Except for the color combo and the crappy looking bucket seats. Those side bolsters are way too narrow and way to high. Theyre uncomfortable as all get out.
That is a beautiful truck! The only thing that would make it better is if it was a 4 door long bed! I dont know if ford made one but that would be sweet!
I understand where he's coming from on the modern 5.0 swap, but people have been building reliable high horse power 351w based strokers for 20 years atleast. They are reliable and trouble free with a modern fuel injection system, and not too terribly hard on the wallet. Yes the supercharged Coyote ultimately makes more power , but I figure he's got atleast $15K in that engine and supercharger alone (not including the 10 speed trans). Way more than the average guy wants to shell out on his old project truck. I'm also not a fan of blaring supercharger whine. That said, I love this truck and they did a fantastic job on it! Just jealous of the deep wallets I guess haha
He probably wanted a crate engine and not something he'd have to build, parts will also be readily available for this 5.0 coyote for a very long time yet. I do agree, I wouldn't want to listen to the supercharger all the time either
for me, its more about gas mileage. I love my 460, but if I had the money to swap a coyote or even an Ls, I would. So much better on gas and can produce just as much power.
@@charlesramsey7847 Any fuel saving would be minor. A supercharged Coyote isn't exactly fuel thrifty. Besides, think about all the fuel you could buy with the extra 10 to $12k you'd save by skipping the Coyote swap
@@edjackson4389 if money wasn’t a factor in this conversation and we were strictly talking about fuel. you would definitely notice a difference. the supercharged coyote gets about 18mpg in a truck that size, the 460 gets 7mpg…
Stupid question...where is the battery now??? It's been relocated. I don't recall seeing it in the engine bay. That is a dream truck!!!! I only wish!!!
Love your work and definately not trying to bash your train of thinking but I been working on and "building" these trucks long before a "coyote" was ever dreamed of. If you can't build a "reliable" big block with a blower to over 650 at the wheel please just stay with the coyote stuff.
I agree with this! After my recent purchase I have to add the 6.0 model F250s. Minus the head gasket, and other small engine issues. I have completely fell in love with this truck. Can’t wait to start restoring my ‘76 F150 SCLB!! I’m pumped.
thing is... you can find any old ford big block for little to nothing in someone's barn and build it... a coyote motor isn't in most of our budgets haha
You do know the coyote was also what the F150s had in them right? Slight differences between the two, but nothing extreme. This motor, especially with the supercharger is more than enough for this truck. He also tells you, that if you were to chain the truck, it would probably spin all 4 tires!!! This would probably gap a lot of diesels on the road!!
We'll see if that coyote is still around and functioning in 50 years. People love the old big blocks for the same reasons people love the old trucks - mechanical simplicity, longevity, and diy-ability.... If you love the modern tech so much why don't you just buy a new truck?
That truck is perfection.

Nice ride
I would kill to have that sitting in my old ford, maybe one day
the storage box on the side of the bed is such a needed option + cool design wish more trucks would have em'
That truck is perfection 👍
Beautiful truck
Nice looking truck 👍👍
Man thats one good looking 76 F150 4X4 brother.
Love the truck. Good color's and good looking interior as well what more can you ask for.
That's one fine truck would love to have one sitting in my driveway 😁
Phenomenal job.
awesome truck
Damn that is one sweet ass truck
Wow! My next ride!

Ford made a 4 door long bed. But they were only available in 2wd.
They've been made for sure. Look what the Diesel Brothers build!
@@Twizztify made in 4x4 also
jakestoe only the short beds! If you see a 73-79 crewcab long bed 4x4, it’s not factory.
In Florida back then the joke for the double cab was. What's yellow and black and sleeps six? Fl. D O T work truck!

cool video Sol Is Golddust getting a new interior now?
Insane 😁

I'll be moving my battery to underneath the passenger floorboard. My 56 f100 is like that.
Is this build over 6 figures on the F150? Great video...
yes it is and thank you
How is hooking up a 10 speed to a married Transfer case?
Have you ever thought about 6.7 cummins in one of those f 150 Fords?
I had a 76' F-350, long bed, 4x4, 460, 4 speed
It was an x forestry truck, $2,500
Whats up with everything havent black wheels nowadays? What happened to chrome?

I would trade my mint condition 2013 f150 super crew fx4 for this 76 in a heartbeat!
How big tires/ rims/ lift?
It looks like 35's on 18 inch rims with a six inch lift on those old F-150's. Hope this helps. With the way they set it up it looks like a Highboy.
This truck is honestly perfect! What size tires guys?
I think I heard them say 35's
30s, 40s, 70s Fords were in my eyes the best design years. Throw in 80s Super Dutys.

It’s awesome other option one be a supercharged Godzilla
I've been contemplating replacing my Triton 4.6 liter motor on my '08 Ford. What would a coyote motor cost under my hood?
My 4.6 is slow as crap
Modern engines don't hit the same way. They have lots of power but it doesn't give you that old-school feel.
They look better with period correct steel wheels and stock hubcaps.
Vintage look tires like the Firestones that had the tractor V lug look.

I have a 76 f150 4x4 with a fe390. I like mine better. Even if the 390 doesnt have 450 hp.
Looks nice I givehim that but that motor way to small for that heavy ass truck

I hear you on that. But the new trucks dont have soul in my opinion. these classic trucks do.
Ya your clueless kiddo
@@dieseldabz7104 hows that?
@@FordEra Exactly mate.
I agree
If you don't like the smell of gas. Then you don't deserve a truck.
Really trying to sell them Coyotes aren't ya?
doesnt matter to me. I like them but I have a 5.9 Cummins in my 70.
With enough money anything is possible. Nice truck but can't stand any longbed trucks tbh. Betting this truck was $125K easy.
