Just to recap: Bass 1 and 2 marched SCV 15', Bass 3 Scouts 15', Bass 4 & 5 Bluecoats 15' (Bass 1 & 5 respectively)
bass 5 marched bluecoats 16 as well. he techs at my school as well as bass 2. If you peep the infinity trailer in the back... the lion on it is my school. actually bass 5's lil bro is bass 1 at my school.

I also want to set the record straight and remind anybody that says if they sound sloppy, one of the top bass players was recovering from a thumb injury. He still had a metal finger nail stitched to his thumb.
It was so uncomfortable to play. It was moving around every time I hit the drum. No fun.

Anyone has any idea why bass 3 makes that weird sound every time it's played?
My school had the exact same line and ours did the exact same noise. We initially thought it was something related to the carriers we used (randall mays) but after using them on stands the noise persisted. Our 28" did the same noise but all other basses didn't.
On the bass drum clips on the metal part you hit for rim clicks there are sometimes loose screws and tightening them fixed that problem for me
something is wrong with bass 3's claw I think, and it's annoying but I love it
