Bought one of those vertigate shifters in 1977 for my 67 400 4-speed Firebird which I still own today the reverser is welded on also. I had that shifter on that car for about a month kill three good Muncie 4-speed, took that piece of crap off, put a good hush super shifter great shifter never look back.
Just need the stainless steel tube and ends , I can make them myself , Been a Mechanic for 40 years ! Got Chevelle , Nova and Camaro all with 4 speed trans .
After my father passed i pulled his 67 malibu out. As i dug around i found a mister gasket vgate. So badly wont to put it in because i know have it moving on it own power but lack of info has me waiting. Definitely subscribed in hopes to learn more !
Thanks for the info, I found one of these in an abandoned barn and wondered how it works.
wanna sell it?
I had that same trans and shifter in my 67 SS Chevy Chevelle.
I took one just like this out of my '67 El Camino! Gonna put in a Mr. Gasket V Gate.
