    The BIG thing noone seems to be talking about is that nearly every mountain with boss spawn WILL have 3 or more eggs on it so you usually wont have to bring eggs from other mountains

    • @SpazzyjonesGaming
      @SpazzyjonesGaming  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah thats very true. Fortunately you don't need to haul eggs across the map

    Another great one! Im going forward chronologically but I think you made the videos in reverse, lol.
    One tip I dont see anyone mentioning; you can actually jump on top of Stone Golems and get a few swings of the Pickaxe directly above their heads before you are “shaken off” or fall down.
    Stone Golems can sometimes hit you depending on their attack, or you could fall down since them walking and you swinging does move you a bit, but if you manage to stay on top you can make quick work on these.
    Also, isnt Mistlands less inviting than the Mountains? I know you freeze if you have no frost resistance, but I feel the topography of the ML + fog makes them a pain and even make some players rage quit.

    • @SpazzyjonesGaming
      @SpazzyjonesGaming  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I didn't do them in chronological order. A bit of a random order to be honest haha. I'm working on the last one in the mistlands right now!
      Yeah I didn't know that you could get on top of them. In my experience they usually have risen out of the ground before I've had the opportunity to jump on top.
      And to your last point about the mistlands bring more unforgiving, I can't say I disagree a whole lot. The mist is a huge pain in the butt!
      Thanks for taking the time for such a thorough comment!

    I must add a detail, killing golems is much faster by using a mace secondary attack, best if you use itt right after a parry for up to 200-300 damage

      nice good one. The golems are one of my least fav creatures to fight

  • @Tangeffect

    I trapped a stone golem inside of stone rock that it broke itself, and then I built a stone prison around it since they only spawn 1 at time. I love how this game and all it's crazy systems

  • @msmichellewinchester
    @msmichellewinchester 4 месяца назад +3

    I find the pickaxe for the golems to be a waste of time that just prolongs the fight. The pickaxe basically has all the downside of two handed weapons without any of the perks (like extra damage or AOE), so the most I use it for are greydwarves when I'm mining and only when I forget to switch to weapon 😂. Unless you have them trapped somewhere where you can jump on their head without being thrown off, just parry the one-handed attacks and smack them with a mace. Much faster. I feel like chasing yellow numbers is not always the best strategy.

    • @SpazzyjonesGaming
      @SpazzyjonesGaming  9 месяцев назад +1

      I think its different for everyone. The swamp is annoying because of all the water being constantly wet and such. The mountains presents its own set of challenges but I see your point. I would say many people would agree with you.

      The mountains are more beautiful imo. You have better sightlines. There are three dimensions to it. There is very little terrain variation in the swamp. Leeches and blobs are tough until you figure out how to beat them (iron mace and poison mead). Archers are overcome with a round shield. I found the wolves to be a tougher enemy than anything in the swamp except the abomination. The combat was more engaging. Also while we are struggling to find frost caves, we were able to find enough silver veins to equip the party of four in a matter of days. Drakes are easy enough with a predictable attack pattern that they make a cool terrain hazard while trying to kill another golem to hopefully get another sweet sweet trophy for wall art (it is the best in the game imo). I love the mountains but the devs need to make more of it. We can't find onions. The prospector shacks need more than amber or gold. The fenrings need better drops to incentivize being out at night (like the chain drop from wraiths that was rare enough we would go into the swamp at night specifically to fight it). And the caves need to be more common. At least half as common as the tombs in the black forest which you only need one or two for the things you need to move on. We have cleared three caves and dont even have a full set of level one fenris armor. And on top of that, for me and other tanky characters, it is very infrequent that mountain creatures pose a legitimate threat. Usually only have to try to survive when i am mining or fighting a drake and get ambushed by two or more wolves. The mountains are however located within other biomes so it isnt as easy as sailing the coast to find sunken crypts or fuling camps. You basically have to commit a lot of time just to find a mountain only to find no onion seed, no frost caves and no golems, only some drakes around an egg nest and some wolves.
      At any rate. Cool video. Do you think the caves are common enough? Is there a trick to locating them?

    not once have i ever been 2 staggered and 2 shot by a 2 star enemy in the caves because i failed a perfect parry....

      Yeah you might be right. What kills you the most in the mountains? I think it's a toss up between wolves and stone golems for me.

      @@SpazzyjonesGaming I find golems easy but due to there beefy hp early on any mistake can be costly. I find wolves the worst to fight due to them running up to you were your view is blocked by yourself to then have an attack that is devastating, only way I can fight wolves with no damage is having to listen for there attack snarl, real shame the mountain has one of the loudest and worst song to listen to when your trying to block via sound ques

    Im sorry... the most uninviting and dangerous? Bwaaahahaha, no. It's a biome you can easily conquer with troll armor xD or root set and decent shield. The only minor nuisance is being forced to make like one batch of frost res mead to get a tiny bit of silver to make a cape (or chest piece). so no.
    The most uninviting one truly is the mistlands with it's nightmarish traversal and utter lack of visibility. Or perhaps the ashlands but let's be fair and not consider them since the vid predates their release.
