    That's me! Thanks for the game Anna :) Since a lot of them have asked why I didn't talked the rook. If I take the rook she can play Bc5 and Pin my Queen to the king which would in return lead to the Queen's loss. Hence I didn't take the free rook!

    The best part is, whenever he mocks Anna's moves, Anna is better according to engine, and whenever Anna gets confidence boost, feeling she is winning, she is losing drastically :)

      No, I have to disagree per my comment above, after his blunder Bf4, attacking the pawn she just confidently pushed, SHE has a very strong move in activating her defensive bishop into a highly aggressive tactical monster threatening both his ROOKS!

    Anna, your channel made me play chess again, I am 66 and my last chess game was long time ago when Bobby Fisher and Tigran Petrosian played the challenge tournament in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am an old timer, Miguel Najdorf's time, I am sure your parents knew him. I am learning again in the computer blitz era. Cheers and thank you.

    Never trust anyone who says they are bad at chess before they play you. . . Lies, it's always lies. Play like they are a GM lol. The only time you can trust that your opponent isn't very good is when I say it, because I'm really bad at chess .
    Some days I feel like I'm doing really well and then other days I seem to miss everything lol

    Hi Anna, nice game here for you! In case you haven't gone back over it, I like your offer at 6:55 to trade Queens, the BxQ+, the pawn push, and then on his Bf4?, your threats are now optimized to activate your defensive bishop into a rook-eating monster with the play Bc6! He can't play Rb8+ because he can only recapture with his Bishop, which allows you to capture his other rook with Bf2+ fork. But what else can his Rb7 do? It's trapped. Game over. You win. Easily. You have some good opening moves. Have confidence in them to provide the winning opportunities. Don't be bluffed by higher ratings... play the board, not them.

    6:12 I dont understand why annas tower was allowed to live... Could the queen not have taken it? or the pawn? am i missing something? I'm a bit confused

      Because the white queen was undefended and would have been lost if the pawn took the rook.

    You were soooo close, you had him after the exchange of Qs, per the engine, but missed the win. Such a shame, hope you see the revenge match some time. Still its always a pleasure to watch you play. Of course I knew you where in trouble when you played two moves in a row that I was looking at. : ), I knew that could not be good.

      Because if he takes it, he'll lose his queen as the black bishop will pin the queen to the king.

    7:08 - what was the mistake here? Was the Bc6 a better move? Bxg2+ with later Bxb7 or Bxe3+
    Bar is showing a huge advantage for black

      Yes ... Bc6! or even Rf2!? were winning e.g ( 1...Bc6 2.Rxf7 Bxg2+ 3.Kg1 Bd5! )

    Unbelievable. Her pawn sits unprotected on c4 forever before he takes it, then he can go Bc4 check for many moves after his R is on b7 but neither one sees it. Both players should DEVELOP THEIR PIECES and I cant believe this guy is as strong as he says. Just get them out and castle ASAP it's something that every 1000 rated player is taught

    The opening he used was Colley (1925 champion I think) but with the brown bishop added . I first learned that opening from a chess master that was a collegiate champion. I met another master and he called it the French with a bishop variant and he spanked me concentrating his assault on my bishop with his king knight.
