It's pretty lame that the Powerpuff Girls make a toungue-in-cheek diss at Wonder Woman (at least, at her outfit), because, in the old PPG series, Blossom was canonically a fan of Wonder Woman, and looked up to her as an idol. It just feels like more of the writers of the new show not doing their research or even knowing the characters of the old girls.

She is quite similar to this 4th powerpuff girl introduced in this crap reboot, in that both of their powers were both too destructive and were driven into solitude because of it. Sadly she died in her debut episode(due to her unstable makeup) and exploded in a white flash. Go watch the episode, unless you don't want a feels trip.

Fairy Flarey that's kinda a problem faced by a lot of left leaning shows and media. Take marvel comics for example, their new heroes are just self insert, fan fic Mary Sue's who are completely self absorbed and have no trouble defeating what amount to basically joke villains to make themselves look good, because the writer has no idea how to build up their characters naturally and only think them beating up worthless villains while being jeered on by more experienced heroes somehow makes their heroes more likeable or credible.

The staff of the PPG reboot insert themselves into the show constantly, it just so happened that people picked up on Jared specifically due to his more prominent and repeated role in the series. It wasn't his choice to be put into that role, the rest of the staff did it as, well, more or less an in-joke. However, it went down _completely_ the wrong way, and his incredibly awkward/creepy attitude certainly didn't help people's perceptions of him. So now he's being witch-hunted as a pedophile, when the reality is that he's just a really awkward creep who likes cartoons a little too much.
They essentially copied the Bunny episode somewhat with this plot 4th Powerpuff Girl - Check Purple Color - Check Unstable use of power / form - Check Aids enemy in one way or another - Check Has some obligatory reason why they'll never return in future episodes - Check The difference between Bunny and Bliss; Bunny was mentally handicapped, which gave a form of excuse why the mistakes Bunny made were not entirely her fault. She never knew better. She was sweet and made an impression. AND SHE FUCKING DIES IN THE END. She left an impact on the girls that will always remain. That they shouldn't try and play god to make another PPG. And they should be more patient with people like Bunny. Bliss is literally ignorance incarnate for the Source Material. They destroy any credibility for the main 3 PPGs. They try to make Bliss the true PPG (which effectively plays on blaming white people for taking credit) She's overpowered but cannot control her powers. (which means only she can move Saturn back into place, because why?) She embodied everything that was wrong about adding a new character. A Mary Sue character who everyone loved and outshined everyone. May she never come back, and may this show die like all terrible reboots.

It's so weird.... This is just fucking Terra but down worse in pretty much every way possible. They took away the actual divide over her powers, they took away how actively destructive they could be, had everyone instantly love her and got rid of the psychological torment behind it. And then they removed all the interest and creativity behind her abilities and just sort-of gave her a weird colored hair to make her feel more special and unique while removing the entire character arc outside of the 'manipulated by an antagonist' aspect, which was just done horribly because it removed all of the moral responsibility from all of it! At least it's a powerful black character and yeah, I'm not going to lie, that's probably going to make some black girls watching this feel represented or whatever I guess? But even then, those people deserve BETTER. They deserve an actual character, not just a poorly done re-hashed Mary Sue marketing prop like this. Just ranting at this point, but you know what? If CN wants diversity, then invest in a fucking Blue Beetle series of some kind, right? Make some new Man of Action cartoon or something! Make a new show where they can introduce new heroes that are minorities and give them as many marketing bullshit things as you want to make it work, just make them an actual effing character and keep that property away from this series because PPG 2016 is a fucking sinking ship and it's never going to be the format for delivering powerful diverse figures as the people behind this character seems to think it is! It's a marketing machine. And it's a fucking bad one, at that.... Just let this shit die, keep running the merch and making money off of the characters, and use that money to make something that will get people's attention and be regarded as good! Because if you're making a good series, then people are going to want stuff related to the thing they like!

Like this technically implies that the Professor made a black girl by accident and then his next batch of kids 'fixed' the problems of the original.... Not that you can't make an interesting storyline out of that, but I don't think this series is really built in such a way that its writers are even capable of approaching a complex issue like that because everything's geared towards setting up really generalized cartoon moments and everything's made to try and shove in more jokes regardless of how well they fit. But if you're going to do a story like this, you kind-of HAVE to get into some of the darker aspects of it and have a bit of moral complexity because you can't really just look at an abandoned failed child and just be like "This is totally a black and white thing, just don't think about it too hard."

