Why did she go from being the smart, mature one of the group to a perfectionist with little to no actual personality?
+Kaija Schmauss Because stereotypes. It's easier to create situations for characters when they are uber simple to write and adapt, but they can still say she has a "character" because, well, she technically does, it just sucks.
YES! Another person that loves Blossom. Anyway, I understand how you feel. It made me so upset how they changed her up from the leader and mature one of the group to Little Miss Perfectionist. It's like what The Simpsons did to Lisa. She was my favorite character but all of a sudden, she changed to the stereotypical vegetarian girl that takes strong, independent woman way too seriously.

funny how people are just now figuring out that if you bring are show thats been dead for yeads back it wont be as good. I've been saying it for years.
I approve of adding in modern things into reboots of something, because it's supposed to take place in whatever time period it's being remade, so long as it's subtle, in the background, or not given too much attention. What I DON'T approve of, however, is shoving modern things into the audience's faces 24/7, having all their "jokes" and material being mashed off of it, and fully relying on it to vainly appeal to a newer audience. I really hate this, and this is coming from a memelord such as myself. =\
I also agree adding some modern stuff to an older show can work and make it feel different while still feeling very much like the original. Like for the PPG, Pan mentioned the girls all had their own smartphones to respond to emergencies that even had their own unique designs; I feel that fits more than the toy phone in the original.
Excellent, excellent review, can't wait for a continuation down the line after more episodes come out. I'm probably gonna wait until all the rest of the 40 episodes have confirmed air dates until I make a follow-up, and god forbid, if they announce a second season.
technically, Samurai Jack is not getting a reboot, it's getting a continuation by the creator of the show. Also it's going to be on [adult swim]. One could say it is in good hands.
Sooooo true at 13:55. It's pure genius that in ten seconds, we get a clear idea of each of the girls' personalities just through the music and slight character expressions. It's so sad that cartoons today don't have nearly the same level of care put into them.
A great indicator of when I've reached a new low-point of my life is when I spend close to half an hour listening to a grown man harshly critique a new reboot of an old children's cartoon while I sit alone in the dark eating Ramen noodles out of a red solo-cup. Thanks RebelTaxi. I've woken up and can now start to turn my life around.
Well I'm afriad this reboot is suffering something I like to call "play it safe syndrome". You know, when they tone down certain aspects of the show, and get rid of/ change some characters to appease the "sensitive audience".
+burgerkingJ No you're right. The world is a lot different than it was awhile back. Mainly with how PC everything has become and it's seeping into other things. This show is a good example (save for the twerking, I'm surprised they added that in lol0). But make a sexual innuendo and you have the Soccer moms sending death threats lol
+HazzBro no, but they'll look back on shows like Regular Show, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls and Steven Universe and wonder "How did this go over my head!?"
+LucianoThePig That's the case for most cartoons where the animation in the theme song is much better than in the actual show. Even if it were animated like that though, I wouldn't watch it because the problems would still be there.
I've been studying 2D animation at School of Visual Arts for the last four years, and literally all of the animation mistakes I've seen from snippets of this show (clipping, inconsistency, stuff disappearing, lazy tweening) are the kind that first year SVA students make. I am embarrassed for whomever said that this was good enough to air.
9:46 So here's something I never noticed. Bubbles is clearly supposed to be the cute one. When the girls look sad, a semi circle appears above their eyes near the outer parts of their heads. Bubbles's hair, however, makes her eyes look like they're in a permanent state of sadness. I love that.
***** I think with the Gumball thing it was FUNNIER as well as not dated. I don't know; with the twerking thing it feels they were reaching so hard to be cool and funny when no one cares about twerking anymore.
***** The only people who were obsessed with it were Tumblrians who claimed it was cultrual appropriation because it was an African dance.... 'Twerking' originated in the Southern United states at dance clubs.
