Mmmm... *GUIDES* - Hope this is useful for all of you folks looking to get better at Hell Let Loose! Update 7 drops on the 14th and I will be streaming from 6pm UK Onwards giving away keys for HLL!
they need to make a commander meeting with map drawing like this while in the waiting time. and each squad commander should be able to draw their attaching course on the map dynamically. That will make the other players more likely to know what they should do.
It's all true and well said, but in the end it's necessary that the majority do attrition on the most expected route. They need to keep the enemies engaged while a flanking squad does the job. When let's say two garrisons are established in good unexpected locations then it's the moment to split the attacking forces, half from the same route as before, half from the new "safe" route, so hopefully the enemies will stay concentrated on only the first one, and will get surprised by the latter. Needs a good commander to work tho
I was gonna say the same thing. I don't think it's very fair to call a team "idiots" when flanking only works if other squads put up with the annoying attrition of pushing straight into the head of the beast. If everyone attacked from the "smart direction" then it would just become the frontal assault itself. It's important for the commander to control who's flanking and who's assaulting.
I Just Tell my Squad i Go flank and they keep Up the obvious Attack until i need Them. Eg for a garrison after sneak outpost is placed in flank. Problem solved.
Imagine when you do this with a full squad, that flank will be so much more effective. Good on you to show the power of 1 but people need to understand if you can get a squad flank done properly that will change the course of an objective
I just got out of a game of hell let loose and I was behind the enemy by about 20 feet against the wall in the shade I had about eight enemies with their backs to me firing over a wall and I had no ammo no rockets no pistol and no grenades lol an opportunity of a lifetime and I can only take one guy out with my shovel lol love this game
I am so hyped about the new update. Ty for those tips tho ! I am sure It will help me to improve. You are such a good player. Wp! Some people dont understand that those games are more tactical and slower than cod or bf. I've been playing squad since release and loved PS but HLL is in my opinion more powerful than PS. The fights, the chaos and battle itself is more intense than PS. PS clutches are mostly 5vs5. In HLL your 14 mates get blown up behind while you are under fire. It's amazing as well! Ofc appreciating all three of them
the best thing to do in games like this as a defender is face your own objective from the enemy's side of approach and keep cover at your back. From this position you just shoot enemies in the side or back as they run past you. It's basically impossible to counter and as result entire squads of people end up being forced to divert their attention to you and hunt you down by the sound of your shots. Rinse and repeat if you die, or just switch positions if they start to catch on. Simple and really effective if you find the right spots.
I learnt on my first day (2 days ago now), stay the hell away from the front line if you want to live longer than a few seconds! Flanking with your squad, all sneaky and opening up on their side and back is FUN!!!
I would also like to suggest asking questions. If you are new, ask your squadmates questions. Most people will be more than happy to explain (though be wary when entering a tank crew with 0 experience. Be the spotter 1st) the basics. The key is patience in this game. Its hard to run and gun when one stray bullet will kill you before you can move a step. The flanks take time. You will probably be running for a good 4 to 5 minutes to achieve them. This is where outposts are KEY. Its sucks to get a good flank started and realize that your SL forgot to plop-down the squad outpost after 10 minutes of running. Don't be afraid to remind or request things from your SL. They are human too, they can forget. Don't present your silhouette. If you are sniping and not in an inconspicuous location, find the same ledge with a background object such as a bush or tree to break-up your profile.. Although the game is polished very well, sometimes your character can be sticking up with their legs in the air, so choose your position wisely (or ask a teammates perspective of your position). Overall, HLL has a smoother learning curve than games like Squad or Arma, but don't expect to be a master after a day or two of playing. Have patience, ask questions, watch really good videos like this one, and always think outside of the box!
Great guide! Couldn't have said it better! The only thing I would add is that on your flanks place garrisons in your own sector and leap frog with your OPs as you push the flanks of the enemy sectors
I think I seen you on Squad earlier. Wanted to join the squad but felt intimidated 😂 Not cos I'm a fan boy, I just knew that a RUclips is more likely to be communicating (was tired of squad hopping into silence...) I only recognised the RUclips name from videos I've watched recently. Good job!
