- So I've had this done for over a month now but my video editing program is messed up and I can't render videos. Finally got this up!
Some of the best moments from Starkid's newest musical "Twisted". I had to leave a lot out due to time restraints, so feel free to comment with your favorite moments below!

the part where all the villains are like "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT" is forever one of my favorite moments in all of starkid :)

Dylan had one hell of a performance. I think it's the best I've ever seen him perform, and that's saying something because he's ALWAYS killing it.
I agree if you look I think he is actually crying in some of the songs and it just shows how he throws himself into a performance and how emotionally invests in a character

As a singer I love watching moments like these, you can just Hear the good technique as someone hits a sweet spot in their range and their breath support and placement and intonation are PERFECT and you just Know that their whole vocal tract relaxed into that glorious note 😌

actually she is quite easy to understand (and pity).
I mean she is an anorexic broken woman just like so many before her in the fashion industry. She got at an age where she can't model anymore but she still wants (or needs) to be the most fashionable in the room. They could have shown this side - the dark side of the fashion industry - but (incredibly) it would have been a difficult movie to make so of course they didn't.
Twisted: She's the only one who's actually evil

my friends and I were playing the finish the lyric Disney version and we used a random generator... A whole new world came up and I started singing take off your clothes after they started.... Luckily one of them liked starkid and laughed with me...

7:57 The way that Robert Manion says this line with the complete and total acceptance of a lover literally threw me over the edge
fun fact: the lyrics "one thousand and one nights with you is not enough to spend" is a reference to the saudi arabian story "one thousand and one nights" where a girl was held captive by a king who married a new woman everyday but kill them by night so to keep him from killing her, he told him stories every night. She would always end her stories with a cliffhanger so she could extend it to the next night. She ended up telling him storiea for one thousand and one nights and by the last night, the king was already inlove with the woman that he made her his queen.

But what about aladdins split personality scene?
it was so well done that scene made my heart drop and feel very very weird.
They may have avoided it because it's the one part of the play that is kind of harmful and sends a bad message. DID is super stigmatized and people who have it are bombarded by characters in media who have "split personalities" and are evil because of it. Jafar's reaction was fantastic though.

One of the funniest moments in Twisted is when Jeff comes out dressed like the merchant from the beginning of Aladdin and repeats a bit of Robin Williams’s monologue

It might have been sweat. He was wearing a lot of clothing and those lights get pretty hot. Throughout the show, you can see beads of sweat running down his face. Could be tears though.
I think at that part it was sweat, but at a lot of other parts in twisted Dylan looks like he's crying. he really is an amazing actor!!

+Bobzilla8735 i think it's kind of both. sweat for sure, but those lights serve another purpose. actors look up into them in order to help their eyes get teary if they're having difficulty. plus he widens his eyes a lot, weirdly. that also causes them to get teary.

Gwen Stacy TGWDLM and Firebringer are good, for me, Twisted is just the best starkid musical. Firebringer is good, The music is amazing, the story is good too but some of the jokes aren’t funny(too many poop jokes). TGWDLM is also good, the songs and story and jokes are good. But Twisted’s story, songs and jokes are the very best out of all their musicals.. but this is just my opinion :))...

I think that, on a technical basis, Twisted is the best musical they've ever written, but Potters are great because the references are even more obvious and we never really expected a musical Potter, whereas musical Disney is the norm. Musically I think Firebringer is second best, I feel the songs in my soul (those harmonies). But these are just my opinions. I also find TTO the funniest and TGWDLM the best concept and ANI and MAMD are the shows I never knew I wanted. (Might as well finish now huh.) I think Starship is underrated and Holy Musical Batman is funny, but overrated.
