Perfect for showing you don't have to spend tons of money for an afternoon of panning on the creek! On my DIY pants after scuffing up the smooth surface, I took a small ball peen hammer & put in a few rows of dimples. It definitely helped me keep more heavies in the pan during the initial stratification. Enjoy your videos!
Dude- I’m over in California and the only reason I’m here is bc I was sitting next to the river and after an hour or two I noticed how shiny the shore was. I collected a couple solid flakes just sitting there and grabbing them as I saw em, but the entire beach was glittering and I’m almost positive (although I don’t know much about prospecting) that I’ve found a small treasure trove after watching this. Every pan I had was atLEAST 30 flaksss moving around, small things of sand- seemed like an ideal spot with how calm the water was lapping up and all. What do you recommend for dry panning? So much of the beach seemed sparkly
Lol I had the same idea about the dollar store for last weekend. Didn't find any gold but I did score a huge bump and bruise on my leg from slipping on a rock. That was my 3rd time panning
Definitely enjoying this video. I was going to try drilling holes in one of the buckets i got, put them inside each other fill with water and dirt and see what happens lol
Well watched this video a few times... As well as some other videos... I decided to check around the house first... The wife has one of them trowls for the garden... I found an old tupperware container simular to your old rusty to use as a bucket we got some jetdry under the sink... For a pan i found an ol school pie plate at the thrift shop for 50 cents... For a classifier i found one of them strainers for 25 cents... So alittle looking around i spent roughly a buck with tax... Now i just need to figure where gold maybe in my area

Good job thats about it most people think gold is impossible to find and or get..it actually quite easy it really depends on where you live however. its not where you shop but where you live. i.e. Colorado, Montana, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Pacific Northwest and of course "God Forbid" California...
Your rite! All you need is a gold pan lol which is only $3 for a 10inch pan . But you can find gold with your hand if you try hard enough. Sticks and moss turn into a sluice box very easy also.

When u have a metal pan put it upside down on a fire until the out side turns blue that takes all the oil out and turns black on the inside so u can see the gold better
Hi Mate, That video was great for someone just starting and wanted to do it on the cheap. About seasoning your pan, I was shown by an old prospector that to put the pan in a fire to burn off the oils and to blacken the tin. I also have seen it done by heating it up with a gas burner. Check out Blue Dog Prospecting he has just put up a video on the subject. Dennis
Now that's thinking outside the box for sure! Concepts like this makes one want to challenge themselves to do better. I used a tomato sauce bottle for a snuffle bottle. Big but beautiful. Use one of those are medicine squirter‘s for like the liquid medicine you can use that as a snuffer bottle or at least to pick up the flakes
