It's been a while since we had a Mario fast food toy video! I had these for a while, but kinda forgot about them. They ended up being cooler than I expected. Thanks for watching!
As a long time watcher of PBG, he's been doing it for his older videos way back when. Tho I'm surprised that he never lost his touch after all these years lol
To be totally fair, though, having a toy on your hand that makes a sound when you tag somebody is a good idea. It stops that little kid argument of "I TOTALLY GOT YOU!" "NUH UH, did not, I didn't feel anything!" Also I'm pretty sure the mallet challenge is to do it back and forth against a wall or up in the air or something. I don't think you're supposed to catch or pick up the ball between hits.
Yeah my thought was like maybe you're supposed to hit it up into the air and then try to flip the hammer and bounce it, and try to keep the ball in the air as long as you can without letting it fall. Though your thing about bouncing it against a wall makes a bit more sense.
I’ve had that Yoshi gripped to my backpack’s handle for the last 18 years! The position of the hands makes it pretty good at holding it! Never lost it..
This is the first one of these fast food toys videos where I actually had those toys as a kid. I remember specifically loving the ball since it was actually very high quality especially for a kid's meal toy.
11:36 Thank you for apologizing and correcting your mistake. I was seriously thinking of unsubscribing and starting a campaign to get you cancelled. Just please don't do it again PBG my heart can't take it.
My guy played the power tennis challenge wrong - you’re meant to bounce it on the top of the mallet and then flip the hammer while the ball is mid-air. (Almost like vertical paddle ball) Love you Peebs!
I remember taking this challenge back when the toys first came out, but 10-11 year old me wasn't very good lol I still have the hammer and DK Frisbee, I like seeing you play with the toys I used to have :)
hey peeberino I think the point of the hammer is you're supposed to bounce the ball up and down on the hammer like a paddleball, and switch sides in between hits for the challenge.
I remember these from when they first released. I was eight at the time so I couldn't always go to McDonald's but I do remember owning the Yoshi with the jingle, the Mario ball and I believe the DK frisbee since I have two siblings. Sadly I don't have them anymore but I'd love to get them back since I went on to be a longtime Mario collector.
I had three of these when I was a kid, the Hammer and Ball, the DK Frisbee and the Yoshi Tag. Yoshi didn't come with any instructions for some reason when I got him so I thought he was just a cool Yoshi-shaped ring that made a sound, but I loved the Hammer and trying to see how long I could keep hitting the ball with it.
The Fact that some of these are pretty big toys and came out of like 5 dollar happy meals or whatever is really impressive, that Yoshi ball toy could be its own toy you'd buy at like target or something. Also these vids keep giving me insight into where some of my childhood toys came from, like that mario ball, I had like 2 as a kid I wish I took better care of them I have no Idea where either are or if they are in one piece, they're like 20 bucks now just for 1. Same thing with the Diddy Kong Wii toy with the spinning arms, had that one but never knew it came with a Wiimote attachment, I was always wondering why it had a slot in the back.
I have to admit it. The gag with the blur in the donkey kong toy just made me laugh so hard i had to pause the video so i could try to get some air and breathe
I can totally see that Yoshi thing with the ball working as a stress thing you keep on your desk. Just tapping the button and catching the ball on repeat seems kinda relaxing.
Never experienced these toys (2005 baby) but it’s great to see what the toys were like and read from the comments how they used to have the same toy. It’s nice :)
I'm a 2004 baby, but I still got to experience some of these as a kid because I just had a bunch of misc. toys in a bin i think i got handed down to me, I had 2 mario balls that have since vanished from existence.
I have the first yoshi one I use to always press his back and listen to music, so when I heard the music it reminded me that I had that one.....thats why I love when u do these fast food toys peebs it reminds me of my childhood I was 5 when those toys came out
Oh my god the nostalgia is real! I used to own that Yoshi, hammer, Mario ball and the Frisbee. They were so much fun to me when I was like eight years old 😁
So you know that articulated Mario figure released by Wendy's in 2004?(I think that was the year) I had that figure for over for over 12 years before realizing that was what it was from. The quality of the figure was so good that I genuinely thought it was a normal promotional item released in stores. Man, I miss when fast food toys were of decent quality.
I think the hammer challenge is that you hit it straight in the air then turn the hammer around while the ball is in the air and hit it again and repeat
Back in the day when I was a kid, I used to hang out at an abandoned junkyard that was next to my house. I was always looking for cool stuff there. And poking out of the dirt was that Mario pinball toy, I dug it out and cleaned it off and to this day I still have it. I also recall playing with that DK Frisbee toy. I actually stole it from someone's backpack lol because they would constantly tease me about not owning one. I lost the Yoshi finger tag toy over the years but I still have the other Yoshi toy just not with the ball which was given to me through a trade I made on my school bus with my old friend. Didn't get the other toys but these were always a pretty solid set from McDonald's.
It's been a while since we had a Mario fast food toy video! I had these for a while, but kinda forgot about them. They ended up being cooler than I expected.
Thanks for watching!
More of these peebs🎉!!!

