As an honorable mention, I have to include Eddie vs Akiyama on the preshow of Full Gear 2022 (I was there). Yeah, it's not the greatest match I've ever seen, but Eddie living out his dream by wrestling Jun Akiyama...and the entire crowd screaming the three count, and then when it finished, I will not forget for a long time Eddie tearing up in the ring as everyone cheered for him and chanted his name... And then he proceeded to sell the PPV better in five minutes than TK/Excalibur had in weeks.
I can totally agree with this Especially when you consider Akiyama was taught to some degree by his favorite wrestler in Kawada Someone that he personally got to meet later on when he went to NJPW to both compete in the G1 and win one of their titles That match was very likely one of Eddie’s favorite I’d bet money on that
I absolutely loved this video - I don't watch a lot of AEW, but listening to the love and passion you had when talking about these matches was infectious
I'd say one of the reasons I can agree with Tempest on the Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros Cage match is because AEW has done what I, to this day, HATE about WWE's handling of the steel cage NO. ESCAPE. I will always be a bit biased, but Cody vs. Dustin is my favorite AEW PPV match ever. Why? Because I was there. And y'all ain't lying when you say everyone in that crowd had a tear in their eye when Cody and Dustin hugged. Because I sure as hell did. I love Bucks vs. Kenny and Hangman. I love Punk vs. MJF. But nothing will ever beat Cody vs. Dustin at Double or Nothinh 2019 for me. Unless I see a better match in person, that is.
My favorite AEW match (and my favorite match of all time) is Swerve vs Hangman in the Texas Death match from Full Gear 2023. It’s brutal and awesome and disgusting but so much fun. Also I was there in the KIA Forum so I love it even more.
For me there has to be FTR vs. Guns - Career vs. Titles on the list. All the teasing and playing around with social medai about FTR leaving, the Guns trying to get DQd, the near falls...hell that put my butt in the seat! Loved every second of it. And Punk vs. Darby, just because it brought me back to Wrestling after several years.
I haven't watched everything and I went with ZSJ and Danielson being my number 1 and 2 in that order but that match is my favourite match of all time and it will be hard to knock it off that position
Is there an official reason for the bleeps? Not complaining, really. Although, I would prefer it uncensored. Or, maybe an uncensored option. Is it a monitization thing? Is "monitization" a word? Not on my spellchecker...
Sad to not see the Cody vs Mr. Brody Lee Dog collar match on here. I understand there is emotion around it that isn't about wrestling. But it's still a favorite of mine.

It's the fact that Danielson's clinics with Omega and Hangman (both of them) are on TV... Mox-Darby for the world title was on TV. Jericho Jungle Boy was on TV!! The Mox-Omega cage match was on freaking TV!!!!
I think you guys left out a LOT of great matches you guys left off moxley omega in the lights out match, moxley omega in that exploding barbed wire deathmatch, moxley hangman in that Texas death match, and shibata vs Zack Sabre jr vs Daniel Garcia vs orange Cassidy which is just a perfect match, I loved every second of that one, I also think house of black vs the elite was incredible as well
For me, Ospreay Omega at Forbidden Door, is my number 1, always will be, I was there, the building came unglued for that kick out at one Asking me to put 9 more in an order, May never be able to happen
Ospray and Omega is just about the 2nd best match ever in pro wrestling. Its better than perfect, remarkable in every sense, it got my gf and friends into wrestling, and there’s nothing AEW can do, to over take how special and great it is. Sorry guys but that’ll always be #1
Im sorry is that judgment day 2000 slander. i wont have it. Its my favourite childhood wrestling memory and engrained the Undertaker as my favourite wrestler of all time. Also heavily agree with Pete's enthusiasm about Eddie Kingston, I was soooo happy for him when he finally beat Claudio (which on a non-PPV list, would easily be in my top picks). Dude is my new Mick Foley, I just want the best for him
(I didn't count anything that took place after Wrestledream 2023)
1. Hangman & Omega vs. Young Bucks - Revolution 2020
2. MJF vs. CM Punk - Revolution 2022
3. MJF vs. Bryan Danielson - Revolution 2023

10. Danielson vs. ZSJ - Wrestledream 2023
Pete can't count and I love him 😂
Too many great ones! But these two are in my top ten:
MJF vs Darby
Anarchy in the Arena 1
If All Out 2021 is AEW’s WrestleMania X-Seven, Revolution 2020 is AEW’s WrestleMania XIX
I would’ve had the first stadium stampede and the Omega vs Mox lights out match somewhere on my list.
