There's just something about those plug-n'-plays, man. They may basically be gone now, but they're surely not forgotten.
My parents gave us the first SpongeBob controller, and that was quite interesting.
Certain glitches would come up, such as whenever I did the platforming levels (probably the hardest one) SpongeBob would die from the air. It happened rarely, but those levels were frustrating. The “death” sound was something too engraved in my brain at the time.
I only ever got to play them a few times during my childhood. But even so, plug-n'-plays were one of those things that you remember for one reason or another.

Bro I was a major SpongeBob fanatic as a kid. I remember having a sheet set, a comforter blanket with pillow cases, a little night light, and the F U N alarm clock too. The show was a huge part of my childhood. Damn, seeing these give me so much nostalgia
The most horrifying thing I have ever seen is those Spongebob balloons that float menacingly down dark hallways. This, like the popsicles, has also become so infamous that there's multiple videos covering it

@@PolygonDonut omg that's wild, i had no idea the poptarts i ate as a kid are now partly lost media. i definitely don't have an image of them either but i do believe that the silver wrappers around them had the hibiscus patterns seen in the sky etc on spongebob either alongside or replacing the generic poptart logos

I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned but a piece of obscure SpongeBob merchandise I've seen was a SpongeBob shower radio. A friend owned one and kept it sealed. Also, the Spongbob, Squidward and Patrick figures are used for different minigames, i can't remember SpongeBob's minigame, Patrick's Minigame was a memory game where he is having a photoshoot, idk, and (from memory) Squidward had a music based game minigame, i had a lot of fun memories with this laptop.

I used to have this whole pack of spongbob merch I got for my 9th birthday in the early 2000s and it came with spongebob cereal, krabby patty gummies, pencils, and these clear blue cups with a picture of spongebob naked on them. I can't find the cups anywhere online or any evidence of them existing. I still have one of them but the image is mostly worn off.
I legit got the iconic SpongeBob ice cream pops and now they have chocolate eyes, kinda weird but I guess it prevents the terrifying faces we used to see.