GOLF SPONGEBOB RETURNS! My boy, I missed him :)
Thank you, Toasty, for censoring Peebs' buldge with good memes.
I was expecting Peebs to fail to juggle but then was pleasantly surprised he could juggle really well
I'm sorry I doubted you Peebs
That's a fair assumption. Juggling is one of those things that's a lot harder to actually do than one would assume by just watching it.
As a long time watcher of PBG, he's been doing it for his older videos way back when. Tho I'm surprised that he never lost his touch after all these years lol
He learned it for the Princess Maker video!
He used the power of ARTHER
4:25 I find it hysterical how Donkey Kong and Yoshi’s renders are from the 2000s, but the Mario render is straight out of the Nintendo 64 era 😂
To be totally fair, though, having a toy on your hand that makes a sound when you tag somebody is a good idea. It stops that little kid argument of
"I TOTALLY GOT YOU!"
"NUH UH, did not, I didn't feel anything!"
Also I'm pretty sure the mallet challenge is to do it back and forth against a wall or up in the air or something. I don't think you're supposed to catch or pick up the ball between hits.
"I TOTALLY GOT YOU!"
"NUH UH, you just pressed it to make it seem like you tagged me!"
My imagined new argument.
I think they meant to see do it front hand then back hand, but didn't explain it very well
Yeah my thought was like maybe you're supposed to hit it up into the air and then try to flip the hammer and bounce it, and try to keep the ball in the air as long as you can without letting it fall. Though your thing about bouncing it against a wall makes a bit more sense.
I got the Mario Ball Toy when it came out and my brother threw it at my face and it hurt.
Core memory?
Hard
At least your brother didn’t throw the Mario ball on your crotch!
This is a prime example of forgetting the ability to duck
I used to have one.
The fact that Peebs can juggle is both surprising and not surprising at the same time
3:10 DOGGO!!! 🐕 This is probably the cutest bit I have seen on this channel!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It highly amuses me that PBG keeps mentioning the Mario ball being good for display and I've had mine on display for over a decade lol
Cute
I’ve had that Yoshi gripped to my backpack’s handle for the last 18 years! The position of the hands makes it pretty good at holding it! Never lost it..
8:50 what a polite looking guest!!!
Turning Mario into weirdly shaped objects is a Fast Food tradition! 😂

Loved the random censor bars! So well placed Toasty!

@@dylanharney8106 a rip in his pants

Toasty missing the Perfect chance to zoom in on a shot of Peebs ripped pants when he said "There's a lot of balls in this video".
😂
The little hardcore intro nod was such a pleasant blast from the past
Agreed! I rewatched the series recently, and still thoroughly enjoyed the entire ride!

toasty editing your pants as if he's censoring something obscene is fucking killing me lmao
I actually did rip my pants without noticing LOL
These are the ones I had. I was so excited at the time
I have a super vague memory of the Mario ball, but not sure if I had it or not?
I still have the Mario ball.
I think the mallet challenge was to bounce it 10 times without letting it hit the ground alternating each side.
I'm assuming the same thing. Like how one might with a tennis ball and racket, but made harder by the hammer's small size.
I use to love playing with the yoshi toy as a kid .
Theres multiple
which one?
the yoshi one@@M.R.Gorilla
I had both Donkey Kong toys
There are two Yoshi toys, dude.
Never heard of this "Mario" guy. Might have to check him one day, thank you Mr. Peebins for bringing him to my attention.
Mario? I've heard of mayro, from the lesser known GOTY nominee Supra Mayro Kratt
I herda Mario, but whaddafack is a Hebby Meel?
I had some of these growing up! The mario ball was probably my favorite one.
I had a few of these as a kid, thanks for the nostalgia

These are the first McDonald’s toys I got as a kid. I was about 4 at the time. Lol
I actually have the cardboard stand for the toys when they came out! Kinda neat seeing them out and about lol.
The Mario head floating off between cuts was award worthy
This man makes the best content ever ❤

I'll be honest... fast food toy reviews were not that fun to watch till you started doing it ❤️❤️❤️
12:31 what the Donkey Kong doin?
🐒🐵🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🗿💀
With the hammer one you’re supposed to hit the ball up in the air and flip the hammer while it’s in midair and hit it with the other side
I feel like I had the hammer. I loved inflatable toys from Fast Food places.
The only Mario pinball merch ever made and it wasn't even on purpose
These toys need to be burned and never see the light of day again. Man these look straight up weird
As usual, the doggies steal the show.
0:18 That animation gave me hella nostalgia
You make my days brighter keep it going sir peebs
I think you use the hammer by juggling the ball in the air with the hammer and switch sides while keeping it airborne
This is incredible!

Yo peebs, theres a sonic drive in mario paper jam set that you should review

I would have done anything for a Donkey Kong fast food toy as a kid, especially if they made any toys based off of DKC2.
Oh imagine a toy based around rattly?
I own the Mario ball because someone gave it to me and so as soon as I saw it I looked over to my Mario ball and said “you were from McDonalds”
Another vid from Peebs! Yes i'm feeling better from last video!
I actually had the hammer and the yoshi ball one. I think I had the spinner too. Good times.