13:56 Y'know, that is kind of ingenious. The first riff is heroic, the second kind of cutesy, and the third a little edgy. It's the little details that really show how much effort the creators put into it.
the ingredients for the powerpuff girls 2016 is: Water Noodles and Chicken flavoring these were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect RAMEN NOODLES but professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction DANK MEEMS
+The Heartless Hero at this point, i'm wondering if the crew behind the reboot is intentionally sabotaging the reboot just so that CN can cancel the project and leave the PowerPuff franchise with some dignity intact.
that panda twerking in that show reminds me way too much of Panda from We Bare Bears. It's almost too fitting that he got drugged up and then came onto the PPG reboot to spread his love of internet and phones. Except because he's on drugs, it's horrible and he taught little girls to shake their asses. Most people get very uncomfortable with that.
+Crono pfft yeah, and when he said no, they gave him Smile Dip, lots and lots of internet, memes, and a hint of LSD. Him gave Panda his underworld powers, too. Panda never came back the same lol But in all seriousness, the art style done these days you really can't tell the bears apart in some shows. Ex: Grizz looks like that bear that tried to become Finn in AT as well.
Professor Plutonium is the evil alternate universe of Professor Utonium from the mirror universe. He appeared in the 50th issue of DC´s Powerpuff Girls comic, in a story called "Déjà View" He had his own evil version of the Powerpuff Girls, called The powerpunk Girls I em not making this up
Sugar. Spice. And everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little show. But Professor cartoon network purposefully added an EXTRA INGREDIENT to the concoction.... MEMES. Thus, the POWERPUFF GIRLS REBOOT WAS BORN! Using thier ultra super powers, BLOSSOM, BUBBLES, and BUTTERCUP have dedicated their lives to RUINING CHILDHOODS and to FORCE EVIL!!!
Good plots, fleshed out characters, and good animation These were the ingredients to create the perfect show But Cartoon Network accidentally added n extra ingredient to the show Chemical X
The intro song did perfect in the show don’t tell aspect, as the tone of the music as each of the girls appear on screen shifts a bit Blossom, music that sounds somewhat heroic Bubbles (Nostalgia critic “fucking bubbles” sounds off), sweet and innocent tone Buttercup, metal guitar rift gives off the aggressiveness of her character It did fantastic in this department
Yeah, I guess we all just keep forgetting that they're actually called Toy Commerical Network. Our bad for thinking a cartoon channel would care about cartoons.
+CometX-ing Back in like 2007 when I was in high school I would sometimes draw characters like Pikachu smoking weed to impress my pot head friends. Looking back... yeah, that was pretty cringe worthy.
Last Week CN released an episode making fun of themselves and Cyborg even says and I quote "Yeah, I have to agree the show is really bad animation wise."
They've been doing tons of episodes like this, like that episode Wally T where cyborg and beast boy bring over a fan, and the others are all surprised going on about how everyone hates them. That's the first half of it. I wasn't really paying much attention as it was just something on in the background while I was on my computer.
Ikr the show is incredibly lackluster and has lazy flash animation for CN which would have been "acceptable" for an animator on the internet who's just starting off...exactly
I actually liked that rhino looking thing, simple but pleasent to look at, don't think I like the show or any of the other character designs, but I don't know just that one fucking rhino looked neat xddddds
I still can't for the life of me understand why they wanted to reboot the Powerpuff Girls in the first place. And, whose vision was it to make it like... THIS!? I try to be open-minded and give things a chance, but they literally made it to where this show cannot age well. It's so overridden with (already outdated) memes, that will anyone even be able to relate to this after a few years? Who was this even targeted towards right now!? I know people hate Teen Titans Go, but this is--in my opinion--ten times worse.
+Rabbit Plays Games At least TTG isn't really connected to the old show besides voice actors/actresses- this reboot is supposed to be somewhat canon to the original, which insults both the original and its fans even more than if it WASN'T connected to the old show. And this is coming from someone who hates TTG.
Something I think is important is that in the movie, Their little lazer things as they flew match their personalities. Bubbles's was round, Blossom's was stiff but not to dense and Buttercup's was pointed and had sharp corners.
