Fun fact: The reason Pez dispensers work the way they do is because they were meant to be an anti-smoking statement. The original Pez dispensers resembled cigarette lighters, and the way the candy was dispensed was meant to imitate flame coming off of the lighter.

As someone who was way too much into the Cars series as a kid, my favorite McQueen die-cast toy was one of the moment where he wakes in the impound lot with a boot on one wheel. There was a boot on the wheel and it stopped it from turning all the way. Absolutely useless as a toy car I love it so much

I had that first alarm clock as a kid. It basically served as an alarm clock for the entire house, because waking up to a blaring alarm and a red light filling the room isn’t exactly the smartest design and rightfully scared the shmit outta me, causing me to scream until someone else came in and turned it off.
We also had the Lightning McQueen CRT monitor in my room, the number of times I rewatched the same Tom and Jerry cartoons and played that blasted SpongeBob plug and play on that thing must have been crazy.
These toy makers had to comb through every frame of these films to find new variations of these characters to make toys out of lol

My brother was OBSESSED with Cars as a kid - a Cars connoisseur, if you will. We had multiple of these products in our house growing up, I definitely remember stealing the V-Tech laptop to play with. To me, the Cars franchise is something I keep in my heart deeply, as an amateur petrol head, even to the point where I watch the first film 5 times in a row! When I was young, I had no idea that there was this much money made just from merch, but when you make a film about cars, you know that big bucks are on their way when the boys see it. 🚗🚗🚗🏎🏎🏎

I have a Lightning McQueen radio just like the one in the video. It's shaped differently though, for starters, it's more car shaped and has all 4 wheels.
There still the eyes that pop up for the CD tray, and the buttons at the base of his eyes. But there are also tuning and volume wheels between the front and back wheels on each side.
There are On/Off and AM/FM/CD switches at the base of his eyes, and the spoiler can be pulled back to put CD's on top of.
Next up cursed Thomas the tank engine merch
This might sound random, but seeing these type of videos make me wish there was one for Finding Dory. It would be interesting, because it had a lot of unique merch and tie-ins that was only relevant for at least two years. Today, they're not that easy to get and are somewhat scarce.