I don't hate Bliss because she's black I hate her because like Poof, Sparky, and Chloe from The Fairly Odd Parents she the result of the show writers thinking that the best way to save their obviously dying is to add a new character. She's just a bad character in general since she's shoehorned into the series in the worst way possible. Why would the girls call Bubbles crazy for having an imaginary friend? That's something most 6-year-old have. Also, they didn't think she was crazy when she believed unicorns were real and her stuffed toy octopus could play kickball, but having an imaginary friend is considered crazy. I would've forgiven Bliss if she was Bunny, or had a similar backstory like Bunny. Bunny made sense since she was the result of the girl's recklessly making a 4th sister to help them. Since they added in the wrong sugar, spice, and everything that was nice Bunny came out deformed and unstable. If Bliss was created the same way as Bunny that would've explained her natural proportions, hair color, and unstable powers. She would've been a lot more sympathetic if she sacrificed herself to bring Saturn back in its right place, it would've been an easier way to get rid of her too. Before you say that would be too dark, may I remind you that Bunny from the original series blew up on screen in her debut episode because she was so unstable. Also, there was already a cartoon that did the same plot the right way, "My Life As A Teenage Robot" in the episode, "XJ-Sisters." The main character, Jenny, who is a robot, goes to a family picnic and gets jealous of her human friends Tuck and Brad and how they share a sibling bond, which Jenny doesn't have. One day Jenny discovers that she does have sisters. They're the prototypes, which makes sense since not only is Jenny a robot, but her mom/inventor calls her Xj-9 which means that there were 8 other prototypes before her. She decides to reactivate them and take them all to the picnic. She soon realizes that they were all deactivated and locked away for a reason. As prototypes, they're all really defective and cause mayhem throughout the picnic and severely embarrass Jenny. She yells at them and tells them to go away. Brad explains to her that siblings are supposed to embarrass each other because that's kinda their job. When a villain shows up and is too hard to beat alone Jenny's sisters ban together and help her defeat them. Jenny apologizes, has a slumber party with them, and her mom deactivates them and stores them away again. This made sense since even though Jenny's sister were sentient, they were still robots who were very destructive due to their major flaws in their designs so them being deactivated for all those years made sense. It also makes senses that Dr. Wakeman, Jenny's mom, never told Jenny about them for fear of her reactivating them and wreaking havoc. As an inventor, we expect Dr. Wakeman to have several prototypes of robots since she did build Jenny to be a perfect superhero, especially since she calls her XJ-9. With Bliss, however, the fact that there was no indication that there was an "original power puff girl." made her backstory extremely confusing, epically if you've watched the original series. We all assumed that Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were the only Powerpuff girls that ever existed since there was no indicated that the professor tried making a perfect daughter more than once. So the fact that there was an original power puff girl that the professor never mentioned to his daughters makes him look like an asshole. Another problem is unlike Dr. Wakeman, the professor sees the girls as his daughters first and superheroes second, so we know he's very emotionally attached to them. Unlike Jenny's sisters, Bliss is seen a more human-like character and was treated like the professor's daughter. So the fact that he just swept her death under the rug after all those years like a failed experiment makes him look like a heartless mad scientist and Bliss as a defective prototype that needs to be turned off and dismantled. Also, I don't think I need to explain why having a black character getting created by chemical "w" is a bad idea.
Thank you for bringing up one of my favorite my life as a teenage robot episodes. Its a shame that, weird part of the internet aside, many shoved that show aside and wrote it off as a ppg clone. It was my fave Nicktoon. And you are also right that the 'bliss' story only works with robots as you indicated, Jenny is called xj9 meaning she had 8 prototypes. With bliss it came out of nowhere and makes utonium seem heartless like Dick Hardley (yes that was his name) from the ep Knock it off.

Terra went through the worst kind of control, she had to consciously watch Slade controlling her body. Granted, she overcame it but that had to be a pretty terrifying experience. It's one thing to be conveniently blacked out but to watch your body moving and you can't do anything about it?

In the end, she overuses her power and kills herself. - Teen Titans (2003, TV) has Terra with a sympathetic personality and is one of Beastboy's love interests. In the end, she sacrifices herself for the heroes, turns into a stone, and resurrects with an amnesia. - Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017, Direct-to-DVD) has her characterized similarly to the TV show, but has more teen angst. She sacrifices herself and die for real at the end of the movie. Overall, people tend to remember the TV version better. It made Terra's character more complex and memorable.

