Inflation hits people a lot harder than a crashing stock or housing market as it directly affects people's cost of living that people immediately feel the impact of. It's not surprising negative market sentiment is so high now. We really need help to survive in this Economy.
I think I could really use more guidance to navigate the market, it is completely overwhelming, I've liquidated most of my assets and I could really use some advice on what best to invest into.
Your best option if you are unfamiliar with the markets is to seek advice or help from a consultant or investing coach. I know it sounds simple or generic, but talking to a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 65% since January. For me, it's the best method to enter the market right now.
@@hermanramos7092 My consultant is‘’Catherine Morrison Evans’’ I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her afterwards. She has since provide entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision. I basically follow her trade pattern and haven't regretted doing so.
As an Argentinian I can say that living with this inflation rate it's very distressing. Knowing that every time you are sleeping your money is getting weaker and weaker.

This administration is putting many families in difficult situations. A lot of people are financially struggling to live, put a roof over their head and put food on the table. Things are getting worse these days, if you don't find means of multiplying your money you might wake up a day to realize you didn't plan well for yourself and family.
You're right everyone needs to have different streams of income, as well as a good profitable investment future. Investing part of the monthly salary in a detailed diversified investment portfolio in the financial markets is needed to survive.

Yes, I have been in touch with a CFP ever since the outbreak. Today, investing in hot stocks is quite easy; the difficult part is deciding when to buy and sell. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my adviser chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.

I live in Argentina, its so hard to make a living here. My employer has started paying me in Mexican pesos as they're more stable and still somewhat accepted in my area. I trade the pesos for USD to barter and trade at local shops. Meats and eggs can easily cost a days work for just a few eggs or a couple pounds of low grade ground beef.
@@july9566 AMLO had nothing to do with it, here in México we have something called "Central bank of México" and its job it's to preserve the value of the mexican peso (As well as some other things of course) this bank is completely autonomous from the goverment, as a matter of fact if the goverment wants to ask for a loan they have to go through the central bank of mexico, if there is a green light there is also a caveat... they (Central Bank of Mexico) are the ones who say how much they can ask for a loan. With inflation running at a four-decade high, the Recession is now the ‘most likely outcome for the economy and I cannot imagine being a victim of circumstances. My portfolio suffered a big hit, holding it further won’t be any good. I've heard of people netting hundreds of thousands this red season. How can I ensure this?
You’re right! Downturns provide plenty of opportunities for regular people to build wealth from the scratch. However, you may need to get some professional advice from an Invest-ment planner if you need an aggressive return.
After my portfolio took a big hit in April, I was forced to employ the services of an Investment-analyst that has not only accrued a profit of $150 thousand for me since then but has also taught me how.

I also work with Laura Marie Ray; she has wonderful ideas, and her signals are really accurate. I was shocked to see her name here. Many new investors have profited from her services. I was able to get my trading losses back with her program.
I've been living in Argentina since 1997. I was here in 2001 when we had our "worst crisis", but things now are horrible. Literally prices rise by the week. I don't see how they're going to fix this, if everything doesn't collapse first.
As an Argentinian myself I can’t say I am not concerned about the country I live in. For as long as I can remember the huge economic crisis has always been a big issue: poverty, inflation and corruption have destroyed a society turning it into a resentful and selfish one where you can only live one day at a time. Yes it is a daily battle but it does make you stronger.
The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?
I would avoid index funds, mutual funds, and specific stocks for the time being. Right now, the best option is a fixed income of five percent. Put money aside for the times when the market really starts to bounce back.
45% of Americans do not invest in the stock market because of lack of guidance. Every year you don't invest, you are falling behind. I’m hitting numbers in the stock market I used to dream of… Going from $50k to $600k in my portfolio is surreal all thanks to insights from my financial advisor.
Your adviser must be really good, I hope it's okay to inquire if you're still collaborating with the same adviser and how I can get in touch with them?

