for the recapture and you wind up losing 2 successive points very quickly.
3. Officers not marking targets for other squads and the artillery.

I don't get why #4 is a bad thing. Aren't nodes that are further back safer?
This was back when nodes generated more resources the further up they were
I've played at least 10 games of this and it's slowly getting in. Good game, really immersive but also really hard.
This videos should be mandatory for every squad leader wannabe. Logistics are always the lifeline of any army
another important point he didn't mention: at least every second squad should have a medic, ideally every squad.
reviving a teammate means you save 10 seconds of kill timer and up to 40 seconds on garrison spawn, plus 15 seconds up to whole minutes of running back to the point.
Yeah, that and the medic…
I think medics are a complete waste of time. Maybe 1 out of 10 times that I wait for a medic I get revived a few seconds after going down. 4/10 the medic also gets shot and the rest of the times I waiting for longer than it would take me to respawn at the OP and get to where I was.
Medics aren't used at all in competitive matches, which should give you an idea of their worth. If you have a good squad leader, you don't need a medic.
Also, the better the enemy is, the more useless the medic becomes because he can't revive people from headshots.
@@monoespacial It was a joke…
“lifeline” of the army….
Doesn’t it take resources to build garrisons? I played squad lead once and I didn’t have enough stuff to build garrison with. I had no support player on squad maybe that matter?
Your videos are really invaluable for a newbie coming to the game. Getting bored with warzone this game is just outstanding
Yup, I should make a garrison only video.
"Similar structure less than 200m"
Imho it feels more fun than just seeking around a cheesing the spawn system.
its litteraly the call of duty\battlefield experience . you just spawn and fight to death with nothing to fear or lose . you just run back in.
I am also guilty of this - sometimes I feel like I need to keep a squad occupied, but most of the time I am being an idiot
Tell that to the brave men who went head on in Normandy do the same shit and winning
no comms? i think a lot of it is simply shyness - and may i say, i think i'm improving! had a good game last night mainly because i was in an emotionally mature squad talking all the time - we still lost but i learned how important it is to speak. silence is deadly.
This is pretty much the ONLY thing it is useful for unless maybe a last second desperation push
I have 11 hours in this game, I've played officer like 3 times, and I've always been the one to drop garrys when the commander asks for it, and I usually get my squad to hold tight on a point and defend, then we kind of walk around the surrounding area and hunt down anyone trying to hit our point
You were commander in game today, we did really good even though my SL wasn’t speaking
Commander guide coming soon...
monoespacial nice, when I see hell let loose videos and people doing stuff crazy wrong, I put you terradactyl names out there. I hope to see you keep growing. Can’t wait for the new guide.
All 5 of these points are spot on. Great video mono! I'm happy to report that I don't do any of these 5 things and very proud of it! But far to many players do. :(
Madcap is a stone cold professional killer.
Killing is good business!
How I use the Strafing run:
If I observe a garrison turn red and spawning denied, I’ll quickly order a strafing run to kill the enemy that may be attempting to dismantle.
Honest question. Why not sit at the artillery and do the same?
I also find squad building garrisons right in the spawn point and when defending, not wanting to leave the strong point, which in my mind, if you're not out looking where the enemy is spawning and destroying their spawn points, it makes it way easier to attack you
I felt that your content Deserves some backing. Just joined your Patreon!!! I know this has to take Some time to do.
Holy crap!!!! You're the first one! Thanks dude!! I will be overhauling benefits soon so that's super cool. I really appreciate it!
I dont care if some squad/teammates have no mic, as logn as they listen to the SL and perform thier job pretty well.
The whole point of using the supply drops for garrisons is to draw enemies away from where squad leads are setting up other ones. But if your SL's don't put up garrisons then nothing will work
These are bad days in HLL because nearly nobody did this.
Great video mono!
NEVER throw your grenades at tank. They don't do any damage and you might kill a friendly AT trying to blow up the tank.
yeah, but do throw smoke grenades at them
I love the "What's Her Face" avatar you've got there. Too many people no longer remember the glories of Homestar Runner.
