Perfect for showing you don't have to spend tons of money for an afternoon of panning on the creek! On my DIY pants after scuffing up the smooth surface, I took a small ball peen hammer & put in a few rows of dimples. It definitely helped me keep more heavies in the pan during the initial stratification. Enjoy your videos!

Dude- I’m over in California and the only reason I’m here is bc I was sitting next to the river and after an hour or two I noticed how shiny the shore was. I collected a couple solid flakes just sitting there and grabbing them as I saw em, but the entire beach was glittering and I’m almost positive (although I don’t know much about prospecting) that I’ve found a small treasure trove after watching this. Every pan I had was atLEAST 30 flaksss moving around, small things of sand- seemed like an ideal spot with how calm the water was lapping up and all. What do you recommend for dry panning? So much of the beach seemed sparkly

Well watched this video a few times... As well as some other videos... I decided to check around the house first... The wife has one of them trowls for the garden... I found an old tupperware container simular to your old rusty to use as a bucket we got some jetdry under the sink... For a pan i found an ol school pie plate at the thrift shop for 50 cents... For a classifier i found one of them strainers for 25 cents... So alittle looking around i spent roughly a buck with tax... Now i just need to figure where gold maybe in my area

I just bought my tools today, it was 9,5 euros (a garden shovel (2,00e), two different bowls(bigger 2,00e, smaller 1,50e), a shifter (4,00e. There were plastic ones for 1,5 euros but I want it to last). I don't know if I'll find any flakes, but this stuff interests me and I already like minerals and doing earthy things. I don't mind if I find some beautiful rocks. :) I have watched your channel and PioneerPauly's too.

I was told to dig out under or behind boulders because gold would settle there before getting washed downstream??To look for boulders sticking out of cut banks, dig them out and dig out the dirt or sand under them, again going back to the first comment.???Getting a brick hammer or a hammer with a pick on one end and try to get into rock cervices to chip material out. Even vacuum out if you can get a battery operated system with a crevice tool.Any thoughts please??Thanks

Good job thats about it most people think gold is impossible to find and or get..it actually quite easy it really depends on where you live however. its not where you shop but where you live. i.e. Colorado, Montana, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Pacific Northwest and of course "God Forbid" California...

About seasoning your pan, I was shown by an old prospector that to put the pan in a fire to burn off the oils and to blacken the tin. I also have seen it done by heating it up with a gas burner. Check out Blue Dog Prospecting he has just put up a video on the subject. Dennis

@@krossmellow9434 absolutely, Virginia is known for having gold deposits. Just make sure you do your research, historically and present day private land and claims are really the main things to consider, of course state law above all.

    5 Dollars?!?!
What an outragous waste of cash!!!
The buckets come free from KFC and the pans come free cause your microwave "dinner" is delivered in it. You even have the choice of colour then and if you want a ripply or a smooth surface. Also you can chose what sizes and angles the pans will have.
    Costs: zero dollars.
And thats how you do it.
Just allways come to me and ask ... ;oPPP