It's hard to predict the future until we see this month’s inflation results. However, historical data consistently show that stocks tend to outperform bonds in the long term. Inflation depreciates idle money. I'm in a privileged position to be able to save almost 65% of our net household income, as I placed it on safer investments. As a Brazilian I'm pretty ambiguous about that. The military regime in my country heavily capitalized on 1970 WC win. Hailed by many as the greatest national team ever but before the tournament the situation was so horrendous at one point they hilariously handed the coaching spot to a sports journalist (it went like "This team sucks!" "Oh really? How about YOU taking the helm?" "We... well, su... sure why not?") Ultimately the squadron clicked in Mexico and as they say the rest is history but that victory obscured a lot of our reality and boosted the dictatorship for another decade. But in the end it's all afterthoughts...
Whats "funny" (in a depressive kind of way) is that to many argentinians this has always been this way. Im 24 and have lived with economic inflation all my life, so to me it is "normal" for prices to double or triple in the span of a short couple years, if not less. To think of living in a place where prices stay about the same and you dont always feel like everything is always so expensive seems crazy to me, because this has always been my life. Even if you're middle class and have a decent life you always feel like the country's economy is constantly on fire and things could go awful bad any minute. At this point honestly I dont even care about "stopping inflation", I don't bother to try and understand the root cause of our economic problems because it all seems so complex and prevalent it feels like its no use. I just hope for us to find a way to fix things so that no person here has to go to bed hungry...

I'm 23, I also lived my whole life like this, I remember buying ice cream for 1 or 2ars, the same that today is around 200ars. We can only hope that someone has the answer, and is able to apply it.
I know Argentina quite well, or at least I can say I know it well compared to the average European. The problem of inflation has been there for a very long time, and the only one who had somehow managed to stop it was the economy minister of the Menem government in the 1990s, namely Domigo Cavallo. However, he had solved it with a forced peso/dollar parity, which destroyed the country's economy and led to its default in the early 2000s. So a cure worse than the disease, and if I mention this person many Argentines will have unpleasant memories. I have come to the conclusion that the inflation problem in Argentina is also due to psychological factors. In my opinion in Argentina there is a sort of disconnection between the true value of things and their price. Even here in Europe (and in Italy) this year we have had an inflation we haven't seen for a long time, but if I go to the supermarket I know more or less how much apples must cost, and if someone tries to sell them to me at €5 a kilo I'll leave them on the shelf (in Italy a normal variety of apple never costs more than €2 a kilo). I have the impression that this has been lost in Argentina, because when inflation becomes endemic you end up accepting everything. And so inflation practically feeds itself. And I am not saying that this is the only cause, but one of the main perhaps yes. You tell me (especially people from Argentina) if I have said something right or wrong. Thanks!
One of many reasons Europe has low inflation is due to demographics and age pyramid. The majority of retired people do not consume as much, therefore it's easier to control the demand side of inflation. That in turn brings many other problems: how to grow the economy with old people, who will pay for retirement of all those people and so on. Argentina on the other hand has a very healthy age pyramid with a ton of young people and children. They consume and spend, so demand remains always strong.
Not all countries in Europe have this demographic problem. France, Ireland, the UK, Sweden, Switzerland have healthy population pyramids and they manage to keep prices stable or raise salaries as inflation goes up, even with big foreign debts.
@@garedmorort average salary in the UK hasn’t risen significantly over the past 20 years. The cost of housing and general cost of living has more than doubled.

I was in Argentina 3 years ago, when inflation was at 50% and the economy had already been dollarized. This has happened to numerous Latin American countries: Ecuador, El Salvador, and Venezuela. The way I see this recession most likely has an external cause. The United States is losing influence as a federal currency for the first time in decades. They don’t have any economies to utilize or control their inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than previously. They all lend credence to the hypothesis that a new multilateral world order may be in the works.

