A lot of people don't understand what China's currency swap is. It is like swapping $10 Billion China RMB goods/Services with Argentina predetermine set amount of exports. This way, devaluation wouldn't be an issue because both sides have set agreement. It is more like back to barter system. Now you would ask, what would China do with all the excess foreign currency (Rupee, Brazil.. etc), well China's 17 Trillion dollar economy can easy absorb all other currency trade and redirect all trade from different nations. The US Dollar would not disappear, it's dominance would just diminish over time just like the fate of British Empire Pound sterling. Now let's break down the Rupee currency role. India is a deficit account economy, meaning it spends more than it produce. So when other nations get a hold of excessive Rupees, they would just convert it to other more solid currency such as Euro, USD, RMB. The only way Rupee can escape the depreciative fate is if China would agree and willing to keep Rupees in their Central Bank reserve but that's not likely. Lastly, China would reinvest the excess foreign currency back into original nation as in joint business venture, future developments etc. This way, everybody gets a fair share of the pie and be prosperous.

I don't think China wants to replace USD with yuan as the world currency. It takes many changes in currency control and issuance of bonds that can be traded anywhere in the world. However, the BRICS countries all want dedollarization in support of a multipolar system other than following the US rule based system. Can probably benefit from savings on conversion to USD and reduce the amount of US bonds just in case of a sanction if the US is displeased with you. Putting gold in your own vault is a lot safer than putting your surpluses in the US Treasury

You are missing the point the BRIC countries, "C" for China, are proposing a currency backed by gold not a Fiat currency. The only way to print new money is then to obtain more gold to back up the new ones printed. By the way Fiat is no the "Fix it again tootsie" Italian car.
The origin of the word fiat in English is connected to the origin of the world itself. Taken from the Latin meaning “let it be done,” this word appears in the Latin translation of Genesis, the first book of the bible, when God proclaimed “let there be light” (fiat lux). As a result, many early uses of fiat were biblical allusions, as in John Donne’s 1597 poem The Storm. In it he writes that there will be darkness unless “God say/Another Fiat.”

That is exactly why countries are doing business with China, China has plenty of goodies to export, it is the manufacturing staple for the whole world, and is willing to deal with even faltering economies like Argentina's. The Chinese economy supposedly is only second to the US which has the largest debt of all countries, and trying to "raise the debt ceiling" before it DEFAULTS. The US debt equals the GDP of China, Japan, Germany, and the UK COMBINED!!! China is doing extremely well, it handled the pandemic correctly, it "chose wisely" with its economy barely touched. On the other hand the US IS BROKE, it OWES $31.72 TRILLION, SO MUCH THAT IT must pay $1.3 BILLION in interest payments EVERY SINGLE DAY. Why would anybody trust the monetary system of such a country? The writing is on the wall, and most world countries are becoming aware of it. Meanwhile the Chinese helped many countries during the pandemic, are building infrastructures in third world countries without imposing sanctions or building military bases or instigating coup d'tats, or declaring wars, or stealing natural resources. The greatest most beneficial infrastructure ever attempted in the history of the world is China's Road and Belt Initiative. You know a country is on top when all the lesser countries can only bad mouth it and invent faults with it.

Dollars dominate because they are cheap and everywhere. It costs less to use the dollar than any other medium of exchange. Never forget this axiom: "The buyer sets the price." Forcing an alternative currency on the buyer will raise the price of goods. The buyer looks elsewhere for a better price. This is the buyer setting the price in action. The seller drops the price or faces a loss in sales. Yes, economics is a little more complicated than this (alone). However, this is the root of it all! The dominant currency is not 'forced' by the United States. It is ADOPTED by all the countries of the world because it is cheap and everywhere.