Nice man you got right to the point in the beginning. I like it.
I always chew out the SL and then leave if they do not build. Waste of time other wise.
Fot sure, you need to put OPs as frequent as possible. But sometimes you want to get to a good spot and end up get Shot. It can happen.
I used to run headlong into gunfire because I was too lazy to flank...glad I found your channel...now the game is much more fun...
I started playing this game one day ago. Main problem is there is no offline tutorial what to do. Thanks to your videos i got the idea now, cheers!
Top tip: when in a 1v1 as an American Rifleman, ALWAYS try to reload before running out of ammo, because that’s when the enemy knows to rush you.
they really need to speed up the bolt animations for german kar98 and grenade preparation.
I always throw smoke directly onto the enemy so that it blinds them from seeing . never throw smoke far away except under circumstance where you are being lit up by Mg and need to get to cover.
Good stuff man. Keep up the work! Hope to see you on the Team Dixx servers again!
Great video and very informative as is usual. Thanks for sharing!!....
Thanks for watching!
If the outpost disappears when the SL dies you're going to get A LOT of camping and afk SLs. I think it's a terrible idea tbh.
It's the same in PS
Excellent video! Both informative and entertaining. Keep up the great work man! You are such a great part of the community and it is an honor to game with you. ~+Cronus+ [DIXX]
#5 is so crucial. I've been able to talk with more people in the past week since I picked up the game than I have in years. And that's despite what I thought was crippling social anxiety.
my voip is bugged :( wish i could speak with the rest of the unit, but pressing c or v wont work. I have an interface and mic connected, they are recognized by windows. got the drivers installed. did the setting thing to allow apps to use my mic, and all. it just wont work.
many people with this problem.
learned alot from your vids sofar. i only have the game for 2 days but will use these
Trading runs are normally used to try and keep a Garry up from being taken down
One of our hill 400 garrisons was under fire and had no cover and no one was dripping smokes 🙈
Keep them coming!
If an SL is not actively communicating or even speaking, Ill leave the squad. Nothing worse IMO.
my whole team was killed or at least 30 of them i remember this because it was one of my first matches and everyone was yelling that we were going to die, it was so cool.
JUst started playing HLL. Absolutely loving it. Last match we had almot no garrisons, so I proposed to build more garrisons (like 5 or 6 times). Nothing happened. We lost. Bummer
Awesome tips, thanks!
Hi man, love your HLL content. Can you make a guide on all the different grenades? Would be lovely!
Anyways you definitely earned a subscriber.
I mostly blame squad leaders for not building more garrisons. 3 per sector is the bare minimum you need to enjoy the game.
I have just started playing last week, hoping to get into the communication team play you see on the content channels. Apparently that's a thing of the past now and people are playing it like it's PUB G. Almost zero communication.
3:44 that quote isn't from a video game villain....
5 things you should know already if you played shooter games most of youre life
The mic silence thing baffles me...always happens. Every game
Hay servidores latinoamericanos, si. Igual yo juego en servidores americanos con 150-200ms de ping y no tengo problema.
@@monoespacial muchas gracias por responder, monoespacial. Voy a intentar por los servidores yanquis entonces. Éxitosss
One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is fov. What fov setting is best do you think?. It seems you used to change the ini file too but have they taken that away with update 9
Players not talking is the worst, the type of headless chickens that run directly into enemy fire is what I find alot of the time
Not working together as squad with all lone wolves is annoying.
What the hell are you talking about?
Well I guess I was right then.. sort of.
Edit*-
Definitely not "completely wrong"
#3 Mistake- Make more NA servers
One year later and people still don’t follow these basic 5 steps 😐
Also people who build garrisons in the open such as in the middle of a field...