I once came up with a fourth Powerpuff when I was young. I said Powerpuff because the character I created ain't a girl but a boy turned cyborg from the future and went to the past which coincides with the creation of the Powerpuff Girls which made the Professor convinced that the boy was created from the mix too. His name was originally Huckleberry but now it's shortened to Barry (not his real name). I was addicted to Mega Man that time so I made him a cyborg. Childhood is like meth man.
I guess I'll add more for Barry's lore. He has a blaster on right hand and wields a blunt black metal sword for his left hand. A 7 year old boy fighting alongside the girls and apparently in the same school until Pokey Oaks Kindergarten decided to advance him but he had to go to Megaville. In 5 years, he told the girls and the Professor to be there. *cue PPGD. Dr. X is the reason why his future is ruined so he was sent back in time for the reason to kill him. After all of that, he separates with the girls because he has to go to high school and he was recommended to go to New Townsville in Japan. *cue PPGZ. Waow...
I liked the explanation one Wonder Woman story had, where her costume is patterned after the country's colors of where she's visiting as a custom to show peace.

18:00: Weird and creepy creations aside, these guys do have a point about the demon possession trope. Whenever a character gets possessed they either blackout or everything just revert back to normal for them. It would be interesting to see someone be traumatized after getting possessed, it'll introduce post-traumatic stress disorder to children. It would also make for an interesting Arc for a character.

Wonder Woman costume looks how it does in world because she went directly to the US and not straight into WWII (not WWI like the movie has it). Her mom wanted to make sure the Americans didn't think she was an enemy so they made the costume a female gladiator dress with an eagle and American colors.

Hey man, no need to be so hopeless about it. For every PPG 2016 there's an OK KO: Let's Be Heroes or A Welcome to the Wayne. New cartoons are always coming out, and so many of them are imaginative and creative and good, and I don't think that'll ever stop. OK KO in particular is a fantastic show with great animation and great off-model facial expressions, something I've been missing for a while now.

Well, I mean the whole idea of a 4th Powerpuff Girl that The Professor kept a secret is an interesting premise in and of itself but of course it's an idea handled by these hacks so of course it's terrible. I kinda wish Craig woulda done it in the original but different. First off, I like the whole idea of her being a prototype and not being able to control her powers. It coulda been something that the Professor tried to control but then realized he couldn't. His only option would be to destroy her so he makes a devise to take her out. Realizing he can't kill his own daughter he opts to put her into stasis until he can figure out how to help her. After years of experimenting he decides the only way it could work is if he started off from scratch. So he creates a new concoction, the accident happens and the Powerpuff Girls are born. Not soon after he realizes that if the girls discover her they'll try to reawaken her so he hides her in a secret portion of the lab, only coming back to her when he feels like he needs to. He never mentions her to the girls and it's something guilty he never gets over. In an attempt to revive her she takes revenge on him, angry that she's been neglected for years by her dad and enraged and filled with jealousy over the new girls perfection she tries to destroy them. It's something that COULD have worked and been great but no, this is a bullshit, plot-hole filled mess and it's just another anchor that will pull this show into cancellation where it will be forgotten immediately afterward like it deserves to be.
You know those contests where it's like "SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL CHARACTER AND THEY COULD BE FEATURED ON THE SHOW!" That's what this feels like, except instead of a one-off appearance, it's a tv movie and the whole fucking rest of the show.
Those hips on Bliss are hideous. Even as a black person myself, I saw her on RUclips thumbnails and all I could say is "Why?! They're trying WAY too hard now!" It makes me happy to not have cable so that I don't even accidentally watch this terrible show. They lost me at clips of twerking 5 year olds.

