Nice collection of The Who, Steve. My favorite who record to put on is Who’s Next. My other favorite Who album is The Who Sings My Generation. Great share! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Chef. Certainly good selections there. After making this I realized I needed to spend more time listening to some of their albums I hadn't given enough attention like Sell Out and A Quick One.
What a great episode! The Who made so much music, great packaging too. It’s nice to hear your memories w the music, helps me put the music in context of time. Great collection
Steve - Nice collection of Who titles. Your vocabulary is spectacular! Tommy took me a long time to appreciate. "Live at Leeds" - I wore that cassette out. Who's Next is my favorite title in their catalog. Perfect album. Cool poster. It's Hard is another favorite.
hey Mark. thanks for tuning in. always great to hear from ya. appreciate the kind words. Agree 100% about Who’s Next. It really is perfect. Nice to hear ya like It’s Hard too. Those Kenney Jones albums really never seem to get the love they deserve.
The Who is one of my favorite bands of all time. I was heavily into them in jr. high through high school and beyond. I saw them twice in 1976 with Keith Moon and many times after that. One of the best live acts I've ever seen. Quadrophinia is still my favorite album of all time. Still a huge fan of Live At Leeds, Who's Next, Meaty Beaty, Odds and Sods and The Who By Numbers. I'm with you on Tommy, it never grabbed me like most people but still a good record and Endless Wire is absolute trash. Another great show Steve, keep them coming!
glad i got to see them live even if it was the 1989 tour. i enjoyed it although i know some Who fans don’t speak of it to fondly. thanks dude as always for tuning in.
Hi Steve - The Who 🇬🇧 never sold out. Pete Townshend had a great response in Rolling Stone to an interviewer asking him if he had compromised himself said " I am not only part of the establishment , I am the establishment "
Hey, the shirt matches the content. This video made me realize that I am missed a couple of things. I think I like It's Hard more than many other people, probably because of Eminence Front. I still haven't even heard Endless Wire, but I thought their last album was not too bad.
Hi Steve. I like revisiting albums which the critics dismiss. With the passing of time, the Kenney Jones Who albums aren't as bad as I thought ... Following John Entwistle's passing, it's difficult to make a case for the Who existing as a studio band ... I passed on some later Pete Townsend CDs recently (White City; Iron Man; Psychodirect) in a charity shop, as I thought they were slightly over-priced. I probably should have got them.
hey Carl. Always cool to hear from ya. Yeah I know what you mean about the band after John passed away. I mean I know why they're gonna "brand" (for lack of a better word) the act as The Who. But it really should be billed as Pete & Roger at this point. Obviously Face Dances has a very special nostalgic connection for me - but having said that I still have always liked those songs. I certainly get where its detractors come from. I have White City and Iron Man. White City is decent. Iron Man is a bit of a mess. Couple good tunes. Psychoderelict was Pete's latest attempt at making sense of Lifehouse if I remember correctly right?
Great video and some of the greatest albums of all time. That is my favorite version of Live At Leeds. That deluxe edition of Odds and Sods is really awesome - way bigger than the original album - Pure And Easy one of my favorite Who songs. Love Trick Of The Light but a bit lukewarm on the rest of Who Are You. Keith is actually not on it that much - his abilities were very diminished by then (except for the title track). Endless Wire really pissed me off. Waited all those years for a new album and that was such a disappointment. By then playing with the great Zak Starkey and he's not even on the damn album. Anyway great video.
No. First time was 1979 - first tour with Kenney Jones before Face Dances. Were amazing. They were red hot at that time. I like Face Dances too by the way.@@STEVEHEROLD

Nice Collection Steve! I definitely got into a big Who kick last year. My resepct for them went up tremendously! 😁
I know these are fighting words but I always preferred them over Beatles and Stones. Nothing against those bands but The Who just "spoke" to me more.

thanks Monie. appreciate it. but just remember..... DON'T GO TO A WHO CONCERT BAREFOOT!

Brian, the less said about Endless Wire the better.

@@STEVEHEROLD 'White City' was the only one I was vaguely aware of ... 'Who Sell Out' and 'Who's Next' are my favourites.
