I think we can all agree: Basses->Tenors->Snares. . . . . Before y'all snare were better, they play one drum bruh XD, tenors played pretty clean while traveling across the set of drums.
That also corresponds to the length of each note played, the number of notes played, and the number of people playing at once. Make of that what you will 🤫
Although I like the sound of the snares, I think the tenors nailed it. Being able to do it without looking down to make sure where they are hitting is a deciding factor with many rims in the way, where snare and bass, there's only one. Bass second because it's multiple people playing separate parts in unison. Snares 3rd, even though there's multiple people, they're all playing the same thing. Not that any one section was better than the other, they're all amazing, but it's the difficulty of the challenge to over come to play the part that takes my decision.
@@desertcoliseum that’s what I thought. You never marched. But you feel like you can come on my channel and put down these hard working kids to make yourself feel like you are better than them. Hell, I marched and I know I’m not better than these kids marching today. Truth is, even when Blue Devils finish 3rd, they’re still better than me, you, and nearly everyone else on the planet at what they do. Have some respect or take a hike.
Blue Devil's bass drummers are some of the best this year!
along with cavies :D
Gotta watch Bucs...
Yo legit! I noticed the basses in another video, the tone/tuning is insane and their splits are butter
It’s like that every year
“The unisons are flams”
"The unisons were flams"
Tony Baker voice: DAAAAMMMM RUUUDYY.
"Is this that dr. peppa?" lol
SHOTS FIRED
Quads, gold; basses, silver; snares, bronze. Scott: legend
Quads had quotes from the 2014 feature in there, at the end. Lovely.
Tenors #1, Bass #2, Snares #3. ✌🏽
Tenors all the way...signed, former tenor dude! 😎
Scott, you never age!
I love this part of the lot. It's always so much fun and gets the crowd involved. :)

The Bass drums for me but they are all incredible. I love the energy of the crowd as well.
I love that it says conest on the thumbnail
5:42 Buggaduh Hand-to-Hands are f***ing crazy!! 😫🔥🔥
"what's a flam?" 0:23
It's something that drummers play.
😭
Is the snare line all new? Perhaps the video, but no one seems familiar, from last year.
@@thomashelm6931 there’s 4 vets. center is from 2023 and there’s 3 from 2022
@@calvinmanalo5096 thank you!
Bass drums are on 🔥🔥🔥
I’ve got to see my Blue Devils again!!👏🏾👏🏾
Flam drag city as Tom Float used to say!
Bottom bass with the Cheeses!!!😮
Ladies and gentlemen…Scott Johnson or we say and he prefers: SCOJO😎😎😎🥁🥁🥁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
I see Alex Blake in an olive sweat suit next to Ivan Pacheco.......... Awesome guys right here
TENORS!!! 🫳🎤
TENORS - BASES- SNARES

Amazing for this early season show.
Early season dirt.. they will clean up, not sure about Rudy’s mustache though 🙈
Who's Rudy?
Tenors, bass, snares
You are correct
That ending 3:14 sounds kinda like "shake hands with the beef". Pretty awesome
Damn I guess I'm not needed... 2:20
For the algorithm. 🤙
THE BUS TAPES
Maybe it’s because I’m a tenor player but the tenors were super clean. !!! They all were. The entire battery is clean as a whistle
Anybody have the quad part for this flame exercise/shopping spree
Sounds like June :-)
Exactly! Bass splits were awesome but no flams.
Being a quad player for bd is a bitch!
Tenors al day
Basses all the way
Basses FTW
I mean snares have 9 people so you gotta give them credit
Nah, Tenors have 6 drums each, so it's as hard as 30 snares. TRUE and REAL.
Top bass is almost playing the bottom bass as well
cymbal
Tenors > Bass > Snares
The tenors clearly won this lmao
They got something against sleeves?
Tenors absolutely nailed that.
What is a flam contest? Is it short for flamboyant? Is it similar to flan?
Naaahhhh. Tenors all day!!!!
yeah bass
Dang snares get in trouble? No stands🤓?
Carpe Diem everyone! Kinda dirty snares. Finals are Aug 10 so help each other get cleaner!
They usually start dirty and get clean by finals, least that seems to be the trend for about 15 years
@@rifle2563 OK, I hope so. I would have been worried when I was in the line in the 80s:-) Float would have watered it down LOL.
@@jamesonearth8331 lol! Yeah it's been working out for em, plenty of dci gold medals since 07
id say tenors honestly. bass stuff was cool but slightly dirty, same with snare, tenors really sounded great
Sextuplets/tenors won
Bass line
Tenors
Did they stop using System Blue? Why?
they went out of business (and they sound bad)
how is it so clean i don't get it
Tenors 1
Basses 2
Snares 3
Plus the last unision repetition... mehh
But he... we can all f-up some times
Dragging in the unison rep
LOL
Sup loopy grandma
coming from a snare drummer.. tenors, basses, snares.... lil dirt on the snare part but coulda just been a bad run
Why do the far right quads drums look so big?
tenors had most flams most clean
bass sounded amazing but no flames
snare was mud many mistakes no unison
Is it me or do snare drummers get dirtier as drum heads get softer... Whats the deal?
Snares were bare minimum “meh”
Bass shouldn't have won because of that stupid west coast technique. And that snare line is meh.
What is west coast bass technique

Someone way better at their instrument than you’ll ever be

Did the bass drummers dirty by recording through a potato microphone.
