    I sent my shifter to Dan for a rebuild. The quality and workmanship is just outstanding
    The shifter works outstanding cannot wait to finish the car. Super great guy to work with. By far the best on these shifters

    Absolutely the best of the best...
    The buying experience was super easy and Dan is awesome to work with. Now to the shifter! When it arrived it was packaged well and as described. I installed it in a 1975 Nova and was told by many that I would need to get rid of the bench seat as the bench seat would be in the way of shifting into reverse. After installing the shifter and cutting the tunnel about an inch toward the driver side and two inches back toward the rear I was able to get the shifter bolted up to the transmission, connect the linkage (without having to make ANY adjustments) and the shifter does indeed go into reverse without any issue from the bench seat. Upon completing the installation I took it for a test drive and let me tell you, I have NEVER had a shifter that shifted so smooth! Very pleased with the buying process and the product that Dan creates. You can tell that he loves his craft and what a craftsman he is! I highly recommend that if you are in the market for V-gate to purchase one from Dan as I can't imagine ANYONE being disappointed.

    W/O a doubt, the best stick shifter ever invented. And still being copied today. Bought one in 74 for my 66 goat, (for 75 bucks "new", from Honest Charlie), drove it on the street and strip for over 10 yrs. Threw "many" powershifts, and only missed 2 shifts. (Both times, from 1st to 2nd, for some reason, hit the neutral slot...hard). These things are bullet proof, and is much better than the Ram Rod. If I could find one reasonable, I would build a car around it. Nice job on the linkage on this one. Hope you got what you want for it.

      Funny you say this. Had a 65 tri-power GTO in the 70s, to 80s, and the car got stolen one night. Found it less than a quarter mile away on the side of the road, nothing broken, same amount of gas. (this was 1981) Guarantee some kids stole it, and didn't know how to shift it. Probably were in 3rd and 4th the whole time. LOL

    Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but do you connect this to a manual transmission or do you have to completely replace the transmission with this?
    I have a car with this shifter attached and I would like to switch it back to a standard H-pattern shifter so do i have to completely replace the transmission or just remove some parts and install some new ones?
    Thanks for any and all help.

    • @haynuzband
      @haynuzband  Месяц назад

      This shifter bolts onto your transmission. The transmission can remain in the car.

    So how does it do for driving on the Street? Do you always have to raise the lever up to go to first n sec? I'd like to have one for when I race but kinda seems like it would a pain in the city
