your first idea (the idea of starting with past papers), is LIFE-CHANGING.
thank you, it's exactly what I needed to hear.
So glad you found it useful!! It's honestly not talked about enough, using past papers to scope each subject is honestly so helpful :)
this is sooooo much better than all the THOUSANDS of videos i have watched ,. it helped me guide on how to prepare even though i have 3 months left
Aww that is so sweet
1 month is left, any progress??
@@no-cw2nl UMMMMM it's going good I am mostly done with my first set of revision going to start fill in the small gaps in a few days this our last week of mocks and classes so I have been lagging a bit as I have to go from places to places for class
I have 1 week
@@ryanpierre263 UCANDOIT! Try active recall. Write everything u know about every topic on a page, recheck it, fill in the gaps and do it again until u can recall all required information!
The thing I like the most abt your videos is that you go straight to the point without wasting much time. and these tips are actually quite helpful. I have my Igcses coming up in a few months so I def needed these. Thanks for sharing

Hiii this video is just amazing! also i want to ask which are the 10 subject you did ? I already find it tough with only 8 subjs 😭
TIP FOR POMODORA TECHNIQUE:
RUclips has tons for different time lengths, I normally use 45/15 ones or 50/10 ones. Like I was so sceptical but it helps
the best.take care
Hii,I really liked your video and I really appreciate your hardwork.
Can you please make a video on time table like how to study and for how much time...
Hii :) I love ur page and it seems really helpful! And soo organised and pretty! And congrats on ur results!! :)
Im beginning yr 11 this yr and im so scared and im struggling cos my mock grades were so bad!! Do u have any revision techniques or tips that u have that could possible help me? Thank u sm!! And if anyone else has any tips/ techniques it would be much appreciated!! Thank u sm and i love ur vid!
Hi! Glad you enjoyed, I think if you're starting Y11 soon, prioritize the subjects that you need for uni and the subjects that you are struggling with most. If you haven't already, go through your specification and tick off the bullet points you are confident in and star the ones you aren't so familiar with. Also, make a list of all the topics that you find challenging for each subject and go through past papers and write down the chapters that come up often- use that as a starting point, don't start from chapter 1. From then on, do as many past papers as possible up until your exams. In terms of study tips, try to study "actively" (e.g. doing past papers, turning your specification into questions and answering them, flash cards, teaching a concept to a friend etc.) as opposed to passive methods (e.g. highlighting, reading your textbook etc.) Hope that helped :)
Congratulations
YOU'RE AN UNDERRATED QUEEN, LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Aww you're too kind :')
@@SarahChu No, you areeeeeee. If I pass my GCSEs, it will be because of youuuuu
@@gildedd That means so SO much ILY
i can’t believe this video doesn’t have hundreds of thousands of views
aww you’re so sweet 🥺🥺
hi can you do about most common question that came in the past past paper for chemistry p4
Ur vids are really helpful! So can you film a vid for biology 0610?
Can you make a video of how you are using anki for biology and other subjects pls
what kind of subjects you choose for your GCSE
Love this but how do you spread out your revsion time in between all of your subjects? Also did you take art? I DID AND IM STRESSINGGGGGGG
AND OMG CONGRATSS LIKE I WISH WOW !!!!!!!!
My chemistry teacher always tells us to study and goal for A* this year his son got the results 10 A*s damn now I should focus too
I've got 2 weeks left in my igcse and I havent even started to study and I'm really stressed out. So noe I'm watching this so I can atleast pass with a acceptable grade to Asian parents 👍🏼🙂*cries in pain ams silence*
Sameeeee.😭🥲
i have exactly a month before mine start and tmrw my 3rd mocks begin, it is all honestly a mess but im pulling through somehow
just get down to studying, it wont do any good to stress about lost time bcus it wont come back
make most of the time u still have
and i can totally relate to the asian parents part bcus i went from an A* and being one of the top students in class to barely getting half marks in mocks and tests ;-;
Same 💀
Hi thank you for The tips also when you mean studying like how do you study do just read your notes or you like watch videos ? Thank you
Hey I have seeing your videos and I really like how you explain everything but I have an issue which is I can’t make flash cards no matter how much I try it just can’t make it and I have my GCSEs coming up so can you plz do a video on that too if you can do it plz
Hoping this is me next year🤞🏽😭
it will be!! just do your best!
Can you please share the units which you have recorded that are repititive / occur often. 🙏
Well, I am in a really stressful and severe situation where my gcse exams are a month away and there are some chapters that I'm not very good at till this time and I'm afraid of getting bad grades.
Hey, Sarah, congrates on your amazing results. One question tho, by past papers you mean like past igcse paper or topical past paper questions?and thanks for the tips
i think she meant past igcse papers not topical
I'm currently trying to find my specifications but im really struggling. Could someone tell me where to find the specifications? This video is so useful as a student going into year 10. Thank you!
hey! just google your exam board (edexcel/aqa/ocr etc.) and specification with the subject name and it should come up
What's a specification and how do I get it?
How did you make the list at 0:51, if two questions of the same topic came up in the same paper, would you write it twice?