Hey, he wasn't tearing into your favorite show. He was just saying that the new ppg is fine. Personally I don't like it because it seems soulless but he wasn't being disrespectful.
As much as I dislike Teen Titans Go and my strong desire for another season of the original, he had a point. He pointed out the most obscure thing TTG did that wasn't necessarily...horrible.
The new PPG suffers from that same corporate mentality of, "So what if its not written by the same guy. Its just a cartoon and kids will watch it anyway because they're dumb. They'll buy the toys too."
You make very good points about how the original is pretty timeless by not referencing contemporary real-world things, while the reboot is the total opposite. It tries way too hard to be trendy and "in". Indeed, in a few years it'll be cringeworthy when you go back and watch some of these episodes with outdated references and jokes. These kinds of trendy shows never last.
The thing is, you don't even have to really pay attention. There's so little going on in the scene that anyone can clearly see it disappear. The animators didn't care
ᅚᅚ But Wander over Yonder is on a completely different network. So aside from it being made by the same creator, there's nothing similar about each series.
Nostalgia, Charisma, and perfect blend of comedy and drama. These were the ingredients to make perfect reboot. but Cartoon Network accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction: RELATABILITY TO THE CURRENT GENERATION OF YOUTH! And thus, this sad excuse for a reboot was born!
Adults buy toys for merch reasons, so they could be trying to appeal to that crowd too. Unfortunately, nobody is going to buy shit versions of the characters they love.
+CommentPoster10 My nephew is 6. He has almost no interest in his tablet or his nintendo 3ds. He'd rather play with toy cars or build/make something to play with. He loooves yo-yos, bey blades, craft sets, nerf/water guns etc. So some kids do still enjoy real toys.
90's Kids: Ugh, all these new shows suck! These writers can't come up with good original ideas, why can't they just bring back the good old shows? (Nostalgic property gets rebooted) Same 90's Kids: Ugh, all these reboots suck! These writers can't make good adaptations, why can't they come up with original ideas?
You're actually one of the only people who doesn't act like a hypocritical crybaby every time a reboot is released. Do you have any idea how rare that is online?
They set this show up in a way where only people who grew up with the original will fully understand what is going on, which confuses new viewers and then they dumb everything down to the point where it turns off fans of the original ... so who exactly is this show intended for ... ?
Children who are going to grow up watching the reboot are going to be so confused and misinformed about the characters because they never watched the movie or seen the early 2000's one. So what was the point in bringing it back?
So basically, this show is marketed as a new series but relies on the old series for people to recognize the characters. It cuts down the violence in a show that literally had fighting in almost every episode. They took out Ms.Bellum because they thought she was a bad role model for kids, they didn't bring back the original voice actresses of the girls but all the other voices of the side characters came back, except for Princess Morbucks. They nerfed the girls in terms of strength and made the girls into jerks. How can this show call itself the Powerpuff girls?! But hey, at least it's making money so who cares right?
It's refreshing to see an internet reviewer critiquing the show with actual legit points BEYOND just "UGGHH they got new voice actors! WORST SHOW EVER!!!!". The new voice actors do a decent job with what they're given, there are way bigger problems with the show than them.
People need to realize there's a difference between modernization and pandering
If anyone needs a reference, Carrie and Footloose were modernized. The Smurfs and Alvin and the Chipmunks were pandering.
reminds me Dr.Sues movies, tried modernize them so much now they're are joke to watch, instead being timeless they are so fucken dated
By making this more developed and politically correct, it's less original and gives in to the millenials.
@@owenkeys3937 but it WASNT more developed. pan explicitly said that in the video and it couldnt mistaken for being more developed unless you have no grasp on the concept of development. Plus the original ppg didnt do anything edgy or "politically incorrect".

I've woken up and can now start to turn my life around.
you can't hide what's inside
I like the fact Pan's comment has more likes than the original.
@@15Monkes real shit
With all these remakes and reboots, Do kids even know what's real anymore?
maxtheaxeiswax Unless they're sneaky enough to watch adult shows.
Nope
Profile pic matches the comment nicely.
