- AEW Full Gear 2023 took place last night and as always it was an up-and-down, chaotic and CRAZY show like all AEW shows are! Today I’m going to go over everything that happened in AEW Full Gear 2023 last night including MJF vs Jay White, MJF getting injured, Hangman Adam Page vs Swerve Strickland and a possible reveal of who is the AEW Devil? Did I think AEW Full Gear 2023 was good or bad and is AEW still in downfall in 2023?

Saw some pictures of the match. Looks like the kind of match that would turn casual fans away. Largwe than life characters and compelling stories > death matches

To me, Starks is like the grand version of what Enzo could’ve been. Big Bill is so good at what he brings to the table. If you give him an S tier promo guy to team with, it’s gonna work. Starks is just Him in the ring too where Enzo wasn’t. I’m all in on Starks and Bill

Kayfabe wise jay was screwd by management because they allows the cole thing to happen. Secondly jay never hit the switchblade a move mjf has never kicked out the same move that got jay the three count two weeks ago. And finally mjf literally cheated to win. Mjf was on one leg realised he couldn't win and cheated to win.
Hopefully Thunder Rosa comes back in some months and later beats Toni for the title.

Based on swerves performance he should be world champion in 18 months or less. Absolutely should be the top guy from now on.
Jay white losing is within his character since he is an arrogant cult leader that underestimated and took MJF easy since he was on one leg.
I expect him to at least hold SOME gold in the next 6 months

Maybe we did, but don't know it yet? If Cole is the devil, it would explain why nothing devil-related happened while he was outside the ring. Might be something that becomes apparent in the coming weeks.

It was a good PPV however it definitely has it's issues, first one is they Overbooked the Main event, two it took 6 Orange Punches and a Beach Break to beat Super Mox, and last but certainly not least the God awful Refereeing in the Shida vs Toni Storm match other than that good show. Also if OC and Mox face each other in a rubber match there needs to be a stipulation, I think a Steel Cage match.

AEW Full Gear 2023 is my favorite PPV of the year. big props to everyone
Ladder match was good but cluttered. I like how they kicked it off but I’m tired of seeing flair. Swerve and hangman had one of the best matches I’ve seen and mjf of course did his this and put another feather in his hat.
Aew almost never miss with their ppv but damn they need to cut them a bit shorter. That’s my only complain 😅

I love Ospreay signing his contract then watching jay white, the last major new Japan import, get booked into a hole lol. So dumb everything around that match.
The PPV was amazing.
It was kinda garbage at times with the highlight being Swerve vs. Hangman & the low being Hulk Hogan vs. Switchblade.
I think full gear should be their flagship PPV. The first I ever watch and is always the best PPV

easily one of the best ppv this year only down side or complaint i have is we didn't get a "devil reveal"
New theory: Swerve is the Devil. He checks all the boxes for being a good pick for it, definitely has the backup to handle the beatdowns that were given, and it would explain why there was no devil sighting during the PPV given the hellacious blood-spilling match that he had.
Either him or Cole are the only good options at this point. Anyone else would be totally left field.
@@papitads1066 It would make sense for the Devil to know show if it was Cole too. It's possible that he planned to do something as the Devil during the main title match. But when the Gunns injured MJF, his plans got derailed and he had to play the best friend for the rest of the evening (with the exception of when he was failing at cheating on behalf of MJF).

If it'll end up being Swerve it'll be the dumbest thing since Swerve had nothing to do with MJF + why would a heel Swerve attacks heel Jay White as the devil when he got his own thing going on for him?
That’s a terrible idea he’s already on tv and just finished his feud with hangman. It has to be someone who hasn’t been on tv for min like Jack Perry.
No, it doesn't. Part of the point and fun of it being an anonymous person behind the mask is that person can be virtually anyone, including someone inserting themselves into a program with the Champion while being in a feud with another person.
Swerve is someone who has stated time and again that his main motivation is to be at the top of the AEW mountain, and he has proven that he's willing to do anything devilish and diabolical to get there.
So, it stands to reason that he'd be someone who would be willing to enter a literal blood feud against a former champ to increase his standing, while also hiding behind masks with his Mogul Embassy cronies to screw with the champ by giving his enemies reason to beat him and to take out his allies when the situation is dire. It's a perfect Swerve if you will!

I was fortunate to be there live. It was my first AEW PPV and it definitely won't be my last. Overall, it was a good PPV.
The main event was everything wrong with AEW packed into about 35 minutes.
They let Moxley, Hangman and Statlander all lose their matches against lower ranked guys???

This show was amazing I watched from 9pm till 1 am on the edge of my seat woman and men’s matches were just great fun and different
I did have a good time watching Full Gear it was fun to watch even though the woman’s title match low key frustrated me because well for one I can’t take Toni Storm seriously because of her gimmick and her talents lie somewhere else.

I was there. If thw crowd wasn't into stuff, i think its because we couldn't see. Spent half the time yelling for the to put the matches on the screens. They only had it for parts the swerve match and the main event. I had pretty nuch no clue what ekse happened because see it. I had floor seats btw, and the people in front of me kept standing up but even people jn the balcony couldnt see

I thought it was meh the leg injury, but in the end it made the match more unpreditable , i was sure that jay whould lost before the ppv so this made me more invest. I just think that all the Joe stuff was kinda dumb, like Joe wants max to be well to get a title shot so he did not help MJF with the bulet club after the match? He really should show up and kick the ass boys asses out of the arena.

The leg injury thing was the one that dumbs, it already confirmed it's gonna be MJF vs Samoa Joe after full gear and Jay White obviously gonna lose. What that leg injury does was just took all Jay White credibility as strong challenger after he looks so damn weak losing to one legged MJF