Commander abilities is like number 1 imo i played a match last night and my Commander called in like 4 or 5 strafing runs...lol
I absolutely hate the people that don't ping the enemies at all, like if you won't talk that's cool but ping them so I don't get cut down from my right or left
Walking 10 miles = half the match. Building garrison -5 seconds and you get free cookie
I uploaded a commander guide recently, check it out ruclips.net/video/7jfFIopPuzY/видео.html
I am really happy that I am German. On German servers not speaking really just isn't a thing. They vote kick squad leader who don't speak etc.
First phase on omaha should be sl, assault and docs smoking + riflemen dropping ammo for more smoke 😉
How does your game look so good
1. You bought the game.
2. You thought you could move around the map with out getting head shot from nowhere.
3. You chose to re-spawn instead of uninstalling the game.
4. You once again thought you could move around the map.
I have a NOOB question. If you’re talking in proximity voice chat, can the enemy hear you?
Nope. Hopefully they change that, it would be interesting! Actually given the German team doesn't have people speaking actual german it would be very confusing.
i believed that when this game first was launch you could. They should add it like a distorted voice effect on the radio, that would be awesome
Lol
Is proximity chat always active with squad mates?
No. Proximity chat works by pressing v. Only friendlies nearby hear you.
@@roberttitan4497 oh there's gonna be plenty of frivolous communication! On my discord at least, not in game chat. 😅 But point taken, thanks
Lol..love crediting Vaas with the insanity quote when that's from freaking Einstein himself :P
Actually there is no evidence to show Einstein coined the phrase
@@ThatFatGuy You confuse evidence with proof. There is a LOT of evidence that he said it. Obviously it is possible and maybe even probable that he didn't. But it's either he said it or some random journalist said it and I choose to attribute it to Einstein.
What’s your average kills per match ?
I have absolutely no idea. That's really inconsequential in this game. First of all, eliminating enemy spawn points is a hundred times more important than killing the enemy. Killing enemies is just a means to an end, that end being securing a position, establishing a garrison, taking a house, etc.
I've had matches where I absolutely stomp the enemy team and get 12 kills and others where I got 70 and lost. It's completely irrelevant.
@@monoespacial yeah i know that
i really like to lock down enemy flanking routes where they build garrisons and so on. its just satifying to fight a squad and destroy their garrisons and ops haha.
but often i do play in the objectives.
i feel like that the bullet hitscans are terribly off sometimes but however i average on like 60-70 kills per game i was just wondering how other players feel with gun mechanics the bullet drop on so on for me it feels natural
Looking forward to Friday stream.
wait what, i thought that pressing Z was just enough to speak with your squad, and V for close palyers...
Communications should be more like NR1 or at least NR2 😋
If evryone that complains about no garrisons being build, would just build them. then we would not have this problem. As a commander i find myself constantly asking SL to build more garrisons. See those gray squares on the map with tools pictured on them? Use em!
battlefield music on hell let loose video. interesting
I have survived MUCH MORE STRIFING RUNS than bombings or shellings… Indefinitely don’t fair the stiffing runs.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - not Albert Einstein
Different versions of this quote appear everywhere (doing the same thing twice, expecting the same result, etc.), and we owe none of them to Einstein.
I here company of heroes opposing theme song lol
Pad and paper at the ready mono.
6:55 that is the most effective tip for this game, the rest is important but for the expereince of squad play just talk. People start to talk back and that helps massively
You CANT overpower an INFINITE spawn point people!!!
Rant over.
What??airhead in blue sector ????
It's what the enemy least expects!
People get supply truck stuck in the trenches
Looks at 4 Garrison limit well fuck
PSA for anyone playing tanker: Dont be the one dickhead who joins an open tank squad with no mic, gets in the tank without communicating and just does their own thing. You are essentially removing that entire tank from being effective.
16 arty shells for a staffing run!?
Bruh when arty is used properly you can decimate a team, which I know because I was the team who got decimated defending a point
Edit: I am a front liner, but the thing is, I think like I’m a distraction while some other squad does a flank