To start, I'm torn with shows that aren't anime using anime-like sequences. On one hand, anime is becoming more widely accepted and is seen as cool. Back when I was in school, it was an embarrassment to admit you liked anime. I've been out of school for over ten years and except for some male coworkers who might enjoy shonen anime, I've not been able to tell any other adult of my interest. They too grew up in that same era of it being too foreign and childish for most of the west. On the other, anime-like moments can be seen as trying too hard to pander. Not sure if you're old enough to have seen this but I remember an episode of Billy and Mandy called Chickenball Z. Don't need to clarify what show it was parodying. I absolutely loved that they acknowledged anime there, especially as Toonami had either finished up or was close to its end. It was like bridging east meets west and paying homage to anime in a silly way. It was before anime references in western cartoons was common so it didn't feel like pandering but then I remember seeing a clip where that Horton Hears a Who movie had a bad anime reference. You could just feel the executives nodding like, "This is what the kids like these days, right?" Anime and Dr. Seuss should never go together. But culturally, I'm trying to also see it from the point of view of something like...characters using slang from the black community (American Dragon Jake Long, an embarrassment to both Asians and blacks, though bless the creators hearts for trying, lol) or having a black character who speaks so much slang, they're only good for comedic relief or cringe. On one hand, the speech makes it seem like "all black people talk like this!" which is certainly not true. And in the case of the anime segment in PPG, you might get the vibes that anime is all the world knows about Asia, despite that anime is predominately from one country and even there, people that like anime are very niche and can be ostracised because anime is NOT universally accepted in Japan. I guess in the end, we just have to pick and choose our batttles. They're baby steps but the world is at least trying to understand our cultures. Once upon a time, it would've been hard to see either of our races on American TV so progress is being made. Pitfalls and mistakes will be made but the media will get there...hopefully. she looks so out of place and pandering as fuck with a generic background story, and even then they didn't do it in a way that made sense. Out of place, horrible colors, retcon of canon, mary sue like qualities, and a broken cobbled story that's meant to be big epic and emotional but is horrible bland and desperate to have people care.

The staff of the PPG reboot insert themselves into the show constantly, it just so happened that people picked up on Jared specifically due to his more prominent and repeated role in the series. It wasn't his choice to be put into that role, the rest of the staff did it as, well, more or less an in-joke. However, it went down _completely_ the wrong way, and his incredibly awkward/creepy attitude certainly didn't help people's perceptions of him. So now he's being witch-hunted as a pedophile, when the reality is that he's just a really awkward creep who likes cartoons a little too much.

The difference between Bunny and Bliss; Bunny was mentally handicapped, which gave a form of excuse why the mistakes Bunny made were not entirely her fault. She never knew better. She was sweet and made an impression. AND SHE FUCKING DIES IN THE END. She left an impact on the girls that will always remain. That they shouldn't try and play god to make another PPG. And they should be more patient with people like Bunny.
Bliss is literally ignorance incarnate for the Source Material. They destroy any credibility for the main 3 PPGs. They try to make Bliss the true PPG (which effectively plays on blaming white people for taking credit) She's overpowered but cannot control her powers. (which means only she can move Saturn back into place, because why?) She embodied everything that was wrong about adding a new character. A Mary Sue character who everyone loved and outshined everyone.
May she never come back, and may this show die like all terrible reboots.

It's so weird.... This is just fucking Terra but down worse in pretty much every way possible. They took away the actual divide over her powers, they took away how actively destructive they could be, had everyone instantly love her and got rid of the psychological torment behind it. And then they removed all the interest and creativity behind her abilities and just sort-of gave her a weird colored hair to make her feel more special and unique while removing the entire character arc outside of the 'manipulated by an antagonist' aspect, which was just done horribly because it removed all of the moral responsibility from all of it!
At least it's a powerful black character and yeah, I'm not going to lie, that's probably going to make some black girls watching this feel represented or whatever I guess? But even then, those people deserve BETTER. They deserve an actual character, not just a poorly done re-hashed Mary Sue marketing prop like this.

Make a new show where they can introduce new heroes that are minorities and give them as many marketing bullshit things as you want to make it work, just make them an actual effing character and keep that property away from this series because PPG 2016 is a fucking sinking ship and it's never going to be the format for delivering powerful diverse figures as the people behind this character seems to think it is! Just let this shit die, keep running the merch and making money off of the characters, and use that money to make something that will get people's attention and be regarded as good! There's so many horrible implications with this that I know the writers didn't think through, lol. Like this technically implies that the Professor made a black girl by accident and then his next batch of kids 'fixed' the problems of the original....
Not that you can't make an interesting storyline out of that, but I don't think this series is really built in such a way that its writers are even capable of approaching a complex issue like that because everything's geared towards setting up really generalized cartoon moments and everything's made to try and shove in more jokes regardless of how well they fit. But if you're going to do a story like this, you kind-of HAVE to get into some of the darker aspects of it and have a bit of moral complexity because you can't really just look at an abandoned failed child and just be like "This is totally a black and white thing, just don't think about it too hard."

