Si es salsa, las manos hacen el cascareo del timbal, el pie izquierdo lleva la clave en 2,3 y el pie derecho lleva un obstinato similar al del tumbao del bajo.
tecnicamente si es salsa mi hno jajajaj... si te das de cuenta lleva la base en el bombo y en lapierna izquierda la clave. y en las manos esta haciendo lo mismo que hace el timbal entonces no vale la pena la base que enseña.. pero si es salsa jajajaa

I remember playing this pattern as a child on congas and had got blisters on my hands. One of my favorite patterns to play.

I find that once you have the FEET down pat, and I have that part perfect, My hands can do anything from there. Maybe that helps
