I'm having a problem getting the spring load right and cable don't know where I need the arm set or how compressed the spring needs to be but I sure wish you would have showed that part or do you know a link I can look at to see how?
I have a HRA215 and it appears the pin has fallen out, which holds female cable/shaft onto the male shaft of the transmission? Not sure if self drive unit works, wonder if I can try a cotter pin in its place to see if drive unit works? any chance someone has lnk for pats so I can order pin? Thanks
It was thick black oil. In the video and in the notes I refer to another video done by someone else that shows how to change the oil in the transmission once you removed it.
You just changed the oil in the transmission, nothing else. I saw the doublewide6 video you refer to. Debating doing it to mine. It has been great for 40 years. Hate to throw it away. Thanks.
Got my old HR214 all apart and the transmission was totally dry. No oil, no gunk, nothing. Just very dry and stiff and the top gear had a little rust. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it all back together.
Thanks for giving me the courage to fix this, and I just got it done.

Do you think it’s possible to loosen up the nuts on transmission with it still in place? Then just feed some oil in there? Maybe not..
Hi, any idea where I can buy oil seals for the input shaft on these 2 speed transmissions ? Mine is leaking.
Thanks Jason

Mines transmission works alright but the ends where the wheels are attached are toast. I think it'll be easier to just replace the whole transmission.
What did you encounter inside your transmission? What did you do to fix it? Thanks.

Mine is over 30 years old and still running strong.

@@johnmontana18 Good luck!
I can’t even get the bolts off on the wheel... driving me crazy
I feel your pain. I had to actually cut the bolt head off one side then drill the rest of the bolt out. Don't know why it seized up.
I got mine off with an air ratchet or an cordless impact gun. The shock of air or battery power breaks the stuck situation loose.
I held shaft from turning with vise grips.