I don't hate Bliss because she's black I hate her because like Poof, Sparky, and Chloe from The Fairly Odd Parents she the result of the show writers thinking that the best way to save their obviously dying is to add a new character. She's just a bad character in general since she's shoehorned into the series in the worst way possible. Why would the girls call Bubbles crazy for having an imaginary friend? That's something most 6-year-old have. Also, they didn't think she was crazy when she believed unicorns were real and her stuffed toy octopus could play kickball, but having an imaginary friend is considered crazy. I would've forgiven Bliss if she was Bunny, or had a similar backstory like Bunny. Bunny made sense since she was the result of the girl's recklessly making a 4th sister to help them. Since they added in the wrong sugar, spice, and everything that was nice Bunny came out deformed and unstable. If Bliss was created the same way as Bunny that would've explained her natural proportions, hair color, and unstable powers. She would've been a lot more sympathetic if she sacrificed herself to bring Saturn back in its right place, it would've been an easier way to get rid of her too. Before you say that would be too dark, may I remind you that Bunny from the original series blew up on screen in her debut episode because she was so unstable. Also, there was already a cartoon that did the same plot the right way, "My Life As A Teenage Robot" in the episode, "XJ-Sisters." The main character, Jenny, who is a robot, goes to a family picnic and gets jealous of her human friends Tuck and Brad and how they share a sibling bond, which Jenny doesn't have. One day Jenny discovers that she does have sisters. They're the prototypes, which makes sense since not only is Jenny a robot, but her mom/inventor calls her Xj-9 which means that there were 8 other prototypes before her. She decides to reactivate them and take them all to the picnic. She soon realizes that they were all deactivated and locked away for a reason. As prototypes, they're all really defective and cause mayhem throughout the picnic and severely embarrass Jenny. She yells at them and tells them to go away. Brad explains to her that siblings are supposed to embarrass each other because that's kinda their job. When a villain shows up and is too hard to beat alone Jenny's sisters ban together and help her defeat them. Jenny apologizes, has a slumber party with them, and her mom deactivates them and stores them away again. This made sense since even though Jenny's sister were sentient, they were still robots who were very destructive due to their major flaws in their designs so them being deactivated for all those years made sense. It also makes senses that Dr. Wakeman, Jenny's mom, never told Jenny about them for fear of her reactivating them and wreaking havoc. As an inventor, we expect Dr. Wakeman to have several prototypes of robots since she did build Jenny to be a perfect superhero, especially since she calls her XJ-9. With Bliss, however, the fact that there was no indication that there was an "original power puff girl." made her backstory extremely confusing, epically if you've watched the original series. We all assumed that Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were the only Powerpuff girls that ever existed since there was no indicated that the professor tried making a perfect daughter more than once. So the fact that there was an original power puff girl that the professor never mentioned to his daughters makes him look like an asshole. Another problem is unlike Dr. Wakeman, the professor sees the girls as his daughters first and superheroes second, so we know he's very emotionally attached to them. Unlike Jenny's sisters, Bliss is seen a more human-like character and was treated like the professor's daughter. So the fact that he just swept her death under the rug after all those years like a failed experiment makes him look like a heartless mad scientist and Bliss as a defective prototype that needs to be turned off and dismantled. Also, I don't think I need to explain why having a black character getting created by chemical "w" is a bad idea.

- The New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (1984, comic) has Tara Markov as a sadistic 14 years old who willingly manipulates the team and sleeps with Slade. In the end, she overuses her power and kills herself.
- Teen Titans (2003, TV) has Terra with a sympathetic personality and is one of Beastboy's love interests. In the end, she sacrifices herself for the heroes, turns into a stone, and resurrects with an amnesia.
- Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017, Direct-to-DVD) has her characterized similarly to the TV show, but has more teen angst. She sacrifices herself and die for real at the end of the movie.
Overall, people tend to remember the TV version better. It made Terra's character more complex and memorable.

