I'll keep this comment pinned to the top for updates about this video: 1) Any brand new gold pans are very smooth and will need to be "seasoned" - I'll have a video linked soon for that.
Hey.. great videos, but I’m here to invite you to my place this summer. I’ve found gold in the river 100’ from my door 😁 we’ve also got Morels if you’re gone this spring.
This is one of the best videos I have seen for gold panning, including the one I did years ago. Your step by step process is truly where it should be. Thanks for sharing.😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
I am 58 years of age and I have begun my journey into the prospecting for gold world. Your video is by far the very best beginners video I have watched within the last 6 months. I wished I could have ran into this video a while back when I purchased a $45 bag worth of pay dirt from this prospecting club I joined. Let me put it mildly, it was a waste of my money because I had no idea what I was doing and didn't pan our anything and the instructions I was given didn't even come close to your awesome. I guess that's part of the journey of panning, prospecting, and learning. Anyway, great job on the beginners video. Big, Big kudos 👏. Job well done Sir! By the way, I "Liked" " Shared" and "Subscribed" to this awesome video as well.
I just bought my first bag of pay dirt. I'm excited to start panning. I'm retired and don't travel well. The last time I bought gold, spot was $275 per ounce. Thanks for the videos. Cheers!
Sir, I have learned quite a bit from your videos. They are great. I check this tutorial quite often. I try to do everything you are doing. Ty. It has helped immensely.
I now own one of your kits and the first paydirt I have ever done was two of your krum bags and the second dirt I done was your begginer bag I've watched all your videos trying to learn from you and now I can retrieve flour gold from black sands and I owe it all to you and miller prospecting and flour gold wizards. thank you for helping me with my depression
I'm headed for my first day of stream prosprcting tomorrow... This video is making me far more confident I wont miss anything that might be there. Thanks so much!
I'm new to panning, I've bought a couple paydirt I've got almost everything I need, ive watched this video well over a dozen times, whenever I doubt my technic I go back and watch this again,so far I'm doing okay, still need the encouragement though, without amount your most important video,
Klesh you are the man!!! Jase and i panned our bag we bought from ya and had a blast!!!! We actually panned it, collected the gold, dried it and weighed it out. Then few days later put all dried dirt and gold back together and did it again!! ! We are so happy man. Thank you!!
You can't beat Shane for informative videos and paydirt. In my opinion he is the best. Shane always makes everything look so easy. I've been struggling with my panning so this will help. The only thing better is to have Shane with you helping you pan. Shane is a fantastic person and is always willing to help.
I’ve been watching your channel about 6 months and went back and watched a bunch of other videos of yours. I enjoy just watching because it’s very calming and helps me mellow out after a long day. And now if I want to actually go out prospecting, I know how! Just wanted to say thanks!!
Nice! I’ve been struggling to clean up my concentrates. I’m a visual learner so seeing you do this has me heading to my panning station (back porch) for a clean up! Thanks, Shane!
Thank you for the “how to” video, as for your pay dirt it is the cheapest to find and learn how to pan for gold vs other people who are selling “pay dirt”, it also help us who are poor but want to learn how to pan gold
Thanks I had never done panning before and I came across your tutorial! I am just a kid so I have a starting kit, and I got pay dirt from some random company, I just came across yours! I am going to save up some money to buy your gold krums mini pay dirt! I am absolutely in love with your channel and your videos are the best! -MD
I really want to thank you for making these videos man. You’re extremely informative and super helpful with teaching us how to do this properly. I’m still pretty new at this and it can be frustrating at times but this is just so helpful. Genuinely appreciate this. Side note -just ordered your expert and impossible bags. Looking forward to really taking my time with these challenging bags!
Just saw the comment about seasoning you’re pan I’m about as green as my pan when it comes to mining for gold so this was new to me you have taught me yet another thing that I should have already caught
Thank you! I needed this video. I tried for the first time panning for gold in a nearby creek and I could see I was losing possible gold and could not figure out how to separate it from the sand. Now I know. I cant wait to get out there again.