Not anymore now that Boomerang airs the old CN shows at 1-4 AM EST, not to mention barely any going on Netflix or even the more cartoon-favoring Hulu.
0:54 Pay attention to the leash
I did. It's magic.
A wizard did it!
What the hell
How did they mess that up OOF
ANIMATION ERROR
Well I'm afriad this reboot is suffering something I like to call "play it safe syndrome". You know, when they tone down certain aspects of the show, and get rid of/ change some characters to appease the "sensitive audience".
+burgerkingJ this. another notable example is the Total Recall film from a few years back.
I FUCKING hate when that happens!!
Yeah. I would have preferred it if they completely changed the show. Heck, that strategy created two of my favorite reboots of all time.
+Calebite Is one of your 2 favorite reboots of all time Thundercats 2011? What is the other one?
I just lost it when he played that 'M'kay' clip, M'kay.
lol me too
MMMM'kay
+Alexander Walker ME three
+Alexander Walker This is probably the most likes I have ever gotten on one of my comments. THANKS, M'kay.
Just Some Love, MKay
If the show was animated like the intro I'd watch the shit out of that
same
Idk. I think after a while that would make my head hurt.
+HazzBro no, but they'll look back on shows like Regular Show, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls and Steven Universe and wonder "How did this go over my head!?"
+yotsubafanfan And then go watch those shows.
9:46
So here's something I never noticed. Bubbles is clearly supposed to be the cute one. When the girls look sad, a semi circle appears above their eyes near the outer parts of their heads. Bubbles's hair, however, makes her eyes look like they're in a permanent state of sadness. I love that.
Someone had to draw little girls twerking. No artist should be forced to do that.
+SweetKiguBro
At this point it was so bad it doesn't even look like twerking.Just stiff, badly done animation which isn't lacking from this show.
*****
I think with the Gumball thing it was FUNNIER as well as not dated.
I don't know; with the twerking thing it feels they were reaching so hard to be cool and funny when no one cares about twerking anymore.
*****
The only people who were obsessed with it were Tumblrians who claimed it was cultrual appropriation because it was an African dance....
'Twerking' originated in the Southern United states at dance clubs.
*****
It would have looked better had it been.
+ParaChomp lawl
13:56 Y'know, that is kind of ingenious. The first riff is heroic, the second kind of cutesy, and the third a little edgy. It's the little details that really show how much effort the creators put into it.
It’s 2021, the show ended production and aired its last episode in 2019, still waiting for that part two
I know right this show Doesn’t really provide anything for a deep analysis it’s just terrible
It lasted three years?
This shit has over 100 fucking episodes
man pan-pizza, I like your evaluations of cartoons. they're really smart and well put together

Looks like the edge grim reaper disagreed
"You girls are developing into quite the superheroes."
"someday, we'll be as developed as you!"
That joke practically wrote itself, I love it.
2:19 I'm sorry... did he just say.... Professor Plutonium? PLUTONIUM? *PLUTONIUM?!?!?!?*
Are you goddamn serious?!
Prof. Plutonium, still working for Fuse: "Wait, I'm canon now?"
the ingredients for the powerpuff girls 2016 is:
Water
Noodles
and Chicken flavoring
these were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect RAMEN NOODLES
but professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction
DANK MEEMS
Zecturne I get it
PIEMATIONS, *YEAH!!!!!*
*bubbles I swear to God*
Did anyone notice how the dog's collar at 0:55 disappears? How do animation errors so blatant make it through?
Lazyyyy
+The Heartless Hero at this point, i'm wondering if the crew behind the reboot is intentionally sabotaging the reboot just so that CN can cancel the project and leave the PowerPuff franchise with some dignity intact.
+The Heartless Hero I noticed it immediately.. I had to check again and wow
LMAO it just fucking disappeared!! LOLFAIL
there's a lot of Animation errors in the show.
Did that guy just call Professor Utonium "Professor Plutonium"?????
sadly yes
+ajzeg01 Odd enough I think they used a joke like that in the show once
I believe he said that as a joke he does that a lot
+ajzeg01 I felt more annoyed at that than I probably should've. fucking execs ought to know the product their shipping right? ...Right?