Great video man, very informative and entertaining to watch :) Hell Let Loose, like games such as Squad does a brilliant job at hitting a niche where you can receive some sort of entertainment from being one of the cogs in a team and achieving overall victory. Played a match the other day with people who are new to the style, where we flanked the enemy team, set up a garrison and allowed not only the defeat of the other teams attacking force as well as the capture of their point. While we were getting kills, they weren't vast but there was something fulfilling in playing such a vital role in the match.
That's exactly the problem that I have that I see everybody slowly moving to the action.. I had to keep telling people stay on this point stay on this point except slowly drifting off and they had to come back slowly drifting off and had to come back we went through this two to three times until we finally lost the point. And then I kept telling people I told you so I told you to stay on the point. Unbelievable lol
Man, the game really looked different a year ago. The same tactics still apply though. I use these every match as an experienced player, it makes your teammates look at you like you’re a god lol.
Jumped back into HLL since the new update.... I have a beefy pc, nothing from nasa or anything but it’s no toaster either..... anyway, the FPS was like 11 and everyone on my squad was seeing the same thing except for one dude who only had a GTX 1060 with an i7... it was fine for him.
I watched this video last night, and immediately had my best game yet. Set a new record in kills, destroyed several garrisons and OPs, scored multiple tank and vehicle kills.
I guess it's just adaptation over time by I've played a few games and can't ever see anyone shooting at me but always end up dead. Frustrating but I hope I get better at spotting. Would also help to have teammate call outs and tags.
Awesome stuff! I try and flank a lot with my squads and it's a great way to run disruption. Do you play on any specific servers? Would be great to see you on the field.
One tip I got is, STOP BEING A SNIPER. Alot of people play every class like they are a sniper. SHOOT MORE. If you aren't atleast half-empty before shot, you're doing it wrong. You don't need to see the enemy to shoot the shit out of them. The amount of times I have to yell at some schmuck with an MG to light a hedge up is getting really annoying.
How is your scope not shaking around? I thought it was a known issue in the game. I almost can’t play as sniper because the scope jumps around like crazy in a glitchy manner.
This game is so cool but man, the bitching you hear on comms about people not knowing how to play the game is a huge turnoff. At some point new players have to play the game in order to learn. Tonight there was a commander telling people they shouldn't be playing the game if they havent learned how to play from watching RUclips videos first.
This game is basically campers' paradise. Just sit on a crossroad and have you way on the unsuspecting enemies passing by. Or better still, spot an outpost and give them zero chance to dodge your shots until they get fed up and spawn at a different location. That's 80 % of my HLL experience.
Seeing your Snipergameplay made me feel disgusted towards the sniper class it was way to easy to kill loads of people. This is not a personal problem i have with you just with how the class works. Snipers should only be deployed to take out critical enemy positons like Mg-nests or enemy arty. This looked more like Sniping in Battlefield 1 where everybody just takes a sniper and camps ontop of a hill to rack up as many kills as possible.
I would say its one of the least toxic communities, at least in game that is, on the forums I can't say. But everyone Ib command chat actually works together towards achieving strategies better than any other game I've played.👍
Mmmm... *GUIDES* - Hope this is useful for all of you folks looking to get better at Hell Let Loose! Update 7 drops on the 14th and I will be streaming from 6pm UK Onwards giving away keys for HLL!
if more people would play arma3 this wasnt nescessery... but good points made there indeed
Thanks Brit. I just need a guide on how to stop drowning now.
Sounds right.
spam spacebar
Jump when half way through
Drowning in 6 seconds is super realistic. I'm glad they implemented it into the game.
SixFootSixSexySumbitch didn't it used to be instantly?
they need to make a commander meeting with map drawing like this while in the waiting time. and each squad commander should be able to draw their attaching course on the map dynamically. That will make the other players more likely to know what they should do.
Yes! Instead of 5 minutes of running at the start, give us a closer drop and a few mins to draw up a "battle" plan.
man they need to do that. it’d make communication so much better
I've only played for two hours so far but this would be invaluable
THIS. it would set the entire tone for the match and everyone would be on the same page. brilliant!!!
Really good idea in theory... but some fool will probably draw a big dick on the map.
your nickname should be "Flank Sinatra"
It's all true and well said, but in the end it's necessary that the majority do attrition on the most expected route. They need to keep the enemies engaged while a flanking squad does the job. Totally agree with you. This tactic won't work without a solid force putting up preasure along the main routes of attack..