I spent like 150 quid after this video. Buying all of the best AEW pay per views again to rewatch all these matches and more. Aew can be really magic
Not on my spellchecker...
to me, the best tag match EVER is still No Mercy 2002, but yeah, Omegage vs. Bucks is up there
Best ppv main events
Nxt take overs
IC matches
My favs got to be punk vs jungle boy at all in London such high stakes
Sad to not see the Cody vs Mr. Brody Lee Dog collar match on here. I understand there is emotion around it that isn't about wrestling. But it's still a favorite of mine.
Awww tempest. As a fellow Packers fan, I apologize for our franchise.
Insane who I'm making out to memories of myself marking out. Like... Revolution 2020 man.
God this was hard to make, AEW PPV's generally have lik 2-3 best MOTY candidates. But here was my top 10
10. Stadium Stampede Double or Nothing 2020
9. Pac vs Orange Cassidy Revolution 2020
8. FTR vs Young Bucks Full Gear 2021
7. MJF vs CM Punk Dog Collar Match Revolution 2022
6. Omega vs Ospreay Forbidden Door 2023
5 MJF vs Danielson Ironman Match Revolution 2023
4. Danielson vs Sabre Jr. WrestleDream
3. Hangman Page vs Omega Full Gear 2021
2. Cody vs Dustin Double or Nothing 2019
1. Lucha Bros vs Young Bucks All Out 2021.
(Number 0 is Page and Omega vs The Bucks, because of course it is)
Top 10 stables would be good.
This gets a thumbs up from me based on tempest shirt. GO PACK GO!!! (Even though we suck this year😂)
Tempest being a Blue Jays and Packers fan. Oh I pray for his blood pressure for these next few weeks
My list would have 3 Ospreay matches, dude is so damn good
It's the fact that Danielson's clinics with Omega and Hangman (both of them) are on TV... Mox-Darby for the world title was on TV. Jericho Jungle Boy was on TV!! The Mox-Omega cage match was on freaking TV!!!!
I think you guys left out a LOT of great matches you guys left off moxley omega in the lights out match, moxley omega in that exploding barbed wire deathmatch, moxley hangman in that Texas death match, and shibata vs Zack Sabre jr vs Daniel Garcia vs orange Cassidy which is just a perfect match, I loved every second of that one, I also think house of black vs the elite was incredible as well
For me, Ospreay Omega at Forbidden Door, is my number 1, always will be, I was there, the building came unglued for that kick out at one
Asking me to put 9 more in an order, May never be able to happen
Should do:
Top 10 WCW PPV main events
WWE TV Main Events
Whether you like AEW or not, they do have loads of classic matches.
This coming from a non-fan. They have a great portfolio
The next tables list and chairs should be best nxt takeover matches would love that
I usually listen to these without watching and I never have any idea what Tempest is talking about because he never says his match out loud lmao
Ospray and Omega is just about the 2nd best match ever in pro wrestling. Its better than perfect, remarkable in every sense, it got my gf and friends into wrestling, and there’s nothing AEW can do, to over take how special and great it is. Sorry guys but that’ll always be #1
Need to do a TLC episode each of Best and Worst Wrestling Managers
Im sorry is that judgment day 2000 slander. i wont have it. Its my favourite childhood wrestling memory and engrained the Undertaker as my favourite wrestler of all time. The chokeslams he delivers and the punch on vince after his weird turnaround walk are sublime.
(Ignore the nonsensical dq after the bell had rung which im sure i can try and justify 😂)
First comment gang 🎉🎉
Can you do top 10 greatest AEW Debut of all time?
I would be a total Troll just MJF matches non stop
Next ep sounds like theyre probably just going to bully Jericho a lot. While I might not fully agree, I understand lol
10 best aew character arc
Tempest in that Packers shirt GO PACK GO
With so much negativity and running down of everything in wrestling on RUclips, it's so refreshing watching these guys just fawning over their favourite matches
Do a part 2!!
Took me a bit to watch this but now I HAVE to see the top ten takeover matches
To me the greatest match in AEW ( and greatest ladder match) was The Young Bucks vs The Lucha Brothers for the Triple A tag team titles in 2019 .