+ajzeg01 YES
that panda twerking in that show reminds me way too much of Panda from We Bare Bears. It's almost too fitting that he got drugged up and then came onto the PPG reboot to spread his love of internet and phones. Except because he's on drugs, it's horrible and he taught little girls to shake their asses. Most people get very uncomfortable with that.
Or maybe the creators were like "Let's get that Panda from a good show to make our show look good. Oh, and make him twerk. Kids love twerking."
+Crono Ice Bear wants justice.
+Crono lol
+Crono pfft yeah, and when he said no, they gave him Smile Dip, lots and lots of internet, memes, and a hint of LSD. Him gave Panda his underworld powers, too. Panda never came back the same lol
But in all seriousness, the art style done these days you really can't tell the bears apart in some shows. Ex: Grizz looks like that bear that tried to become Finn in AT as well.
panda didn't deserve this
Who the fuck is professor Plutonium? I know Professor Utonium
Professor Plutonium is the evil alternate universe of Professor Utonium from the mirror universe.
He appeared in the 50th issue of DC´s Powerpuff Girls comic, in a story called "Déjà View"
He had his own evil version of the Powerpuff Girls, called The powerpunk Girls
I em not making this up
BUTT QUESTIONS!
...
Fuck's sake, guys...
Sugar. Spice. And everything nice.
These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little show.
But Professor cartoon network purposefully added an EXTRA INGREDIENT to the concoction.... MEMES.
Thus, the POWERPUFF GIRLS REBOOT WAS BORN!
Using thier ultra super powers,
BLOSSOM, BUBBLES, and BUTTERCUP have dedicated their lives to RUINING CHILDHOODS and to FORCE EVIL!!!
I'm glad Ace managed to escape the reboot and join Gorillaz

if that is from pswg,
its not every day you see panty on a pfp
So, basically, Cartoon Network sold its soul.
Good plots, fleshed out characters, and good animation
These were the ingredients to create the perfect show
But Cartoon Network accidentally added n extra ingredient to the show
Chemical X
More like chemical pander!😂
The intro song did perfect in the show don’t tell aspect, as the tone of the music as each of the girls appear on screen shifts a bit
Blossom, music that sounds somewhat heroic
Bubbles (Nostalgia critic “fucking bubbles” sounds off), sweet and innocent tone
Buttercup, metal guitar rift gives off the aggressiveness of her character
It did fantastic in this department
Toys, its the only way to convince cartoon network of anything.
PS that stuff about flea markets, yeah spot on man. Except for the constant yeallin of ONE DOLLAR ONE DALLOAR!
I love your icon.
Yeah, I guess we all just keep forgetting that they're actually called Toy Commerical Network. Our bad for thinking a cartoon channel would care about cartoons.
I swear those gangsta versions of shit like SpongeBob and Sesame Street make me cringe.
No JOKE I remember kids wearing that stuff at grocery stores and malls and I was like wtf ...
+CometX-ing
Not to mention they are somehow worth 500$-1000$
Like who the fuck buys this overpriced shit?
They sold them at local store franchises where I live...while I found some interesting, they always gave a vibe of "trying too hard"
+CometX-ing
Back in like 2007 when I was in high school I would sometimes draw characters like Pikachu smoking weed to impress my pot head friends. Looking back... yeah, that was pretty cringe worthy.
I could see them being worn by a satirical rap group made up of cartoonish mascots....but I wouldn't pay over $1000 for them
This show gave me cancer
Monique Williams how original
Monique Williams what about crippling depression
Clorox Bleach I think more like suicidal thoughts
Monique Williams Say it louder for the people in the back!
Like a Plague!
Last Week CN released an episode making fun of themselves and Cyborg even says and I quote "Yeah, I have to agree the show is really bad animation wise."
I meant Teen Titans Go!
They've been doing tons of episodes like this, like that episode Wally T where cyborg and beast boy bring over a fan, and the others are all surprised going on about how everyone hates them.