Reasonable? You are not from argentina are you? All those people "protesting" aren't workers, they are demanding free money from the government, they don't work, they also aren't asking for jobs either, they are just demanding free money. Keep in mind these people have never contributed to a pensión or social security fund. They get free money from the government so the government has yo print money to give it to them which causes even more inflation. They are there every day bloking the street, stoping people that actually work from working.
@@Kosme88 you realize you are spewing very basic propaganda designed to turn you against your fellow man rather than to collectively address the problems you face, right?
The Argentina problem is a good example how things could go bad. The inflation is just the thing on surface, and the real reason is the currency rate and the pension. Systematically manipulating currency rate will reduce the pension liability of the government significantly, and inflation is just the result of such manipulation.

After a horrendous 2022, shell-stunned financial backers have misfortunes to recover and a lot to consider, as an expansion report and a pile of different information did close to nothing to change assumptions that the Central bank would probably keep climbing interest rates regardless of whether the economy dials back, And that implies more red ink for portfolios for the principal quarter of year 2023. Argentina has a history of high inflation due to various factors such as political instability, excessive government spending, and monetary policy mismanagement. The government has a history of printing money to finance its spending, which leads to an increase in the money supply and a decrease in the value of the currency, causing inflation. Additionally, the country has experienced frequent devaluations of its currency, which also contributes to inflation by increasing the cost of imported goods. Political instability and uncertainty can also lead to inflation, as investors become less willing to invest in the country, causing a decrease in foreign investment and a decrease in the value of the currency.

The fact that the federal reserve note is the world reserve currency means the United States, particularly the US government, directly benefits whenever there is a currency crisis in other nations. This is because people start exchanging their local currency for dollars thus creating an artificial demand on the supply of dollars. That artificially increases the value of US currency and lowers inflation in America.
Argentinas currency problems are cause 100% by Argentina, look at its history and its own policies. It's not a worldwide Federal Reserve conspiracy, and no technically speaking it doesn't benefit the U.S. so much.
The US benefits, but you have to remember the US economy is $25.7 trillion 25% of the world Total meaning any benefit from these countries means absolutely nothing on a grand scale.

Yes, the official "gov" rate is 185 ARS but, when you buy dollars in Argentina from a National bank (IF YOU'RE EVEN ELIGIBLE FOR THAT), this is, legally and rightfully you get taxed by the government with a 35% and a 40% tax so in total a 75% more money for taxes. Let's say you buy 5,40 US dollars. That would cost you 1000 pesos. To that, you gotta add the taxes which are 40% so 400 ARS and 35% so 350 ARS. If you sum all that up (1000 + 400 + 350) you will end up paying 1750 for those five dollars. Now divide those pesos by those dollars 1750/5,40 and the result is 324. A crash in the stock or real estate markets has less of an immediate impact on people's standard of living than inflation or currency devaluation. That the market is so negative at the moment shouldn't be shocking. If we are to survive in this economy, we need assistance right away. The ETF and stock markets are still quite volatile, just like the property market. Now all that's left of my $370K portfolio is ruins.
Many people are still getting fantastic returns on their investments during this time. Simply maintain a strong sense of reality or ask for professional assistance.
I prefer to seek the advice of financial consultants when making my daily investment decisions, especially since their expertise is focused on short- and long-term holdings for profit realisation and because of their specific research, it is almost difficult for them to underperform. I've been investing with my consultant for just over two years, and during that time we have already generated sizeable net profits.
I've shuffled through investment consultants and yes, they can be positively impactful to an individual's portfolio, but do your due diligence to find a coach with grit, one that withstood the 08' crash. For me, ‘’Salvatore Fortunato Sofia” turned out to be better and smarter than all the consultant I ever worked with till date, I’ve never met anyone with as much conviction.

Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.
I agree. I have pulled in more than $435k since 2020 through my advisor. It pays off more in the long run to just pick quality stocks and ride with those stocks.