I am predicted all 9s atm but I m only just starting revision now, do you think its still possible? I feel like the mocks were really easy so i didnt take them too seriously but ended up getting 9s anyways but idk if i ll be able to pull it off in the real thing 😣
I was really scared if taking my GCSE so I got recommendations from a friend at college about veliscyberclinic tho, which is how I got my GCSE done
Also is paper 1 similar to paper 2, as in if i study for the topics of questions that i noted down on paper 2, could i write the paper 1 exam
God bless you
Hey Sarah can you please link the topics that come the most in the subjects you did thank you
hey!! it’s different for every exam board! from what i rmb for cie igcse bio 0610 paper 4 chp 6,7,9,14,16 always came up! for cie igcse chem paper 6 half the paper is acids and bases
I haven't started studying at all and my exams are in 84 days. I'm so cooked 😭. Great video though!
omg same
hey!! i’m taking m/j this year. how many past papers do u think i should do a day? i find myself being able to do 3-4 a day. also, right now, do i focus on the subjects i find hard (their exams are later in may) or the subjects whose exams are nearest?
I really recommend trying to finish as much as possible as you can (past papers)and do focus on the hard subjects but don’t neglect the others at least do one exam of every subject everyday
thank you sm for the tips! I'm variant may/june and have my exams starting from his month. do u recommend doing other variants? like feb/mar. and what what u suggest doing for phy im scurrentky struggling
Samee
I really need to start looking at past papers but I'm not sure which years should I use for practise, could you please recommend which should I study with? :"D
Could I ask what subjects did you choose?
Hey Sarah, thank u so much for this video, literally a lifesaver. Btw, any tips for making notes? I'm having my chem exam soon and I'm still not done with the notes. Tbh, they take up a lot of time and I don't even find them effective. Any ways to tackle this problem? :(
Hey! If you don't have much time my advice would be to do past papers straight away!
@@SarahChu that's right, but how do I memorise the content?
@@thewaffle2570 Well personally when I was doing GCSE I made notes for all my subjects and always had a pen and paper to write stuff down I kept forgetting. In hindsight, it wasn't a very effective use of my time (I make flashcards now), but if there are certain things you need to memorise like the results of experiments in chemistry, I would just make tables and try and fill them out without looking at the answers. If you find it really difficult, then try doing once a day until it sticks in your long term memory!
@@SarahChu that sounds really good Sarah! Ur such a sweetheart 💗
@@thewaffle2570 aww
I’m in year 9 now going into year 10 but I have a rough idea of what to do but I’m still confused in how to use past papers properly and how to get them
I'm in year 10 and my ppe exams start soon, don't stress to much just figure out a routine, get into good sleeping habits and such. And if you end up not doing to good you can learn from that for the real things
Idk if this is in the video or not, but there are so many quizlets that other people have made! And im pretty sure you can sign up for free but there can be many ads
did you use the same technique for paper 5 in the 3 sciences? did you make a list of all the questions that frequently came up?
yep! we did p6 instead because of covid tho ahah
How do I plan this out into my schedule? I'm making handwritten notes and doing past papers, but I'm not sure how to use the markscheme or flashcards to help?
I hope this works. I really want to get a 7 in maths and 7 in science and 5 in English.
I'm sure you will, keep working hard and you WILL get there!
Hey I had a question, how do I prepare for MCQs of Biology, Physics and chemistry like how many past papers shall I do and shall I revise just like for theory paper?
can u upload the questions u found the hardest and got wrong
Yo would you happen to know the most asked topics for physics (0625)
pls some one explain me what is a specification and where can i get it from
is it a hard copy or soft copy and how should i get it
I have noticed that the specifications are like 60 pages long. Is it necessary to print out all the pages or just a certain part of it?
What app did you use for the past papers on your ipad xx
Sarah, where did you go to school in HK?? I just want to know because sometimes sschools have different reqs and I'm also in HK :D (this rly helped btw)
Did you do foundation or higher? And congrats with all 9*s this made me encouraged to try and get all a’s. And one more question what did you do for gcse and what exam board?
Thanks for answering the question and like I said before congrats 🥳.
probably higher because the grades for foundation are capped at a grade 5
Hello! I'm from Hong Kong as well, just thought I'd support a Hong Konger on my way to my GCSEs :')
Sarah,I have a question that can I do topicals of physics, chemistry and biology except of past papers
do you do 6 papers for chemistry
I got all 9s except on math🙂
where do you find your specification
did you print all the pages of syllabus?
this video is really helpful, thank you
Glad you found it useful! Let me know if you have any video requests :)
Hi can you send some lessons to study under 0590
which ipad do you use
my cie is next year and i have nooo idea how to start😭
where to get full past papers? (for free lol)
Hi please tell me where to find specification
Hi Edna! Just google search it e.g. CIE Biology Specification 2022
wow 10 A*s what a flex 😍
says you AHAH
wait but i thought exam boards wouldn't use the exact questions? and aren't they likely to mix up things in a cycle? my geography teacher talked about a certain topic which comes up around every 3 years and i always thought it was like that
U need double thumbs up
aww 🥺🥺
How many hours per day per subject did you study