That's the first half of it. I wasn't really paying much attention as it was just something on in the background while I was on my computer.
+Bourbon Brisk Yeah, and the episode "The Fourth Wall" breaks that limit completely
+Jelly Jam Jamboree Jerks If they hate their show that much, why don't they cancel it?
Ikr the show is incredibly lackluster and has lazy flash animation for CN which would have been "acceptable" for an animator on the internet who's just starting off...exactly
i think Craig McCracken is like Billy Ray Curys
the media and the twerking ruined their babies
It's not his fault.
The animation looks ugly. Its so simplistic and less detailed, I mean they couldn't use complex shapes in flash or something ?
and Its full of animation errors
+Mary Universe And looks like Clarence rather than PPG.
+Krystal Ortiz It's stilted and lacks OUMPH or personality due to how they dispay the characters and animate them.
I actually liked that rhino looking thing, simple but pleasent to look at, don't think I like the show or any of the other character designs, but I don't know just that one fucking rhino looked neat xddddds
To give the show some credit some of the jokes are pretty funny and I'm referring to Mojo Jojo.
They did the reboot for the money.
+Rabbit Plays Games At least TTG isn't really connected to the old show besides voice actors/actresses- this reboot is supposed to be somewhat canon to the original, which insults both the original and its fans even more than if it WASN'T connected to the old show. And this is coming from someone who hates TTG.
i appreciated Go more after watching this and the only thing i really hated from them was their petty fan bashing
Son of a Beyotch
That's what I'm seriously thinking, too.
Luna D
Indeed, friend! I agree 100%.
Something I think is important is that in the movie, Their little lazer things as they flew match their personalities. Bubbles's was round, Blossom's was stiff but not to dense and Buttercup's was pointed and had sharp corners.
Cartoon Network should just take down the show
And toddler Titans/Teen Titans go
I'm fine with ppg 2016,but teen titans go needs to die
+a guy who nobody should gave a whoopdy do about fuck you they ruined one of my favourite show
Hey, he wasn't tearing into your favorite show. He was just saying that the new ppg is fine. Personally I don't like it because it seems soulless but he wasn't being disrespectful.
They can´t
they did the mistake of ordering a second season before the first one even aired
These little girls should not be tweaking -n-
that -n-didn't work :/
It's spelled tweeking :p
+Xenobyl_Obsidian OMG Stocking love
+Xenobyl_Obsidian
I know right?
+israel Ramos Oh jeez, that makes twerking even more horrible.
"Once again the day is saved, thanks to the original, bonified Powerpuff Girls! Accept no substitutes."
That line fits perfectly with this reboot
When even Tumblr hates this cartoon because it's too pc, you know you done fucked up.
It's the bad kind of PC
+Tia Blue
*All* political correctness is bad!
Tumblr and 4chan are agreeing about something. Perhaps world peace is possible...trough terrible executive moves and insulting pandering.
+StarSnowGhost the world is united to a common thing to cringe at.
"Boobs are something sexual and something every adult women has! Let's draw them without boobs!"
I love the fact that the writers put a self insert character INTO the cartoon. Ultimate flex if you ask me.
weird flex but ok -jarvis johnson
KnowYourMeme hates this show, think about that.
I'm not that surprised. Come back if 9Gag hates it. Now that would be a surprise.
+Yvan Tanael
Being Fair Know Your Meme Its One Of The Only Places On The Internet Where People Have Actual Common Sense.
+Yvan Tanael Everyone hates it. Even Tumblr and Facebook.
I'm not even joking when 4Chan hates it, some people even say it's worse than Teen Titans Go!
+Yvan Tanael 4chan hates everything though.
using teen titans go to critic to PPG is like using shit to defend diarrhea
+alexthehunted it works tho
I like TTG.
it's a guilty pleasure
As much as I dislike Teen Titans Go and my strong desire for another season of the original, he had a point. He pointed out the most obscure thing TTG did that wasn't necessarily...horrible.
