Man, this drone has come a long way since it was released. In 2018, it's still super popular because of its low price and awesome features, and DJI still sells the Standard on their website because of it's popularity. Today is my first anniversary with this machine, and it's been so thrilling getting all of the amazing footage over the last year. You can get some awesome deals on this drone, so I highly recommend it if you don't have a drone and want to purchase one.
Yes your right it's the best budget drone I have have own one and it still fly great
2022 been over 6 years since I last flew and it works like it’s fresh out the box after 5 hours of being in its box. Absolute brilliant piece of kit.
It maybe a Chinese owned company but they did are the first Chinese company to not copy anyone and to create something that won't break on you so easily.

It’s a Chinese company and they are good at what they do.
Ready to fly right out of the box??? .......No!!!... Maybe after you:-
1. Fully charge the Phantom battery.
2. Fully charge the controller battery .
3. Bind the controller to the Phantom.
4. Download the DJI GO/Pilot app for your mobile device.
5. Update the firmware.
6. Calibrate the gimbal (if required)
7. Calibrate the Compass.
8. Make sure you have the correct settings applied in the DJI GO app.
9. Fit the propellers.
Then, and only then does this become an Awesome machine. Worth every penny. And it is certainly the best machine for the money. Good job DJI

Just bought the Standard today. My P3 professional was downed by a bird and it's irreparable. I don't use the 4K video all that much but 1080p mostly. So the Standard is a better alternative with the 2.7K HD videos. The range is only 1/2 mile compared to the Pro/Adv of up to 2 miles. Never really flown my drone farther than my eyes can see. So this one's a perfect product for me. Thanks DJI.

Actually the bird was chasing my drone. Then I thought I outmaneuvered it and quit looking at the drone and focused on the video feed on my iPad. Then a few seconds the bird came back. It wasn't a huge bird but I guess it was curious. It probably hit the propeller and the drone shutdown. I heard a gasp fro the crowd and I saw my drone dop into the water.

Biiktor Mandafat I’m not sure I would have got the standard. The wifi communications on the Phantom 2 (and in the stanard 3) seems weak. Both mine & my fathers wifi units went out.. But I can’t really knock it too much. It is an option. Curious to see if they fixed the issue with the internal wifis

I have the Phantom 3 Professional. Let me tell you, this is one awesome machine. I have flown it about ten times so far, and from the first flight, it was easy as pie to fly. Every time I fly, I get better and better. It flies fast, and far, and high. The controls are spot on. I absolutely love it! I'm buying the Inspire 1 soon. I will be flying these things from now on. GET ONE!!!!! YOU WILL HAVE A GAS!!!! One thing though, please be responsible. Different people react differently. I was flying in a huge, church soccer field today, following a big riding lawn mower. The guy mowing got a little miffed at me! I wasn't even that close, so please, respect others, and you will only have positive experiences. They really are worth the bucks. Sorry if I sound like a DJI commercial, but that's just how impressed I am with DJI. I first bought a really small Quadcopter, to learn on. It was crap. I didn't learn anything from it. When I got the Phantom, it was a totally different ANIMAL!
+DJI Will the P3P get the waypoints and other features that this quad has? I have the P3P and love it! film my cows a lot lol.... anyway.. going to be using it (Hopefully If I get permission) to film my ski team at practice to #1 help people get better by following and seeing mistakes & for just a cool shot of skiing. Waypoints would be really helpful in this case,,,,also when I start feeling more comfortable I would love to do some long range flights..again...waypoints would be amazing because I could focus on only the video/photos

magprob the lawn mower guy must never be made to get miffed!! The first thing I'm going to do with my drone is find that lawnmower guy and screw with him till he goes viral!!!

This quadcopter is amazing!I bought it nearly a week ago and I already have 3 1/2 flight hours on it. Its amazing that you can buy this much technology for a low price.

I love this Drone a lot! I use it to make RUclips Videos and i think the camera is very awesome for this price. You can make really nice Videos and Pictures. So i think, for me its the perfect Drone. Thank you DJI.

Austin Jacobs why does everyone think there drone can fly 25 minutes lmao gps is like air conditioning on a car. Most I got out of the 30% left is like 13 minutes maybe just a little under. My inspire 1 lol 10 minutes more than enough.

mrgrinch14 The reason I am hesitant to buy one, is because I live in Singapore, where there a lots of rules and regulations regarding drones. I don't want to make such a huge investment and then find out I can't fly it in the majority of the places I want to.

Tusen Tak. Decided it was time to experiment with a new toy and I opened the box to some intimidating papers. Owned a DSLR for a long time and I've always thought flying was cool but too dangerous to be in. Now I have something to play with.

I'm really looking at this thing - 2 questions (1) on the controls, does it work like a plane - going away turn left (turns left) coming back turn left (turns right) or does it turn the direction of the command??? (2) does it have anything such as GPS locate ( if it goes down out of site, can you find it on your phone) Thank you for any advice, Johnny Anders

I got the phantom 3 standard two days ago it is amazing!
Smash It I got mine 3 days ago and I love it! It's so stable and the footage literally looks like it's straight out of Hollywood, the footage has no vibration or anything! Even in winds the drone is still super stable!
