I believe a lot of them are decent dressers, just not the ones that actually post on there. From what I’ve seen, the most confident, put together people don’t even post QCs as they dgaf about minuscule flaws. Basically, the most insecure people tend to dress the worst, and there are a lot of insecure people on that subreddit. They try to use their logo heavy clothing to supplement their non-existent self esteem and boost their status in their social hierarchy. It all makes sense when you realize most of the people on there are highschool kids, who care about that sort of stuff.
Retail clothing will always have the chance of having flaws so if you’re scared of a neck tag being 1cm too close you shouldn’t be wanting to drape yourself in $1500 resale outfits that will attract attention
I’ve been working on ways to fix that, however it’s tough because a lot of people don’t have common sense and just assume I’m hating on everything... it’s best if I just cover my ass in advance
In middle school, I used to be repfam. I wore bogos, off whites and skinny denim. But over time, I got tired of the flashy clothes, and developed my own style. Its still developing, but I think that since I had all the clothes everyone talked about, I in a way, found how to look pass the hype and look for my own style. So I have one thing to thank fashionreps for.

iCleanUp there are quite a few actually decent fits. They’re few and waaay far between lol. Everyone on that board flexes fake clothes, it’s the entire point of the subreddit..
jordan. I know it’s the point of the subreddit but you basically didn’t even read my comment lol... the good fits aren’t going to be posted there, they’re going to be posted on actual fashion pages where people can’t tell the difference at all
at the end of the day, regardless of whether your fit is made of retail or reps, personal style should come way before hype, some of the fits you showed reflected that fairly well, and ofcourse plenty were hot hypebeast garbage. self expression & style > clout and hype no matter what. awesome video!
I'm definitely glad I evolved to buy things only when I like them. Sometimes that does mean buying a mildly hype piece here or there, but again it's because I like it and it fits within my wardrobe rather than the hype surrounding it
Even when I got heavily into fashion, I swore to myself to never wear a hype top and hype shoes, because I always thought it was a douchy thing to do, and as you said, it doesn't necessarily go well together.
2 years later and everything you've said still holds up. We buy all this fake stuff and have the style limitations of an 5 year old that was allowed to pick his own outfit for school
I am a member and buy my a lot of r/fashionreps. It all started because I started at a private school with a bunch of rich kids. I felt like I didn't fit in with them because I didn't have the money for all of those logos. fashion reps help me a ton with confidence. After about a half of a year I went op for me it wasn't because of the logo is was happy. it was because I actually cared about myself. so recently I started buying a lot of basics and trying to avoid logos as much as possible. but I think it was a great way to get started even do most of my early outfits where cringe as fuck. I still use It to pick of the piece I like because I don't like spending a lot on clothes.

Honestly I was a huge FashionReps addict back in high school, I still have some pieces I purchased from there but I totally agree on the cool shoes cool shirt philosophy. I’m honestly still a sneaker head at heart but transforming into a more matured style version of myself I only see myself coming to the subreddit to find some shoes appealing, as their quality nearly the same. A lot of designer pieces are tempting though, as being a college kid it’s tough to dish out hundreds on a piece where I can get one with similar quality that doesn’t have a logo slapped on
You can make a video about the ‘’new Hype” like chrome hearts Rick Owens raf ... I know people wore it years ago but it feels like right now it’s the new hype but at the same time most of this people think they are gods
itsNinoo I love ricks bought my first pairs of ramones but chrome heart’s is soo boring to me nothing that special and over hyped leading to over priced items
Skater here, so I’m a big fan of a cool shirt, jeans, and nice shoes. The shoe brands are usually different from stuff like this obviously. And I tend to avoid super popular brands for shirts, there’s a lot of options out there, and people comment on them a lot, so I’m happy with my choices. I have bought a couple fake shirts over the years 25 is a lot better than 300..
It’s 2022 and fashionreps is at over 800k. It’s only getting bigger and still just as bad. As someone who’s ordered reps (mostly sneakers) I find it kind of sad that people are so desperate to flex stuff that they can’t afford. It seems pointless to have a fake Moncler jacket or $15 rep Balenciaga tee but I guess for many young people it makes them happy…Most if the rep stuff sold is not the same, doesn’t look as good or hold up nearly as well. It ends up not looking as good, even if you’re unaware that it’s a rep. Many times it does look cheap or the fit is just not right.
Please educate us. If you consider that matching shoes with a top (not talking logo but color) is not stylish what would you recommend instead? Also im not talking about matching the OW AJ1s Unc and the Bogo on the first pic, this is awful. But I personally think the Triple S in that colorway was fine with the jacket he was wearing however i dont really like the polo underneath.