+alexthehunted so you can get how much worse is the show, it works

"local Hispanic flea market"
Rebel you're too real, that was legit.
+Mario37519 Which zeta plus? Like do you mean the A1 the C1 which one!?
Also I'm pretty sure you meant zeta rise but whatever.
0:56 Pay attention to the dog's leash. It disappears out of nowhere.
The thing is, you don't even have to really pay attention. There's so little going on in the scene that anyone can clearly see it disappear. The animators didn't care
Tia Blue True.
That's funny xD
But people could probably notice that only having 3 big things.
One job. They just had one job and failed miserably.
Poor Craig McCracken, Apparently Wander over Yonder won't make it past season two, since Disney Shot down a pitch for a 3rd season
+Daniel Staples What does that have to do with the PPG reboot though?
+Juan Strong He's the creator of the original PPG, so on top of having his idea being destroyed, he is also having his current show cancelled.
ᅚᅚ But Wander over Yonder is on a completely different network. So aside from it being made by the same creator, there's nothing similar about each series.
Man it's just lamo such shit happens to great talent.. I feel for the guy - I really do.
people are petitioning to get Wonder a third season
Nostalgia, Charisma, and perfect blend of comedy and drama. These were the ingredients to make perfect reboot. but Cartoon Network accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction: RELATABILITY TO THE CURRENT GENERATION OF YOUTH!

@@staringcorgi6475 sadly, no, they did not.

Are cartoons still trying to sell toys? Do kids even play with toys anymore?
Yeah. Until they're, like, 6
+CommentPoster10 most kids I've seen play video games now but yeah some still play with toys
like every now and then
all kids do is use their iPhone 6's.

+Ink Star the Doodle Reviewer Watch the video before commenting
I was mocking other people's reactions to this show.
+Ink Star the Doodle Reviewer Oh okay
You're actually one of the only people who doesn't act like a hypocritical crybaby every time a reboot is released. Do you have any idea how rare that is online?
you ignore the fact the reboots are shit
They set this show up in a way where only people who grew up with the original will fully understand what is going on, which confuses new viewers and then they dumb everything down to the point where it turns off fans of the original ... so who exactly is this show intended for ... ?
for brick walls and potatoes maybe? Or maybe for babies cuz clearly the characters in the show act like babies
The reincarnations of Abigail Williams and Mary Whitehouse who thought the original show was too violent when it first aired.
"You'll learn why more, when this review is continued in part two"

Well, the reboot has got a good thing. It helped me to appreciate more the original cartoon.
Thanks Puwerpuff Girls 2016 for be so horrible.

Whose here in 2019 when She-Ra ended up being so much of what Powerpuff Girls should have been...
0:56 are we not gonna talk ABOUT THE FUCKING LEASH
Children who are going to grow up watching the reboot are going to be so confused and misinformed about the characters because they never watched the movie or seen the early 2000's one. So what was the point in bringing it back?

+UnderTheBed Several of which get featured in this video. Like the boy at 6:17 who has to phase through Buttercup in order to get tripped.
I thought it was just the hallucinations again.
Yeah XD
So basically, this show is marketed as a new series but relies on the old series for people to recognize the characters. It cuts down the violence in a show that literally had fighting in almost every episode. They took out Ms.Bellum because they thought she was a bad role model for kids, they didn't bring back the original voice actresses of the girls but all the other voices of the side characters came back, except for Princess Morbucks. They nerfed the girls in terms of strength and made the girls into jerks.
How can this show call itself the Powerpuff girls?! But hey, at least it's making money so who cares right?
Wait Teen Titans Go is a parody? Well shit. This simplifies things.
A really shit parody at that.
true
Jack Scully A bad parody, but a parody nonteheless.
Jack Skully A hilarious parody, but a parody nontehless.
Reshirou Krieger no
It's refreshing to see an internet reviewer critiquing the show with actual legit points BEYOND just "UGGHH they got new voice actors! WORST SHOW EVER!!!!". The new voice actors do a decent job with what they're given, there are way bigger problems with the show than them.