Best tip: act like a squad. Wait for your teammates and don’t run into the action one by one.
anyone else gonna notice at 0:51 that man crouched to dodge the bullet lmfao
No he died
@@garliconionshallot No he didn't die lmfao he runs off to the left...
@@busta818 nah bro you don't understand, he died, used necromancy to resurrect himself then ran away 😂
That tank analogy was spot on.
Imagine when you do this with a full squad, that flank will be so much more effective. Good on you to show the power of 1 but people need to understand if you can get a squad flank done properly that will change the course of an objective
Every war needs grunts to run in to the meatgrinder to distract enemy from noticing couple flanking squads. :D

You’re strategies are exactly why I always build my defenses as an engineer facing the rear. It’s the most vulnerable and most likely to be attacked

This!
Looking at this two years later and this information is still super helpful. Crazy that you used to be able to take out garrisons instantly like OPs.
The best way is to have a good computer that doesn't freeze during the server loading
I'm a new player to this game and watching this vid definitely helped me alot, Thank you so much Brit you just earned yourself another subscriber!!
Great guide! Couldn't have said it better! The only thing I would add is that on your flanks place garrisons in your own sector and leap frog with your OPs as you push the flanks of the enemy sectors
0:51 bullet dodge
Great video you made here Brit! Hoping the new players will find this video. Wonder if they are gonna change the garrison meta in update 7?
Exactly how I would flank.Specially not to shoot at enemies, when you see them and you are trying to flank. I wanna play a game with you, honestly
wow, awesome guide dude! I see lots of FPS guides and none of them ever talk map strategy, the map drawing is super helpful
that flurry toward the engagement: Can we call them Action Lemmings?
Great to hear some interesting things!
2:00 in and that tank analogy was big i was like damn im already getting better
Excellent as always, and we'll timed as ever.

great tank analogy on the battlefield broken down well for the new HLL player
Just had this game on ps5 and was running like a headless chicken but now everything makes more sense. Great video.
"Dentrimental"
And good lord man, we need even larger brush sizes damn you!
Nice one again Brit!
PS. I feel like you should put the word 'simplistic' in the video title somewhere ;)
I think it's important to note that you need a good frontline even if the push there isn't likely
i wish my scopes would be so clear it seems bugged out to me , its like my crosshairs are vibrating/flickering and makes aiming near impossible
That's exactly the problem that I have that I see everybody slowly moving to the action.. 0:13 what a shot!
Great content dude. Thank you. Simple not simplistic.
Oh man those tracers make the game so much easier in the old version
Hey man great content , one question did they fix the fps drops ?
It happens less, but it still happens
I miss the old g43 sound. sounded like an actual gun instead of popcorn popping like the current one does
Now I just need a tips guide on how to be a sniper class

Good vid! Sadly either a player has creative strategy or not. So many people just won't get it.
new animations are gorgeous

My question is.. How you get that video settings? show us the video settings !
Cause i have everything on EPIC and i see blurry everywhere looool
How to be good at Hell Let Loose: Flanking
how to be good at this genre of shooters: grow up playing RO2/RS and flank the flank, and don't get flanked while flanking the flank.
good stuff brit!
Thanks Andre, hope all is well mate!
TheTacticalBrit everything is fine brotha I’ll be back in your streams soon!
I feel a lot of people would benefit from this
Interesting thoughts! Thanks.
What videosettings do you use? The game looks much better than mine!
Magnifique vidéo belle game hell let loose❤
Awesome stuff! I try and flank a lot with my squads and it's a great way to run disruption.
Do you play on any specific servers? Would be great to see you on the field.
Good stuff
Thanks
Imagine if they put a mortar squad in the game
Artillery is kind of close right now but does not have a specific squad
Are you solo making these flanking moves?
Hey, what settings are you running? Your game looks a lot better than mine even though I'm running very high setting overall in general
I play on Xbox one and I wish this game was on console it looks so cool 😎
on 14:24 i thought, nice tag :-)

i cant even play until update 10 the newest update messed up the optimization even worse for me lol i get like 20 frames per second

How do you make your sniper scope so clear?
The fact you haven max sized 'cortana' on your start bar tells me enough...
I need a guide on how to not drowned in ankle deep water
Why can't my graphics look like that??
This game has bullet physics?
It fucking better......I'm tired of dying!
How is your scope not shaking around? I thought it was a known issue in the game. I almost can’t play as sniper because the scope jumps around like crazy in a glitchy manner.
bro i got 30fps when im scoping
Guide is outdated. It's impossible to put garrison in red sector.
All I want is one thing… TO BE A SNIPER ON HELL LET LOOSE????? BUT NOOO
Ohh man! Thank you very much for this video :) No i understand how to play a lot better. See you all in combat :)
Hell Let Loosse is Call of Duty and Battlefield for grownups.
Hell let loose free weeken 07/18???
Wow, avoid combat and go around the whole map. Why didn't I think of that -_-
only two garrisons that is why you didnt win Garrys win games!!
Go germany, go machine gun and run at them, cleverly, its way to easy to control and dieing doesnt realy matter
This game is so cool but man, the bitching you hear on comms about people not knowing how to play the game is a huge turnoff. At some point new players have to play the game in order to learn.