Here is the REAL problem in Argentina's economy: Foreign businesses like Carrefour (supermarket chain) invade Argentina and put supermarkets all over the country. Then, after they make billions off dollars take their profits OUT of Argentina and back to France. Then the Argentinian government is forced to print more money to make up for the money taken out of the country. That causes the money to lose value when ever any government is forced to print more money. At the same time, thousands of Argentinian mom and pop shops are forced out of business because big companies from other countries open up shops in Argentina such as McDonalds, Malls, and other chain stores. That is the main problem in countries like Argentina. If all the money made in Argentina remained in Argentina, then more local businesses would continue to succeed and more Argentinian currency would be in the hands of Argentinian people and not in the hands of foreign companies from The United States and Europe. But, this actual fact is rarely reported on any kind of social media.
These are the moments I wish I could just send things that are easily obtainable to another country for people who say they are struggling to do it but then it becomes I'm not rich I can't send them a little lifeline and then they're expecting to be reliant on me to continue helping them and I can't afford to do. dang even when you're considered middle class and you still still feels too poor to help other people. I'm probably teo missed paychecks away from the street. There are way too many excessively wealthy people in the world for anybody on this planet to be struggling even just a little bit and it just blows my mind to think about
in places like philippines they use a thing called Gcash, which can be sent thru walmarts money website. it goes to their phone, and they send it to people who are selling things at the lil sara sara stores.
Hahahah do you really thinks this is a representation of what living in argentina is? How people still believe in vice. For instance inflation rate was almost 100% but the salaries went up to almost 90% and in some industries like transport and commerce they get a 110% raise. Argentina produce a lot of food, can provide food for 200 millions while being only 47
Respectfully, thats really not a solution like in Latin America its not thats there is not sugar or milk, you go to the supermarket and everything is in thr shelf so what people need are economic solutions even when money is sent of course it helps but its not that impacful like the problems are of another nature.
Not to worry, they still have 'stuff'. Just looking at this video it seems everything still chug on. No riots, clean street, electricity, bustling business, people still drive (meaning they still have money to buy petrol, very expensive commodity) etc.
Feel sorry for brits, americans and western europeans in general, middle class educated people who can't afford heating fuel, gas, medicines and staple food any longer with ONLY 10% inflation rate. Here in argentina 100% inflation looks monsterous from outside, but it's merely a normal figure, I'am 50y old I experienced two hyperinflations, two bank runs with 90% of deposit confiscation. So for us 100% is just a normal incident and life goes on.
@@hernanmigliori1913 here's an example of why Arg is as it is. It's not normal, it's a catastrophe, young people are massively migrating. What destroys us is that we let them screw us over. A community that's asleep... The frog in the slowly heated water...
The US Federal Reserve estimates that about 50% of US bills in circulation are outside the U.S. As seen in this video, the US dollar is the functional currency in many nations experiencing economic turmoil.

I am from Serbia, we had a hyperinflation in 1993, the third highest ever recorded in the world's history. So this is nothing, how it can be, but I can relate to the people of Argentina.
My question is why doesn't the normal solution to inflation work in Argentina? I just saw that they raised the interest rate to 75%. That should have caused a massive depression and inflation should have tanked. Why hasn't that happened?
Developing nations tend to be super dependent on imports. And in order to import stuff, you need to pay in the currency of the country you're buying from. The only way for Argentina to get the foreign currency they need to pay for the imports is to print massive amounts of their own currency and exchange it for the currency of the nation they're buying from, this causes massive downward pressure on the value of their currency
@@2011blueman They are considered a developing country due to their economic weakness and lack of monetary sovereignty. Simply selling more than you buy does not make you a developed country. Argentina has to limit what it buys from other countries for the reasons i mentioned, it's simply too difficult to get the foreign currency reserves necessary to import things

If/When we lose that status... Man we are F*ed!!
Argentinas currency problems are cause 100% by Argentina, look at its history and its own policies. It's not a worldwide Federal Reserve conspiracy, and no technically speaking it doesn't benefit the U.S. so much.