I once came up with a fourth Powerpuff when I was young. I said Powerpuff because the character I created ain't a girl but a boy turned cyborg from the future and went to the past which coincides with the creation of the Powerpuff Girls which made the Professor convinced that the boy was created from the mix too. His name was originally Huckleberry but now it's shortened to Barry (not his real name). I was addicted to Mega Man that time so I made him a cyborg. Childhood is like meth man.
I guess I'll add more for Barry's lore. He has a blaster on right hand and wields a blunt black metal sword for his left hand. A 7 year old boy fighting alongside the girls and apparently in the same school until Pokey Oaks Kindergarten decided to advance him but he had to go to Megaville. In 5 years, he told the girls and the Professor to be there. *cue PPGD. Dr. X is the reason why his future is ruined so he was sent back in time for the reason to kill him. After all of that, he separates with the girls because he has to go to high school and he was recommended to go to New Townsville in Japan. *cue PPGZ. Waow...

Whenever a character gets possessed they either blackout or everything just revert back to normal for them.

Hey man, no need to be so hopeless about it. For every PPG 2016 there's an OK KO: Let's Be Heroes or A Welcome to the Wayne. New cartoons are always coming out, and so many of them are imaginative and creative and good, and I don't think that'll ever stop. OK KO in particular is a fantastic show with great animation and great off-model facial expressions, something I've been missing for a while now.

Well, I mean the whole idea of a 4th Powerpuff Girl that The Professor kept a secret is an interesting premise in and of itself but of course it's an idea handled by these hacks so of course it's terrible. I kinda wish Craig woulda done it in the original but different. First off, I like the whole idea of her being a prototype and not being able to control her powers. It coulda been something that the Professor tried to control but then realized he couldn't. His only option would be to destroy her so he makes a devise to take her out. Realizing he can't kill his own daughter he opts to put her into stasis until he can figure out how to help her. After years of experimenting he decides the only way it could work is if he started off from scratch. So he creates a new concoction, the accident happens and the Powerpuff Girls are born. Not soon after he realizes that if the girls discover her they'll try to reawaken her so he hides her in a secret portion of the lab, only coming back to her when he feels like he needs to. He never mentions her to the girls and it's something guilty he never gets over. In an attempt to revive her she takes revenge on him, angry that she's been neglected for years by her dad and enraged and filled with jealousy over the new girls perfection she tries to destroy them. It's something that COULD have worked and been great but no, this is a bullshit, plot-hole filled mess and it's just another anchor that will pull this show into cancellation where it will be forgotten immediately afterward like it deserves to be.

To start, I'm torn with shows that aren't anime using anime-like sequences. On one hand, anime is becoming more widely accepted and is seen as cool. Back when I was in school, it was an embarrassment to admit you liked anime. I've been out of school for over ten years and except for some male coworkers who might enjoy shonen anime, I've not been able to tell any other adult of my interest. They too grew up in that same era of it being too foreign and childish for most of the west.
On the other, anime-like moments can be seen as trying too hard to pander. Not sure if you're old enough to have seen this but I remember an episode of Billy and Mandy called Chickenball Z. Don't need to clarify what show it was parodying. I absolutely loved that they acknowledged anime there, especially as Toonami had either finished up or was close to its end. It was like bridging east meets west and paying homage to anime in a silly way. It was before anime references in western cartoons was common so it didn't feel like pandering but then I remember seeing a clip where that Horton Hears a Who movie had a bad anime reference. You could just feel the executives nodding like, "This is what the kids like these days, right?" Anime and Dr. Seuss should never go together.
But culturally, I'm trying to also see it from the point of view of something like...characters using slang from the black community (American Dragon Jake Long, an embarrassment to both Asians and blacks, though bless the creators hearts for trying, lol) or having a black character who speaks so much slang, they're only good for comedic relief or cringe. On one hand, the speech makes it seem like "all black people talk like this!" which is certainly not true. And in the case of the anime segment in PPG, you might get the vibes that anime is all the world knows about Asia, despite that anime is predominately from one country and even there, people that like anime are very niche and can be ostracised because anime is NOT universally accepted in Japan.
I guess in the end, we just have to pick and choose our batttles. They're baby steps but the world is at least trying to understand our cultures. Once upon a time, it would've been hard to see either of our races on American TV so progress is being made. Pitfalls and mistakes will be made but the media will get there...hopefully.
Edit: I wrote this reply to you before I'd rewatched that anime segment in this movie. Okay, that was fucking awful. Be upset. Very upset.
