    I spotted the bad right turn at the beginning, and I think I understand the problem. I think the student was concentrating on the filter lane and stopping at the end of it, without noticing that the turning was before the end. Personally I think that's poor road markings.
    I missed them either scrubbing or mounting the curb, pretty hard to see on the phone, but totally noticed they were creating a hazard by moving with oncoming cars.
