    This mini series somehow made me feel that everything will be okay. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on skin care and acne in such a way that does not suffocate the average viewer.

    thank you Dr Sam I am glad that doctors staring RUclips, I am tired of those so called skincare specialists or esthéticienne acting like dermatologists and giving advice left and right!! keep up the good work!

    If I could reach into RUclips and hug you Dr B, I would. I'm in my late 30's and have suffered with acne since I was 12. Misery upon misery, year after year with seemingly no end. I'm not kidding, I've been following your routine for 8 weeks now and my skin is clear for the first time, ever. It's completely weird, I almost don't recognise myself! I had some products right, but not others. Some, I was using wrong (like Benzyl P), and on top of that I was buying into every fad new thing that came out. I've wasted so much time and money. I just wish I'd found you sooner! So, in short. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Xx

      B Boo hi, would you mind telling me if it still is working for you? did you discontinue the routine after it your skin cleared up? and if so did it cause any relapse of acne?

    Hello Dr. Bunting,
    I am on a good routine right now (seeing lots of results for my acne rosacea) using the following; in the MORNING, LRP Toleriane wash, LRP Serozinc, Finacea, SPF; in the EVENING, LRP Toleriane wash, LRP Serozinc, Stieva-A, Toleriane moisturizer. 2-3 times per week I use Malin & Goetz glycolic acid peel pads (I just chose those because I have many allergies and they have only 2 ingredients, whereas many others have 10s of ingredients).
    This routine has even cleared two large papules that were on my right cheek for 1 year and were incredibly painful, inflamed, red, etc.
    The only problem is that my right cheek where these were has significant red scarring and is much more red looking (seems to have broken veins, too) compared to the rest of my face which is virtually clear. Will the Fineacea and/or the Stieva-A clear away that red scarring and splotchiness over time? Or should I find a product to target that cheek's red scarring problems?
    Also, I believe I understood at the beginning that you said that rosacea sufferers should not be using retinoids. Is that true?
    Thank you.

    Great advices! But I am a bit confused about in what order you'd advise to use the different products in the morning and in the evening. Could you please provide a bite more information about that? That'd be most appreciated :) Thank you very much!

    Hello Dr Sam, thank you for the useful videos. I have a problem with scalp and if I don't wash my hair every other day it gets very itchy and get dandruff. I heard that washing hair frequently is not good, please could you do a video on explaining that topic?

    Thanks for these amazing videos! Could I use Acnecide + say Medik8 betagel together in a AM routine? Just so I am getting the lightning of marks benefits you mentioned the medik8 betagel helps with? Or is it a choice or using either but not together. So the Medik8 if you can't tolerate the acnecide but not as a boost alongside it. Thanks!

    Hello Dr Sam, I'm 35 with moderate, jawline, cystic acne, currently on week 5 of taking Isotretinoin (just had dose increased to 60mg) and my skin is now drying out with just one active spot. Which cleansing and moisturising products do you recommend for people on Roaccutane? Do those mentioned in this video series apply? Can I exfoliate gently?
    Currently using:
    - Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel in PM / Cetaphil cleanser in AM
    - Avene Hydrance Optimale Serum
    - Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser Dry/Sensitive (LRP Cicaplast Baume B5 ready for when skin gets drier)
    - LRP Lipikar Baume AP+ for body
    - Avene Cold Cream Lip Cream for lips
    - LRP Anthelios SPF 50+ mat sunscreen
    Thanks in advance.

      +Sarah Goodwin Cetaphil is great - try the Moisturising Cream at night and Lotion for day. Skip exfoliation altogether.

      Hello again, My skin is now completely clear after finishing my course of Roaccutane 4 weeks ago. Thanks for your advice, those Cetaphil products worked a treat. Can you recommend when to reintroduce acids? I'm slightly wary of going back to my old products which have some (quality) oils in them. What do you recommend please? Many thanks :)

    SPF suggestions for men, and ''darker Mediterranean" and "asian" complexions.. what about black people? even the darkest deepest skin tones need to wear SPF too its really important and they are ALWAYS left out..

    Hi Dr Sam, thanks for this video series. At what point would you say its best to go to prescription acne treatments? Also when (here's hoping) the acne clears up, what treatment routine then? And lastly, do you know of anything that is good to take to help hormonal acne, such as supplements etc? Thanks!

    It appears to me after watching all parts of the acne series that there are no anti acne products that are cruelty free. :(

      Acne products can usually be very irritating. Researchers always look for a new active ingredient that can be not only effective but also well tolerated. So because all of the actives we know now come from research labs, they are tested.

    hi dr sam,i'm 19,i started retinold and clindamycin topical solution 4 years back.My dermatologist did not say anything about starting off retionold slow so since then i've been using retinold every night without fail.My skin has cleared up but currently,i am using stieva a 0.5 cream with clindoxyl gel in the day to dry me out due to my usual production of whiteheads.I am really concerned as i am told not to use any moisturizer as my skin is very oily,my skin is always looking tomato Red,so any advice??

    Dr. Sam, could you please recommend a good mattifying moisturiser? I have enlarged pores on my forehead and even though I use a lightweight moisturiser after a couple of hours you can see the oiliness literally spilling from each pore. I've tried a ton of products but none seem to work, especially because I have rosacea and therefore can't use any product that contain witch hazel.

    • @DrSamBunting
      @DrSamBunting  8 лет назад +4

      +Ana Margarida Guilherme maybe just use moisturiser where you need it (like Effaclar H from La Roche Posay); and do use a mattifying sunscreen all over. Many are actually pretty effective as 'primers' - the only complaint we get about the Jan Marini Physical Protectant SPF30 is that it can actually be too matte for some.

    Dr. Sam thank you for making these videos and recommendations of products that are easily available even in Slovenia!
    I just bought LRP Redermic R and I don't know whether I should use it before or after serum?
    I'm using Ilcsi Herbal Spot serum which has quite light and thin consistency so i feel like I should use it before so it can "penetrate" the skin, but I've read retinol treatments come first in a routine so I'm quite confused. Thank you in advance!

    • @DrSamBunting
      @DrSamBunting  8 лет назад +3

      +Petra Juratovec I recommend using retinoid based products in isolation at night - in my opinion it's best not to try to combine with other ingredients as there is a risk you might inactivate the delicate vitamin A molecules.