Meaning you just payed 1 dollar for 324 ARS.
So the official rate doesn't mean that's the actual price you pay.
When it comes to eligibility, you can't buy dollars if you have made any purchases abroad on a trip. You'll have to wait perhaps three months till you become eligible again.
If you ARE eligible, congrats! you can buy a maximum of 200 USD a month! Which means the rest of your money will devalue and will serve for nothing.

Here is the REAL problem in Argentina's economy:
Foreign businesses like Carrefour (supermarket chain) invade Argentina and put supermarkets all over the country.
Not to worry, they still have 'stuff'. Just looking at this video it seems everything still chug on. No riots, clean street, electricity, bustling business, people still drive (meaning they still have money to buy petrol, very expensive commodity) etc.
Send them intelligence and bravery, that's all mismanaged countries need.
We are at 240% now
😂😂😂
time to migrate to other country
why a 'rich' country has this inflation is a shame.
Don't cry for me Argentina . Dont worry I will not
In Hungary there was 40-50% inflation on food in ~6 months. I wonder if this is where we are headed if nothing changes :(
funny you should say that
i just farted
they will be hungry
Situation in Turkey is very similar to Argentina.
This is very sad. I feel so sorry for these people.
Get Bitcoin. Hold your wealth in Bitcoin. DONE! Inflation don't matter to you anymore.
The US Federal Reserve estimates that about 50% of US bills in circulation are outside the U.S. As seen in this video, the US dollar is the functional currency in many nations experiencing economic turmoil.
there needs to be some sort of moderator in these comments.
PEOPLE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE INVESTOR/BROKER SCAMS CLAIMING TO MAKE YOU PROFITS.
Every corner of the world suffering from this Venezuela, turkey, Iran, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka.... How long before those sci fi future movies come true and society collapses?
#Bitcoin fixes this
I am from Serbia, we had a hyperinflation in 1993, the third highest ever recorded in the world's history. So this is nothing, how it can be, but I can relate to the people of Argentina.
This is what happens when you prioritise your national football team over economy.
there's zero correlation between those two things
Wow America is so dependant on Celebrities nobody thinks of Community support
My question is why doesn't the normal solution to inflation work in Argentina? I just saw that they raised the interest rate to 75%. That should have caused a massive depression and inflation should have tanked. Why hasn't that happened?
Developing nations tend to be super dependent on imports. And in order to import stuff, you need to pay in the currency of the country you're buying from. The only way for Argentina to get the foreign currency they need to pay for the imports is to print massive amounts of their own currency and exchange it for the currency of the nation they're buying from, this causes massive downward pressure on the value of their currency
@@grimaffiliations3671 Huh? Argentina has a trade surplus and isn't a developing nation. Try again.
@@grimaffiliations3671 The fact that they have a trade surplus completely negates your reasoning and comment. You're talking out of your ass.
@@2011blueman Do you know what a trade surplus is?
Given the current state of the economy, I've noticed that my portfolio has been stagnant this year despite having invested in good companies. I have a reserve of approximately $700k that I'd like to see grow. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can adjust my investment strategy in light of the recession to improve my portfolio's performance? I appreciate any insights or advice you can share.

at first i went "wow asking yt for financial advice?" and cackled, opened the comments and im so surprised and delighted to see legit answers. i lost my savings due to cancer treatment and lost several jobs due to covid and riots (the pharmacy i worked for got burned to the ground) i also take care of my 74 year old father who is currently a cancer patient, again...for the 4th time. ive just only recently been able to be maybe half as physical as i was prior to cancer myself and its been such a bother/panic attack thinking "how am i ever going to build myself back up to a decent point of my life financially" while i had days which i considered productive if i had the energy to take a shower for myself but now that i can actually potentially handle a full time job; with the right work and schedule and due to my fathers health slowly starting to improve... i cant wait to be back in a position to invest and feel like i have a future in my hands again. thank you for the question and solid advice fellas. feels good to see theres some decent people on here. hope the best for you Dennis!
Richer are become richer and the poor are getting poorer:: the middle class is screwed…. 😢
Argentina never really had a middle class to begin with.
