I remember watching this song in 5th grade and I asked my mom if I could play violin...8 years later I've still been playing and can play this song and many more! Thank you for the music ❤❤❤ life-changing!
looking at this, I imagine this being a conversation spoken through the first love of two lucky souls. they finally see that they were made for each other, and want to prove this to their parents. So instead of using words, they conduct this masterpiece of love, to express the fact that though this world is a big place, there is always someone out there who can truly make it an ever so delightful wonderland for the lucky one who receives the other. through the peaceful gliding of the strings, the steady beat of the two hearts conjoined, and the serenity felt through it all, the parents are able to see that just as they too found their true love when they were younger, the next generation is now able to experience the ever so delightful bliss that can only be enjoyed with that one true love that makes life stand still. And from that moment on, the two lovers decide to make this "their" song, naming it "are you my kindred spirit?". every anniversary they have, every time their hearts unite just as their eyes did on the first day they met, they play this song. And when the time comes where their journey on this earth concludes to an end, and they must meet each other in the next life above, this song will be harmonized at their departure, as remembrance of what true love is really about.

I have rarely heard of such sad but beautiful music, beautifully nostalgic ... The harmony of the strings arrangement version is tragically beautiful. I m almost moved to tears. I often play the piano version by myself ... So envy strings musicians.

I just read a book where on one the main characters plays the violin in an end scene. It's a very emotional book and every time I hear this peace a cannot help my self, I sob hard. it's just beautiful and exactly what I imagine jem's violin would sound, thank you

Contrary to your idea, I think that the vibrato is too much closed and also it is always the same type of vibrato during the whole performance. So, it is possible to find other violinists who have a better vibrato.

I just love the feeling you get when you hear an amazingly beautiful melody. You know the feeling where you heart seems to elongate a beat, and your hairs rise on end as if wanting to dance to what's been heard? I love that feeling, and I got that listening to this a few seconds in.