So excited, I went away on vacation this weekend, while floating down a river and coming to an end, I saw the shore of the sandbay almost "glittering" with gold sparkle; I didn't have service to do more research on what else this sediment could have been but after the hours ive spent researching im starting to think it was actually little flakes of gold. The shore was surprisingly very sandy so Ive been looking all day on how to properly filter sand, I love your tap method and all the possible things I could use that you guided me toward in the beginning of this video. Im very excited to go back, even if the end result isnt much
If you were able to see sparkles, it wasn't gold. Gold doesn't sparkle, and gold is heavier than sand, therefore it would be below the sand. Likely mica or pyrite (fools gold)
Thanx for making this video. I saw another video that you made of Alaskan pay dirt, and I became a subscriber. I'm very new to this, but I am extremely interested in trying it for myself.
I just got two of your beginner pay dirt ! I just found some thing very important for some one like me is to get the pan broken in! I suggest you mention it in your next video ✌️😎✌️ thanks it’s going to be fun
Bought some jet dry from the US online. I had one problem flake of gold that I use to test viscosity when doing clean ups at home. It literally was floating until jet dry physically hit it. So remember, some gold flakes will be real jerks no matter what!
I use a cat littler box from Dollar General. They are about 6" deep and pretty large (You could fit 3 Krusty Rusties in one and only cost about $3.00. I have 3 of them now. I also keep one in my car to use for when I change my oil. I have 2 of those super handy squirt bottles...a 500 ml and a 250 ml and they are totally essential and help more than folks will realize until they use one.
I need a crash course in how to use a snuffer bottle. The rest of the process came naturally after watching you pan a thousand times, but I just suck too much with that tool. Or maybe I don’t suck enough. 😛
Ive been laid up with a hurt leg all week and looking like ill be laid up for a while. Got hurt slipping in the mud while feeding my horses. Been watching your videos. Just wanted to mention that i havnt noticed you doing videos on culverts. I think colorado would be a great place to look!!! I bet you would find some! Thanks again for all of your videos.
I pan first bag 2 time's with 1 spoon at a time, nothing. I subscribed and looked at the paydirt bag . I be buying Klesh gold bags and good prices. Thanks for helping
Pretty cool thing just happened, I have four pans like auto, the one I used yesterday dried out nicely I went to use it today and I found about a dozen pieces of flower gold I missed, I'm just a beginner so I guess that's expected it was exciting, thought igot it all
Glad you decided to do a tutorial for this. I think I had it down from earlier videos in pieces for the pay dirt I bought but this was much more direct and useful for quickly figuring it out.
I think i've watched the same video about 10 times now, and every time I get something new out of it. Thank you. I can't wait to get my paydirt in. I only bought the 2 gram bag. But I'm sure the boys at Boy Scouts will still have fun with it.
Klesh great video man..Watching any one of your video shows us the basics but but concentrating on each step it explains much more especially to a beginner. great idea. I am one of those in the non gold states (Hawaii) so i love seeing these videos and seeing you review bags i might be picking up. I look forward to the next video. Take Care!
I use an extra large gold pan to hold a large pan to collect lighter sand and the water. I use a medium sized pan with big sluece ridges for the actual panning. I have plenty of room for water to slosh around, then once I am done panning, I can go straight to the large middle pan to reopen for any gold that slipped by. It also helps prevent water from sloshing out onto the carpet since I pan sitting on my couch.
Your video is very helpful. I'm new to gold panning and have bought different types of paydirt. I've tried panning either I'm too rough and washing off what little gold came or there was no gold. I look forward to trying your paydirt
I got some pay dirt (wish I got yours) the gold floats, super small, and I'm chasing it, I can't get it to get into one spot. Now I know about the jet dry. Gonna have to re watch
Its kinda just a dream for me.. But great lesson ! You probably havent had the op to travel to Lake Macatawa in Michigan yet due to the virus...I think its black sand " mountain" will impress you to say the least. Youd need a skilled boatman to get you there...hope you can one day !

What are your white picks version #?
Try to do a video of GoldBay’s impossible paydirt. I had fun with it and there is lots of pyrites to make it confusing 🤣
This is one of the best videos I have seen for gold panning, including the one I did years ago. Your step by step process is truly where it should be. Thanks for sharing.😎⛏⛏🔥🔥

I love crusty rusty but it need one big enough to hold about 20 gallons lol. Shane makes this look easy 👍
I have a feeling Shane could pan out of a teacup and make it look easy!
