Not about KS, but in the opening title sequence of this video, what is the name of the game in between Mario Odyssey and Mega Man 2, and the name of the game directly above the one in question? Metroidvanias being my favorite genre, I have not seen those two and would like to know what they are.

Great channel! You got a new subscriber! You seem to think/analyse similarly to myself. Regarding this game it looks pretty/verry good, the gripes I have with this is(just by watching it ofc) the main-charachters animations/movement and the general combat. Feels to simple/basic/stiff/unnatural to me. Like when the charachter jumps he just freezes in this standing pose (minor complaint) but overall it feels like the charachter doesn traverse smoothly through the areas/environments. Secondly the combat feels a bit too simple for me. Almost like a NES shooter/platformer. As you were mentioning in the start, many games (esp indie/metroidvanias) only focus or get one or two aspcts right, but the rest is often flawed or generic/poorly designed. Im really picky wiith what I buy and I spend hours just reading reviews/playing demos/digging/searching for great games. My faves are metroid dread,ori 2, and hollow knight. I grew up with dkc 2,mario and zelda, illusion of gaia. I feels theres alot of these mid-tier/more generic type of games in the genre, which can be a chore to browse through, so I hope the quality increase in the future.

I can agree with you on your gripes, I was a bit thrown off by the movement/animations at first, but got pretty used to it and personally, I thought I was able to get around easily without issue. As for the combat, it's definitely straightforward, but because there's a good amount of enemy variety and because it's a fairly difficult game, I still enjoyed it for what it was. Plus, I found most of the bosses to be a good time, especially the later ones. I think it just depends on what you value most in a metroidvania, the exploration is very well done, especially from a smaller indie title, and the music is top notch.
